We visited as an emergency patient due to our vet not having openings. Their vet was very kind and didn't push services, but offered if needed. She gave us an estimate for a dental procedure and I was extremely shocked by the pricing. $$$$$

I've used this facility for 3 different pets. Always treated with courtesy and pets received good care. No longer a client only because I've moved out of state.

It is with great sadness, frustration, and utter annoyance that I write this review about this establishment. I have been a loyal client for 23 years. Eldersburg vet has taken care of my four precious fur babies (doggies). I currently have one fur baby left and the others are at peace/rest. On Saturday, December 11th, 2021, one of my dogs was taken to Eldersburg Vet as an emergency.

We arrived before they opened. anxious for him to be seen by his own vet that has taken care of him for 14 years. From the start we were given attitude, lack of empathy and compassion and were told he can't be seen due to being short staffed. Without even seeing him or hearing what we needed to say, we were told to leave. I was currently out of the state but called to plead that they see him.

The lady at the front desk was rude and more focused on getting me off the phone. In the midst of explaining she put me on hold two times and then said, "Are you done, can I speak?" I was totally infuriated and baffled by the lack of customer service and requested to speak to the vet. The vet was understanding and mentioned they were short staffed due to an employee who had COVID.

I completely understand the strain and worry that puts on staff, however, they were able to open and see the other non emergency appointments (we were told they were annual visits). They had two technicians and a vet working. In the past, there were three occasions where my dog had a non emergency appointment and we waited hours or was asked to reschedule because an emergency came in.

Why is it that we were not an exception? After discussing my dogs condition, the vet agreed to see my dog. After x-rays and extensive lab work, the results were alarming and we had to put him at rest. His condition was unexpected and his symptoms had sprung up within a day. We had to find a location that could euthanize him as we were told he most likely wouldn't make it over the next day or two.

In fear he was in pain, we found a very supportive and caring facility to assist. Eldersburg vet was unable to euthanize him. Upon leaving, I was called and heard staff continuing to speak about seeing my dog as an emergency and that they close at 1pm! I was so angry that the focus of leaving on time when my dog was ill was of such importance. We requested the file of my only fur baby left and found another vet.

I will never trust or be made to feel like an inconvenience when I need care for my pups. I spoke to the manager, Amy, whom I respect very much. She was saddened to hear we were leaving and was to look into the situation. This review is to share my story, not to sway you away from them, as that is your decision. However, if you are anything like me and my family, we care about our animals like children and want them to have the best care.

Eldersburg Veterinary Hospital has been our veterinarian hospital for 17 years. The doctors and staff are great very caring and friendly. They were so compassionate when we had to say goodbye to our 18 year old cat and they are treating our 13 year old blind, deaf and diabetic bog with just as much as love and care. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have old pets, so we visit probably more than the average person. I love this vet office and I love how they treat my pets. They've managed to solve issues that confused us for years (that other vets couldn't diagnose!). We love this place, definitely bring your animals here!

They wont see your pet if you have an emergency and charge huge rates for regular visits. I thougut the high rates were worth it for a quality vet, however when theres an emergency they're useless amd leave you scrambling trying to get into a bet on short notice that you've never been to. Take your pet elsewhere if you care about them.

My appointment was for 7 PM. We were not seen until 8. The vet tech who came out, tried to push an extra $75.00 worth of test on me. When I went into the office in Dec. 2020, I was told not to purchase a dog license until my dog had her rabies shot. Last night I was charged a late fee for the dog license because it expired. The staff was disrespectful and obviously does not know what they are talking about.

The Dr. & staff were fantastic! This was our first time here & I'll definitely use them again if I can't get a timely appointment with our regular vet. This is Leia & yes, she is trouble! Thank you for taking care of my little "peanut"

This is a great clinic. They practice great quality of medicine and go out of their way to minimize the stress of your pet. They don't want to jump to the old tactics of muzzling/struggling with pets. They only have your pet's best interest at heart. Some people say they may be a little expensive but I can say in this field you generally get what you pay for.

High quality medicine is so important but can be a little expensive. I definitely want high quality medicine so their prices are very fair. Plus, if this was human medicine it would be three times as much for the same things and same education!

Long wait time but they're so friendly. They were so kind and helpful when my cat ate something poisonous. The doctors take time to talk with you and listen to what you say. The prices aren't bad either.

Our cat was suffering from pancreatitis -- we had gone and received unhelpful instructions/next steps from our normal vet in Westminster, MD that could have resulted in her health taking a serious dive. My wife and I decided to get a second opinion from the vet that originally saw her at the animal ER and we were beyond pleased with the staff and their commitment to helping us through her treatment by squeezing her in for an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, being available by phone for questions, etc. I plan to switch my other cat's vet records here as well; I couldn't be more thankful for Dr. Laura Owens and the staff I met with.
