Dogs enjoy individual inside climate-controlled enclosures with cot-style beds and blankets for added comfort. Dog-operated doors allow them to come and go as they please with individual outside covered runs and plenty of room to move about during the day. At night, dogs are secured inside for sleeping. The Animal Inn & Wellness Center is located on a 30-acre farm. Sheep, chickens, two beagles and two cats call the farm home. Your pet will have plenty of stimulation and might even have some new experiences with all the sights and sounds.

The Animal Inn and Wellness Center is located on a 30-acre farm, centrally located on San Juan Island. Sheep, chickens, and our resident cat Suki call the farm home. Our friendly beagle Whodie, will often greet you as you pull up the drive. Over the years we have cared for family pets with many long-term clients boarding generations of pets.
Kitties are drawn into the Animal Inn ambiance as they are comfy, served and loved. How would you like a room where you are doted on with served meals, play times, brushing or massaging? Safety, safety, pet enjoyment, safety, caring staff and safety. Did we mention safety? At the Animal Inn your pet is secure while you are away.
We will do our best to care for your pets' well-being while in our care. We keep detailed daily records of eating, eliminating activities, administration of medications (if applicable) outside play times and general disposition. If dogs need an extra potty break, a water bowl inside their run as well as in the outside run, or bottled water we are happy to serve their needs.
If you are visiting the San Juan Islands with your pet, you will find all kinds of fun activities to do with them while you're here. But, chances are, you will want to indulge in some activities that aren't quite as animal friendly, and that's where we come in. We're the vacation destination for your pets.

These people are very professional and very accommodating. At last minute they took in our doodle Max. They needed all the right paperwork for vaccinations and were adamant for the safety of the other animals. Max needed one of his vaccines administered due to it being almost a year and the vet stepped in and gave him the shoot just so he can board for the day.
The lady that owns it was very nice and the 2 gals that worked the front office were very sweet. Their facilities were clean and lots of open space for animals. I would trust my dogs or animals with them anytime. Safe source and service right here.

We have been taking our dogs to The Animal Inn for over a decade. It isn't all that convenient as we live in another island, but for peace of mind it is worth the extra ferry trips. Dr Loftus runs a clean facility and hires caring employees. It's the perfect place for our less-healthy dog to stay when it's not practical for them to travel with us.
