Dundee Animal Hospital

We want to thank Dundee Animal Hospital and their entire staff for taking care of our Lulu. Lulu is a 4 lb papillon so we are always nervous to take her to the vet because of her size. They treated us so nicely. And They treated her so well. Every single staff member was so sweet and kind during our difficult time. Lulu came home today which we are beyond thrilled. Thank you to Dr. Kersting, Dr. Maras, and Dr. Gurevich. And especially a huge thank you to Dr. Kindra. She went above and beyond for our little Lulu

I would recommend Dundee Animal Hospital to anyone! My 8yr old pitbull had an emergency past my regular vet hours and we brought her in thinking she had a uti. She doesn't get along with other dogs so I am always nervous bringing her and trusting others. She ended up having bladder stones & needed emergency surgery overnight. All of the vet techs were wonderful and Dr. Knott was AMAZING!

They let us come back and and spend time with her before leaving her in their hands for the night. Dr. Knott was so informative and compassionate and called before and after the surgery even though it was the middle of the night. I felt very at ease and knew they were taking great care of my dog! In the morning, Dr. Adamo called and updated me and she was just as great!

From calling and having questions interacting with the front desk and them being so nice to the vet techs bringing her to and from the car, we had a great experience with everyone. Thank you so much to everyone at Dundee Animal Hospital for making our scary situation with our pup a very positive experience.

Drove here from 45 mins away (Maple Park), because all of the emergency vets near us had 3-4 hour waits. We got there and they were able to take our pup right away, and we were in and out in about a half hour. The doctor provided a lot of good information on our dog's condition, and the staff was overall very helpful!

I just want to thank the Dundee Animal Hospital team for doing everything in their power to help my dog. They are quick, communicative, transparent and empathetic in an emergency. They allowed my family and I the time and space to make decisions regarding her care. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Matthew K and his team for the energy spent and kindness they showed Lucy before she left us.

In the aftermath, I was absolutely blown away by their ability to handle intense things like this daily and remain gentle and sympathetic with their clients. I really hope I don't see the emergency room again for obvious reasons, but I know I can trust them to help me, and you should as well.

I recent switched my dog over to this vet because it was just more convinient than her old vet. I took her in 3/17 to get her leg checked out because she was limping they gave her rimadyl which after two days of taking it she stopped wanting to eat and her energy was so low. Monday 3/21 I brought her in again because she was not eating they checked her and got her off rimadyl gave her some other medication.

She got a little better but still not good Thursday 3/24 brought her in AGAIN drew some blood out to maybe see what was going on. Saturday 3/26 we rushed her at 3Am to the Dundee animal hospital once more the lady working was very rude and said there was no vet on duty why is it 24/7 and no vet on duty she gave us a number to Companion Animal Specialty and Emergency in crystal lake which they were so helpful there as soon as we got there they rushed to give her oxygen unfortunately my dog didn't make it and passed away. Saturday I had so may questions and blood results were in and Dundee animal hospital still did not give me a reason.

I'm very upset and angry that all week of being there I feel like they could of done more to try and save her. This was my first dog and I trusted the vet. I do not recommend this place.

We just got a new rescue puppy that was exhibiting possible parvo symptoms so we took him to Dundee as an emergency to get him checked out. It was really expensive but we got the best care for our new baby. We had a great experience and whiskey will be just fine. You can't put a price on your babies or giving them the best care. They were patient, empathetic and went over everything thoroughly. Couldn't have asked for a better emergency visit

Dr Maras has horrible bedside manner. Had to put my dog to sleep, she was cold, no compassion. When I arrived at 1 am I was standing outside in the dark, cold and rain. Door was locked. I called to let them know I was there and to open the door, tech proceeded to ask bunch of questions while I'm outside getting rained on holding my sick dog. I said can you please let me in? We can't talk about all this inside? Terrible customer service, no compassion to the stress of arriving at 1am and you are scared and worried about your pet.

My fiance and I had to bring my 7 year old cat in here for an emergency in the middle of the night due to seizures and had to euthanize him the next morning. Mary Jo the vet technician, was one of the most sweet, caring, and thoughtful technicians that made me feel comfortable with the decision I had to make. If it wasn't for her kindness during this extremely difficult time for me I might have made the decision to keep my cat going with further testing.

But I trusted her opinion and I knew it wasn't easy for her to tell me. So thank you Mary Jo. This will forever be one of the toughest moments of my life and I'm thankful eclipse had a sweet nurse like you watching over him.

Had a wonderful experience here. My dog growls at strangers so it's always difficult to find a good vet who isn't afraid if him, he doesn't bite but he sure makes a lot of noise. Lexi M. did a great job making my dog feel calm, he barely growled at her but she wasn't phased by it and was very professional, he got his routine shots and blood work with minimal stress and she even poped a few treats in his mouth through his muzzle. Would absolutely go here again in the future
