Dr. Montgomery devotes a lot of his time to furthering the excellence of veterinary medicine. Not only in his clinic does he strive for the best care, but he works in the local community, the state, and national levels with the GVMA, and AVMA. Together, with these organizations, he strives to set the standard of veterinary care for your pets and help influence policy and laws that help improve the veterinary-client-patient relationship.
Puppies and kittens both need to come in over the span of a few months for a series of boosters. Starting at 6 weeks, they'll get their first vaccine, known as DHPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenze, and Parvovirus) for puppies or FVRCP (Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Chlamydia) for kittens.
Using Heartworm preventatives such as Trifexis, Heartgard, or Iverhart is not only a more affordable solution to heartworm disease, but is the healthiest way to protect your pet. The average cost of prevention a year is $40-50 every 6 months. Treatment cost ranges between $900-1200, and infection with heartworms can lead to significant harm to your pet's heart, lungs, and other organs.

This has been my go to Clinic for several years. Both the previous staff and the new crew in there now are and were a great group to work with. I'll take my " babies" there no matter what if they are in need of care. Both Dr. Neal and Tech Merle we're excellent. Scheduling and check out was seamless. Highly recommend.

Our last visit was great. My fur baby never likes anyone to touch his paws and I was worried that I'll never get his nails clipped. Dr. Klosterman and the vet techs were so helpful in getting the job done. Even though my poor fur baby didn't like it, they worked quickly and efficient. I will be visiting again for my pet's needs from now on.

The people that work there was super nice and very sincere to why I was there for the visit. I had to put my dog Sasha of 12 years down. I was a complete mess and they was very understanding of my heartbreak. They gave me as much time as I needed with her before and after. I want to thank all of them that was there that day for their kindness and understanding.

I have three fur babies. The doctors and staff are caring and compassionate. They are there to help my pets and actually spend the time explaining everything to you so you may make an informed decision in regards to your pets well being. They do not over charge and understand that people love there animals and want to care of them.

Always have and always will, recommend Dr. Montgomery's practice. You can trust Dacula Animal Hospital with your fur babies and trust they will do everything they can to help! (Even when your fur baby can be a pain!) Thank you all so very much & thank you, Mrs. Lisa, for always being so helpful and kind. Also, Michelle is a sweetheart, always asking if she can help me in or out. All of the staff are amazing! Very glad to call Dacula Animal Hospital my vet!

We have moved out of the area and after trying several other Vets, we still drive the hour to return to Dacula Animal Hospital. Very experienced and competent. They include you in the exam & diagnosis process and discuss all options. They do not push unnecessary tests. They care about your pets like they are your own.

I had an emergency accident yesterday. My Four Month old kitten ate pain pills that for my dog that was just at Dacula Animal Hospital the day before. I called them right away and they said to bring him in immediately. The pain pill was too strong for him. They gave him charcoal to dissolve the medicine, fluids overnight and done blood work in this morning.
I was so happy to get him back healthy this morning. They were amazing even though my kitten, Tiny, wasn’t too nice to them. I’m so thankful for them making time for my baby and taking care of him. I recommend them!

I have been bringing my kitties (6 total) to Dr. Mongomery for 13 years. He has walked me through a cancer diagnosis, an autoimmune disease, Heart Disease and Kidney failure and the best SELFLESS treatment for my pets, no matter how heartbreaking that was. Last year, when we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put down an aggressive animal he held me together and said the right words to comfort my guilt in the middle of physical and mental anguish.
My kitten had a mishap last week and badly broke her leg, and when she smelled his hand, she rubbed it stood up with her tail in the air, because she knew he would take care of her. That is what kind of Doctor you get when you come to Dacula Animal Hospital. He also keeps prices reasonable by comparison to other chain clinics.

I called Dacula Animal Hospital, on a Saturday, because my dog's sutures had pulled apart under his tail. He had surgery at a different vet to remove multiple moles/masses and was a few days shy of the 10-14 day wait period for removal. Unfortunately, the stitches under came apart Thursday night and looked pink and raw. I didn't want to take any chances considering the location.
When I called I was told they were booked, but if I came up there they'd try to fit me in. I waited less than hour before being seen. Dr. Nicholas Klosterman was our vet and took wonderful care of Ruger. He reassured me that it should health on its own with Neosporin and no licking. He offered to remove the stitches from the remaining 4 locations, and checked them out to make sure everything looked okay.
We walked out with a happy dog, peace of mind, and only paying $25.00! I would highly recommend Dacula Animal Hospital to anyone looking. I've already recommended them once and I'll definitely be going back.
