The BEST vet we have ever experienced. One of our dogs was attacked by one of our other dogs. She punctured his eye. We called multiple vets in the area. No one wanted to take him. We took him to the Petco animal hospital. They kept him 5 hours and didn't even cleaned his eye. They gave him wrong medication and offer us to go to " specialist " for $750 exam.
A friend of ours told us about TLC Animal Clinic. On first place they are so welcoming and compassionate. The doctor was very gentle and explained EVERYTHING in details. They did the special eye exam on both his eyes, gave him antibiotics and 2 different eye drops. Explained the results from the exam and told us few times what can happen after we start with the treatment and in what cases to go back immediately.
The whole bill for everything plus protective cone for him was $220. Way under the $750 the " doctors " from Petco hospital offered us only foreye exam. On his check up, all of the nurses came to see him and make sure he is ok. They are AWESOME. Definitely RECOMMENDED place for your 4 leg child. Thank you guys for everything. You saved Gizmo life.

TLC is the perfect name for this clinic My family and I have taken all your dogs here for a good reason. They really take care of your pets and really address the problem with each animal. Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee are very attentive and skilled veterinarians I've ever seen. They listen to you while examining the pets and give the best advice accordingly. I recommend TLC Animal Clinic to anyone over any other clinics out there Keep up the good work everyone at the clinic

Only great things to say about the doctor! Dr Bonghoon Lee is probably the best vet doctor in town! However, the front desk staff Sarah is really mean. Not kind at all and easy to disregard or use condescending tone or voice. Not only that they hung up on me to get off the call. Ladies people sense when you're mean on the phone. I had a bunch of question pertaining to my visit and you don't have to be so rude.
Learn to be kind and make that your mantra if you are working in customer service/front reception work. You are the FACE of the hospital and vet. Especially the face of Dr Bong Hoon Lee. That means both of you should live up to that genuinely nice and professional doctor and respect your clients even on the phone. I'm sorry you had a bad and busy day but don't take it out by being short with your customers. It's clear you don't want to stay on the phone. I will update the remainder of my visit after my follow up.

I have been coming to TLC since 2012. Back then, Dr. Kim and his team were the best. I remember one time, I had to get payment for my dog and Dr. Kim waited two hours after he closed for me to pay him. And I thought he must really love his job. Because he was not upset, instead he took his time to make sure I knew how to use the medication. But since then, things have changed.
I am no longer the young adult who had to ask her friends for a loan to help pay for my pet's medical bills and TLC is no longer the friendly and caring clinic that it used to be. My nightmare started in December 2021 when I called 4:00 pm because Gigi was unable to move her hind legs. Gigi has been a patient since she was 5 months old (now 3.50 years old) and I wanted to bring her to TLC and have a doctor evaluate her condition but I was told that was not possible because the earliest appointment was several days later.
I was very disappointed in that Gigi had a medical emergency and the doctors in the office did not have the time to see Gigi or even talk by telephone. I eventually took Gigi to VCA in Los Angeles. Her condition was evaluated and she had surgery for a herniated disc. Fortunately, Gigi has fully recovered and is doing well. After Gigi's surgery, I called TLC and asked to speak to the office manager so I could let her know about my experience.
I was told she was not available, but she would call me back. As of today, the office manager has not returned my call. Although, I was disappointed that Gigi could not be seen, I decided to stay with TLC because all of my pets (two dogs and a cat) are familiar with the TLC doctors and I thought there must be a good reason why a few minutes could not be spared to see Gigi during her medical crisis.
But unfortunately, today the TLC staff proved me wrong. I called at 11:00 am because my cat was having problems with her eye, lack of appetite, and trouble walking. I was told she could not be seen because the doctors were fully booked. I asked to speak to Dr. Kim. I was told he's not working today and that the doctors at TLC no longer speak to the pet owners because that's the policy of the new owner/management.
I then asked to speak to the office manager. I was told she was very busy and that she would call me back on Monday. At the end of the day, nobody wants to go to a pet clinic when their pets are healthy. Yes, it's good to schedule routine appointments, but when your pet suffers from something unexpected that's when you really need the help and advice from their regular doctors. If they are too busy for an in-office visit, is it too much to have one of their doctors call to see what's going on?

Took my dog here for puppy shots and everything was fine. But first was when we went in for pre-neuter meeting, puppy was scared and nervous. Dr seemed equally scared, asked to muzzle the dog, which was fine, we did. But the whole visit was awful and he said rude comments about my dog and me for his behavior, which is common for the breed of dog I have.
Instead of taking time to get to know the dog dr was aggressive verbally with me and how he handled the dog and we had a terrible experience. I canceled the surgery, absolutely did not trust him to care for my dog and would ruin his experiences. Found an amazing vet who's whole team clearly loves dogs and works with them, are super knowledgeable about how to make them feel comfortable and my dog loves going there.

