I was looking forward for my cat to have this new vet. She was to have quick exam before being placed on spay schedule. I drove over an hour long. Called to inform place I was not far out but they said it didn't matter. I understand policies but also expect some leeway, compassion, and understanding for specific situations. No customer service skills from the manager. Disappointed and really sad for my kitten :/

If you're new to the area or just looking I recommend this place. The staff is great and are very nice. The Doctor is very honest, professional and just over all great. I've been taking my princess (dog) for years now. I recently moved to a different city but still kept them; worth the drive. So look no further; go and check them out.

This continues to be one of the best veterinarian hospitals and practices in Lawrenceville. Dr. Pope bought the practice several years ago when the lady who owned it decided to retire. We have been taking our pets here since 1995. The care and concern expressed by Dr. Pope and the entire staff is extraordinary. You can look but you cannot find a better vet for your pets.

I have been taking my Aussie, Remy, to LSAH for 5 years now. Dr. Pope and the team at LSAH have always gone above and beyond to ensure that any issues that arise with my dog are met with informative, prompt responses that have helped keep me as worry-free as possible and Remy healthy and happy into his later years. Thank you all so much for your quality service!

Dr. Pope had been my vet for about 2 years, when I called to alert the office that I needed to bring in one of my cats, as she was very ill. My cat had been strictly an indoor cat for 12 years. She had stopped eating, was losing weight and acting very lethargic. Dental issues ran in her family, and I noticed she was also drooling. She was very afraid of people and being handled.
I was lucky that I was able to sneak up on her with the carrier from behind, and get her inside. The receptionist spoke with Dr. Pope about my appointment, and told me that because my cat did not have a rabies shot, if she scratched or bit one of the staff, she would need to be euthanized, to have her tested for rabies. I understand that Gwinnett County only requires an animal to be quarantined for 10 days under observation, and I mentioned this and asked that they recheck with Dr. Pope.
She confirmed that per Dr. Pope, my cat would need to be euthanized. Of course I did not bring my cat into this office, or any of my other pets ever again. I made an appointment with another veterinary office, for the next day. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to recapture my cat in the carrier. she was so stressed out and frightened by that time, in addition to being so ill.
She was tested and diagnosed as most likely having cancer. She was put to sleep shortly afterwards. Neither myself nor my dying cat, should have had to experience the cruel stress and delay created by Dr. Pope's indifferent, callous and flawed policy.

This is the best vet I've been to. I've tried Banfield, Gwinnett Animal Clinic, and Tiger Tails but none have compared. Both the doctor (Dr. Pope runs the whole thing!) and assistants show outstanding customer care and a passion for what they're doing. Highly recommend to everyone looking for the best. -BTW, loved this sign by their door so here you go!

I've been a walk-in for months and today I was denied service! I called before closing to let them know I was pulling up just to get a nail trim and was told no one would assist me. Their website states: Our staff is friendly and helpful, and we treat our visitors like family. My pet was not helped and I was treated like a misfit. I understand you can't make everyone happy, however, a little kindness goes a long way.

I have been bringing my tiny dogs to LSAH for over 10 years. I have always loved the care given my animals by all of the staff. The way my girls were handled was more important than anything else. Over a year ago a new vet bought the veterinary. I found Dr. Pope to be very gentle and caring with each of them while also very thorough. In the last year we've received great, informative emails, educating us on new products available and info on keeping your pets healthy. 3 weeks ago one of my dogs became very ill and we weren't able to save her.
I can't stress how wonderfully gentle they were with her while trying to reverse the situation and how kind and compassionate they were to me in my sadness. Dr. Pope is a warm, caring and knowledgeable vet and his staff is amazing in good times and sad times. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Pope is now the Vet at this clinic and he has been AWESOME with both of my Dobermans (Samson and Delilah)! I have been going to this location now for several years and there is a huge difference in the quality of care for my dogs. Dr. Pope started an animal health card, what an ingenious idea! This card allows you to keep your animals information with you in your wallet just like your own health card!
The entire team at Lawrenceville/Suwanee is incredibly friendly and professional and treat my dogs as if they are apart of their own family. If you are looking for an exceptional, affordable Vet, this is the one! My dogs are like my kids and I wouldn't trust anyone else with them!

This vet has new ownership and I feel compelled to share my amazing experience about the new owner, Dr. Pope. I had a mild emergency in that I needed to get in to see a vet rather quickly today. I was referred to Dr Pope's practice by a friend who urged me to give the "new vet in town" a try. I'm so thankful I did! I have been to many vets in and around Suwanee (there are a ton of them!) and I really haven't felt comfortable with a single one!
Others that I have tried all seemed overpriced, impersonal and I often felt shuffled through rather quickly. Too many times I left with unanswered questions because the vet was long gone with the next patient. Dr. Pope took the time to go over the details of my dogs situation and I appreciated the genuine care he exuded to my dog. He truly cared and it showed. It's rare to find a vet that cares as much for my dog as I do!
His fees were fair and I appreciate the attentiveness of his staff as well. All the ladies were very kind throughout my visit and all very professional. I am relieved to say that after 5 years in Suwanee I have officially found a long term vet for my furr-family!

My dog broke her leg while we were out of town. She is a 10 pd almost 10 year old dog. We had the worst experience coming home and bring her to this vet. We scheduled an appt and they didn't even tell us we would not see a dr. but a fill-in who did nothing but weigh her and look at the x-ray and tell us we would have to come back to see a dr.
We were still charged a $50 exam fee though. Subsequently, we were told she could be in her soft cast for 3 weeks and when we brought her back her break was worse and were charged over $500 to re-xray and cast her leg. It was a terrible and heartbreaking experience I would not recommend to anyone who loves their pet. This office does not care about animals and seems to only care about the money.
When we asked for some help on pricing for subsequent treatment based on how much we had already paid, we got nothing. No creativity or payment plan options to help our dog. Just seemed like they really didn't want our business nor did they want to help an injured animal which just seems out of the norm for what a vet should be like.

LSAH has been our regular vet since adopting our two cats, however the service seems to have gone downhill. Dr. Karous examined our first cat once. She seemed very professional and caring and we were pleased with her treatment, hence the reason we returned. Since then, other doctors have been responsible for the exams and we simply aren't as pleased with them.
We are strongly considering taking our cats to another vet in the future. I'm left with the impression that money is their main concern, not the well-being of your animal, and this is why: After spending over $400 in one day for various vaccinations, heartworm preventative, and a follow-up blood test, I was called after returning home and told the blood-test was actually more expensive and I would need to pay the extra money.
The difference between what we were charged and what the test cost was $50, yet they couldn't eat their mistake after we spent over $400 there. I don't pay for other people's mistakes. My cat will be taken elsewhere for the test and LSAH will most likely lose my business completely.

I took my 2 dogs (Tapi and Bailey) for a checkup here and met with Dr. Donelan. I had this bad vibe about her because she didn't seem so friendly with my dogs at all. She wasn't nice and impatient with Tapi because he got scared and didn't wanna come out of his cage. Then she slams down her notebook and was like, c'mon ON! And pulled him out.
I stood there like, wtf? She wasn't friendly with Bailey either. And the whole time I was there, she's trying to upsell EVERYTHING! She's more concerned about selling me stuff then my dogs period. That's just FYI based off my experience.
