We have been patients at Mars Hill for ten years. I would trust the entire staff with the life of any animal I brought to them. Dr Joey Gross is a very caring person who explains the treatment he's giving in great detail. We had to say good by to a dear dog and the entire staff gave us the privacy, respect and sympathy that we needed at that time. As long as I live in this area Mars Hill Will be my dogs' caregiver. I love the staff and the vets.

We have been using Mars Hill Animal Hospital for a number of years with two different dogs. We had one dog pass away a couple years ago. The care and compassion of everyone at MHAH completely overwhelmed us. They went above and beyond of what would be expected. They are now taking care of Scout (Goldendoodle). They do it all: health care, grooming and boarding. We highly recommend MHAH for all your pet needs.

Our 4 dogs have been patients of Mars Hill for many years (10+). After numerous appointments, several surgeries, and questions that proved to be a genuine test of human patience, I would love to commend your employee, Cheryl Kinder on her commitment and professionalism to the patient families and service to the practice of Dr. Gross. She has always gone above all our expectations to answer every question and need with unwavering compassion and kindness. We are proud to have her on the team providing our pets with excellent care. This is a nice facility with average service and is close by. However, the prices are double what we normally pay. For example, a $17 vaccination costs $34 at this clinic. An office visit at Mars Hill is $65, when we usually pay $30. In addition, the staff is trained to work at selling more services so their efforts to capture revenue resulted in us paying out a lot more than the same work at another traditional vet. That is just too much for routine vet care.

My cat got sick on a Thursday. I called first thing in the morning and they let me drop him off right then. He was there all day and they kept me updated by phone. We still didn't know what was going on with him, but he got better after some medication. They called Friday morning to check on him. Dr. Wellman called Friday evening after she was done with work to make sure he was ok.
She arranged for me to get medication for the weekend and sent me all of his records by email in case we ended up at the emergency vet. Luckily, he continued to be back to normal. I feel they really cared about my cat and they did a great job of keeping me updated!

Was given a printed statement, which I paid in full. However, AFTER that, an additional $57 was hand written on the copy in their file. This was made known to me when I went in to obtain a written prescription for my dog's medication. They were charging me $122.50 for a medication that is $55.65 on chewy.com. I certainly understand a markup for them filling it there, but over 50%?
I asked the vet why the huge markup and she said there was no markup, thats how much they pay for it. I brought up that it was more than 50% cheaper on chewy.com, to which she laughingly said was not possible and ASKED ME TO SHOW HER on my phone the website to confirm their price. She went to her office and wrote the prescription, and brought it out WITH A COPY OF MY PET'S FILE and said (her exact words) "I don't think we're going to be compatable. Good luck finding a new vet." She made it clear she's in this for the money, not the animals.

Too expensive! Brought my dog in because she had been vomiting over 24 hours. They asked me if they could take her back to run some test and it would be 190 dollars. An hour later, they came out and said tests were normal and gave her shot for nausea and my bill was 500 dollars! A little misleading!

We treat our two dogs as family, and would do anything for them. Dr. Gross obviously feels the same way--he treats them like he would a human patient. He explains every procedure completely, and considers every available option. We'd never go anyplace else. And as for the cost--what price can you put on your best friend's care? This place is worth every penny. And the entire staff deserves the same compliment.