I felt completely unsupported and just someone they could over charge. I brought my cat in for a chronic issue but upon blood work being done it was clear he had a more pressing urgent issue going on. Tlc kept him for 5 hours when he clearly needed to be seen by Emergancy services. They attempted to treat his chronic condition, unsuccessfully and I was still charged.
As well as charged for another unnecessary procedure. Once they finally called me to come get my cat they advised I take him to the hospital. They gave me a number on a post it. No address, no other possible options. That hospital had a 6 hour wait time and another local hospital that I contacted wasn't taking any patients due to their doctors being unavailable.
I was able to find a local urgent care that was able to start fluids and they set up a transfer to a hospital with specialty capabilities. Unfortunately it was all too late and my precious cat passed. The sickening part is TLC was also trying to charge me for 2 prescription medications to take home on top of the gross over pricing they had already done. I'm not saying don't bring your pet here, all I'm saying is in my pets time of need I felt completely unsupported and just someone they could overcharge.

I've been a customer at the Chino Hills TLC for a couple of months now. I'd like to first say that both Dr. Lee and Dr. Kim are incredible vetinarians. I brought my cats in for a ringworm infection (known to be a difficult infection to treat because it's a long treatment process). Both cats are now and happy. If there was a separate yelp section for the doctors, they both deserve 5 stars!
Reading a couple of reviews I'd like to put my two cents in with the office manager, Sarah. I also had a terrible encounter with her. She's has no empathy for either the parents or their fur babies. I told her that my cat may have had a miscarriage from her pregnancy. I tried to make an anticipated follow up appointment (after the ER) and she refused.
She rather I wait another week or so before I make the appointment? What if there was a complication from the ER visit? I'm a nurse and if my patient wanted a follow up visit from the ER, I wouldn't turn them away. **and on their website they stated that they take emergency cases during regular business hours? (Refer to my screenshot below) Sarah, the manager, is not meant to work in a field interacting anyone with a soul or fur babies.

I have a corgi and noticed that her breath gets kind of bad. Noticing her teeth need a lil cleaning, i decided to call this place to get a quote and find out what I'd need. I spoke to Sammi and she was MEGA helpful. She broke it all down for me and told me how much it was which wasn't too bad considering how expensive dog dental services can be. Definitely recommend this place based off of the customer service alone. Ill be in soon for that dental cleaning after saving up a bit for it!

It's really unfortunate with the type of management TLC runs. Sarah, who's apparently the "manager", is extremely rude and dismissive (this happened on numerous occasions). Even if the vets and other staff are friendly, having someone like her represent the office deters patients, even loyal ones. I've spoken with multiple patients who take their business elsewhere due to their negative interactions with Sarah. There's even other low rated reviews that mention her nasty attitude.
Funny how she's the manager when she lacks emotional intelligence and people skills. There's many other competent TLC staff members who could easily (and effectively) replace her. Really sad how much one employee can hurt a business.

We had been using TLC for over 20 years since Dr Kim opened but recently noticed the level of care declined dramatically. It has gotten so bad they removed a wart on the wrong paw on 1 of our dogs and provided ear drops that were supposed to be eye drops. The workers have all changed. They are the worst. Sarah is the most abusive ignorant person I have ever met.
Should be fired and not allowed around pets. Beware. Just found out why. Dr Kim sold out to a management company and no longer can hire and fire who he wants. Dont trust this place any more. Taking our dogs to a different privately ran facility with people that love animals and know how to treat people with respect.

My family has been a client of Dr. Kim and TLC for 12 years. We have had several dogs in his care as we've always had multiple dogs. On Monday March 7th 2022 at 4:00 pm I called them to try to get an emergency appointment for one of my dogs that had collapsed on a walk it's the first time in 12 years one of my dogs needed emergency care so I reached out!
I was told they had no appointments until Wednesday March 9th? But it's an emergency and you've been my vet for many years, ?I'm sorry we can't help you but, you can call this number at East Valley Emergency in Diamond Bar, CA. which is on (TLC's voicemail and answering service in addition to the front door of their business) they can help you?
Now it's Tuesday March 8th and we go to East Valley in Diamond Bar, CA. at 7:15 am with our very sick dog in the backseat and a guy with a clown mask ( how appropriate) tells us they are closing in 90 minutes and can't help us and we were the only ones there! Desperate because my beautiful Nellie was in distress going on 2 days now I drove directly to TLC!
Because they were opening soon and knew they would help us it's an emergency right? I was wrong I was greeted by the "office manager" Sarah as she called herself in the parking lot that said they were just too busy to help me even though my dog was so sick in the backseat of my car and one of their regular patients? Bottom line TLC stands for "Tender Loving Care"? It's time for them to not only change the name of their business but, their voicemail message that refers you to someone that can't help either!
Along with the phone number of East Valley animal Hospital on the front door! In addition to all of the above maybe replacing the "office manager" that should learn how to deal with the public and especially the loyal clients that have supported this business for many years and spent thousands of dollars $$$$! As of today we are no longer clients of TLC we have picked up all of our dogs records and are in search of a new vet that will be able to help us not only for regular office visits but in an emergency situation. FYI.
If anyone reads the Yelp reviews on East Valley Emergency there are soo many that are similar or worse than mine! We can't all be wrong. Unfortunately we lost our beautiful Nellie on March 10 she went into her bed and went to sleep peacefully RIP Nellie. Soo sad.

