Our population explodes during the school year, but the rest of the year we are a quiet, rural town in Northeast Georgia. Since the University of Georgia has one of the finest veterinary teaching colleges in the country, we have access not only to the animal medical, research, and diagnostic facilities, but to young, bright upcoming future veterinarians as well.

Appointments can be made in 2 ways, by calling us or scheduling online. Our team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies and urgent care needs are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call before coming in so that our staff can be better prepared when you arrive.

The staff is wonderful! They come out to your vehicle to check you in and you can wait in your vehicle or go in with your pet during the exam, it was fast and easy and the veterinarian comes out to your vehicle to talk about your pet's exam!

Every single vet, assistant, tech and office worker who work here have my sincere gratitude for everything they have done for our Brenna Belle over the last several years of going to them. HAD to write a review especially after todays visit. I have had nothing but amazing visits everytime I go here. They are quick with there service and treat all my fur babies like their own. I wish I could've caught the girls name who i talked to today when she came to my car but she made me feel VERY good especially after my cats horrible problem!

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff and treatment is 5 stars! I recently had to put down my 14 yr old best friend and although painful they made every bit of it peaceful. They also sent me the most beautiful card. 10/10 recommend!

My Maggi (who is a four legged child dressed in a Chihuahua outfit) has been a client since she was about 12 weeks old. She is now over 15 years old. I wouldn't trust her to anyone else except the kind, caring, compassionate people at Winterville Animal Clinic.

This is one of the best vet clinics I the state. My fur babies have always been treated with love every time I have been there. The wait time can occasionally be longer than expected but usually because of an emergency. It has a full staff of doctors so you get to see a vet each time and they are all great.

I could not say enough wonderful things about Winterville Animal Clinic I'm so thankful for their patience, thoroughness, and care for our sweet pup. They definitely make huge strides in making trips to the vet. a lot easier. Fair prices. Phenomenal care! The respect and tenderness that Dr. Jacob showed our pup during a VERY difficult visit was astounding. Every employee we encountered was exceptionally professional. Everything was explained thoroughly and we never felt any pressure while we made a very difficult decision. I've been taking my animals to them for a while and I always regret it when I try another vet.

I loved this place because even tho my Sammy cat was not already a patient they let me come in and worked me into their already booked up day. I had called three vet offices that I had always used and none of them offered to work him in. He had a nasty ear infection and needed attention soon. As an animal parent I so appreciated them helping my kitty cat feel better. Thank y'all so much Winterville Animal Clinic. 5 stars to really nice and caring people!

Phenomenal. Extremely welcoming and positive environment. I loved how accommodating they were for my family and I. Although my appointment was for one of my rats, the clinic was more than happy to accommodate my service animal throughout the entire process. I also appreciated that they walked me through everything and actively kept me in the loop.

A lot of my previous vet experiences included a lot of "talking over my head" and required digging to get explanations for proposed treatment options and courses of actions. That isn't something you run into here. All around fantastic place.

Excellent surgeon! He was able to fix my cat's rectal prolapse with the correct abdominal surgery, since the purse string surgery didn't work. It was a reasonable price, too. The staff there are professional, caring people. They are patient and answer all questions. Since we're planning to move back to the Athens area, I have a great new vet now! :

I love the veterinarians and their technicians at Winterville! They always take the time to fully answer any and all of my concerns. I always feel like I have someone on my team when I bring my fur babies to them. I've used them for everything from routine care to surgeries for my 3 dogs and I have never been disappointed. I am a woman of many pet birds, and injured wildlife seems to find me with relative frequency. The vets and techs at Winterville animal clinic take wonderful care of all these critters, especially the wildlife. which I know they take special effort to release back into their own territory. After my many wonderful experiences at Winterville Animal Clinic, I'll never take my critters to anyone else!

I drove my dog 5 hours and two states to get major knee surgery at this clinic because I believe in what they do. Their staff are dedicated, skilled, and compassionate. Their prices are extremely reasonable. They care more about your pet than making money or looking fancy.
