Thorpe Animal Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
In response to the shorter average lifespan of pets, Thorpe Animal Hospital stresses the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventative care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pet's complete health care needs.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, "drop-off" appointments are available.
Thorpe is a great vet; she works hard and loves what she does. She takes the time to care for every animal in the clinic. If she doesn't know something right away, she takes the time to find the answer and do what's best for my pet. I am so pleased with Dr. Thorpe and her staff, and very very happy that we changed (to her).

This place used to be amazing up until about this last year. There's a woman at the front desk named Barb that is down right rude. She gives snarky answers, has an attitude, and just drains my energy whenever I have to deal with her. I've never said anything before but today I had enough. Asked for her name and told her she seemed angry. Too easy to find another vet, their care seems good but if I walk out of a business feeling low and irritated and treated with attitudes for no reason then that's enough. You owners should maybe talk to her or ask your employees, cause you could tell I'm not the only one bothered by Barbs attitude.

Great staff, very clean and nice building. So far I've taken 2 out of 3 of my dogs here, my male dog I wasn't sure how he was going to do. He was timid, but absolutely ended up falling in love with the girls because they took their time with him. I basically had to drag him into the exam room lol, but after his appointment he was wagging his tail and demeanor completely changed after receiving love and cookies from the staff.
Very impressed! I'm also extremely picky about my 14 year old Pomeranian I've had since I was a teenager, they just get that she's my heart dog and are so sweet with her as well, super attentive to her history to make sure she has everything she needs. I love them for that. Thank you from me, Goosey, Hippo and Wizard!

Thorpe Animal Hospital has been such a blessing. They have been a tremendous help with all of our animals, but specifically so with our senior cat and reactive dog. They have been such a wonderful source of knowledge and support. They have helped us keep our old kitty comfortable and have been transformative with our anxious pup (we're actually getting his reactivity and fearfulness under control!) I recommend them to anyone I know looking for a vet. They are all so kind and patient. I am so grateful for their care.

My experience was good. Time frame was a little long, but I understand on a Saturday how it could take longer and was just happy to find a vet that was open and not booked up. I needed my little guy to be seen that day! Very happy with the service from all staff who were extremely pleasant and helpful. I appreciated the transparency on my little guys health status and cost of service.
As an FNP, I find that to be very important and was extremely satisfied that the doctor took the time to THOROUGHLY discuss Bailey's health with me. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with a fur baby.

The attention that they give your fur babies is amazing. They answer all of your questions, they listen to what your concerns are and make sure that you are comfortable with the answers that you received before you leave. If it wasn't for them, Stan wouldn't be here. They got me in when no other veterinary would. For that I am always making the trip to see Dr. Thorpe. Thank you Dr. Thorpe and your outstanding team.

They are so amazing here! I just moved to town and I haven't had to take my dog to the vet yet. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place. We called, said something might be up with my baby boy and they got us in a few hours later (even with the whole COVID situation they have order and it's super nice). Pretty affordable compared to our last vet, and super nice staff. Took care of Diesel and we couldn't be more happy!

We just moved here, literally everything still in boxes. Our dog vomited blood. Even though it was 45 minutes before they closed, they quickly took info over the phone while we drove the pup up, contacted our old vet for records, and made time to see our Yorkie. It caused them to work a little late as well. You can really tell they care about what they do. Prices were more reasonable than what we were paying down in the Lake Orion area.
I especially appreciate that they did not run a bunch of tests unnecessarily. Hubby is out of work at the moment (will the pandemic ever end?) so extra appreciate the honesty and well-run practice.

I absolutely love this clinic. The staff and the vets are beyond helpful and they are very thorough. I was a brand new client during the beginning of the pandemic. They were able to see me curbside and my dog ended up needing a series of injections. We did them all curbside and everyone was great. He then needed surgery and the team was amazing with Oliver's care. What's even more crazy is my dog doesn't like people and he actually gets excited to go here! He even started warming up to Amanda, one of the techs. I can't say enough good things about Thorpe. They are incredible.