We came to Dr Kim from out of town with a sick dig, already treated by our vet at out of state. We were able to get a same-day appointment. He quickly diagnosed a serious condition missed by our vet and our dog is now on the mend. He was gentle, compassionate and very capable. He would be our vet if we lived in the area.

We've been taking our dogs to TLC for years and have always been happy with the level of care they receive. It is simple to make appointments and they are always friendly and accommodating. It is obvious that the staff really do love animals and understand how important they are to our family. I highly recommend TLC for your veterinary needs.

Dr. Lee and Dr. Kim, along with their staff, are the best! We have 3 fur babies, two senior pups (small chihuahua Bailey and mixed Pomeranian Ari) and one young adult (reg. size Chihuahua Jax). This month, Jan. 2022, our fur babies were all hit with major needs. Dr. Lee has cared for Bailey since she got a cough in 2020. Her heart and trachea were giving her trouble.
With care, he walked us through our options. Fast forward to late 2021 and early 2022 we noticed Bailey swell up, dental issues. She's high risk but needed to go under anesthesia. Dr. Lee answer all our questions and gave us so much confidence. He did wonderful! Bailey is back to herself in days. My eyes filled with tears of happiness after learning she did so well. THANK YOU FOR CARING SO MUCH AND FOR BEING SO CAREFUL! Ari had a growing mass on her belly. Dr. Kim took swift action. Scheduled a mammary gland surgery. Again, so much care. Ari had to stay overnight, but the nurses gave so much confidence in their care (TY Frankie)! SO GRATEFUL. Ari has healed so nicely and is back to herself.
They say, things happen in 3s and shortly after our two seniors had surgery, Jax hurt his back. With very limited appointments that same day, they squeezed him in for X-rays and consultation between surgery's. Dr. Kim to the rescue! Easily articulated X-ray results and prescribed medicine. Jax is still recovering but I'm confident their expertise will direct us pawrents to do the right thing for speedy recovery.
My husband and I are so incredibly grateful for their tender loving care to our fur babies! Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Shelby, Bethany and everyone at the front desk who shows so much care and doesn't bat an eye at my teary eyes before and after procedures, thank you! We live in Ontario, but will always make the 30 minute drive because TLC Animal Clinic is the best. Super hero's!

TLC is amazing! Dr. Lee, Dr. Kim, and their entire staff are superhero's without capes. I have two senior dogs and a young adult dog- small breeds. Both doctors were there for us when all three pups were hit with 3 different major needs at the same time. Both explained in detail and with so much care. Esp. Dr. Lee - he easily, confidently, and with so much care, articulated the possible issues, X-Rays, bloodwork, and solutions with pros and cons regarding our most high risk fur baby.
Phone calls, face to face, emails- he did it all. Honest, reasonably priced (given the industry) and they lead their clinic with tender, loving, care (it's not just in the name, but in their actions)! Thank you to both Doctors and all their staff. My family is so blessed they were able to treat our pups. All are recovering so well!

This place is AMAZING. I first came a few years ago when a different vet had written my pup off as beyond help due to his health conditions. That other vet was charging me thousands of dollars per treatment with a six month prognosis. I came to TLC after a friend recommended me, and after one visit and one treatment later, my pup's problem was completely fixed.
Since then, I've brought my pup in every time something happens. A few months ago, he was bitten by coyotes and shaken around. He had huge holes where the coyote had bit him, he couldn't walk, and his stomach was SO swollen! I immediately brought him in to see Dr. Kim and by the next day, my pup was almost as good as new. I can't even tell he's been bitten!
And he's already 10. Trust me, the pricing here is unbeatable too. In the beginning, I tried to get price quotes from other vets to see which place was the cheapest, but this place is the most affordable by FAR. And the best quality vets. I feel like they're genuinely just trying to help the animals, not even really trying to make money. 10/10 RECOMMEND!

Was recommended by a neighbor to come to TLC Animal Clinic and it was the best decision ever. Unfortunately, my small dog was attacked by a pitbull and Dr. Lee performed emergency surgery on her the same day. He was extremely thorough and addressed all of the concerns I had. I can tell they really cared about my dog and their prices are affordable.
Their office is clean and organized with happy cheerful staff. I highly recommend taking your fur babies here. They're the only ones I would recommend and trust them with my dog's life!

I drive all the way from LA to Chino Hills to have my 3 dogs seen by Dr. B. Lee. First of all, he really takes the time to explain everything and you never feel rushed. He has also been so great with following up and calling back within a reasonable amount of time. He has been great about consulting me with how to care for my 3 senior aged dogs. I've been to many vets for that past 20 years and by far this has been the best one I've found so far. Also, the staff is great! They are super professional and sweet. The facility is very clean, which I think is so important when visiting. Thank you TLC Animal Clinic!
