We are conveniently located near the Long Island Expressway, Northern State Parkway and Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway. From NYC and anywhere on Long Island take the LIE to exit 44 South (Route 135/Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway). Get off exit 10 (Old Country Road) and bear right at the traffic light.
Dr. Monaco was born and raised in Queens, New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University with a major in Biology. Dr. Monaco had the privilege of being accepted into the vet program at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts, and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1990.
What should I feed my pet bird? The answer is PELLETS! Generally, our pet birds will live a long and healthy life if they primarily eat pellets and a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. Seeds are also high in fat. Birds in South America and Africa are rarely if ever exposed to sunflower seeds and peanuts.

My beloved 30 year old African Grey, Larry Bird, spent seven months boarding at this wonderful & unique clinic. The Doctor and staff are wonderful and they do a terrific job, they really put their heart in what they do. They're all friendly and compassionate, they love and treat our pets with so much love. My bird was not too fond of pellets, but they changed his diet while he was boarding at the clinic and now he loves his pellets.
Every morning he stand by his bowl eagerly waiting for his delicious pellets! His feathers are more beautiful than ever! Thanks to this great team! I'm so happy with the service we got and I know that Larry had a great time while boarding. If I ever need a place to leave Larry, I know I can always bring him back. And the best thing is that once you know your pet is in loving and caring hands, you don't have to worry about anything. Doctor Monaco & his staff are the BEST! Seriously impressed by Dr. Monaco's knowledge on so many different animal species. He has cared for my axolotls and chinchilla. I find him to be friendly, knowledgeable, and realistic. Clean office and friendly staff. It's easy to see they all are passionate and dedicated to the practice. I would take my dog and cat there too if I was not already established at another vet for them.
