I've been a loyal customer for the past 10 years. But as of recently I've been treated with little to no respect and have be scammed multiple times here. I don't need to give the many horrific stories about this place bc the reviews speak for them self. Front desk isn't always friendly and in terms of refunds you have to wait until the one doctor they have can call you ( and she doesn't get back to you soon trust me). Not to mention the micro aggressions they show towards POC costumers. Absolutely done with this place. Don't fall for their scams.

They were wonderful when our dog was sick and need emergency care. They were caring about both my pet and our family dealing with what was happening.

Had to bring in my dog Daisy for last minute vaccinations before going out of town and staff was really helpful and proficient! Got me an appointment within 24 hrs and was in and out. Also called to follow up to see how she was doing afterwards. Great experience!

I am disappointed with the care our rabbit received from the Village Animal Hospital. We took our rabbit in for gastric stasis, on the first visit they intravenous provided fluids (pretty standard), and told us to come back because the Vet on duty was not experienced with exotic animals. So we had to bring her back, pay again for same treatment, they force fed the rabbit, and she seemed ok but still did not pass her food.

The technician told us to feed the rabbit one syringe of critical care twice a day and asked if the xray showed a blockage. I was thinking, I don't know, you all took the xray, shouldn't there be a copy in the file? They told us to bring the rabbit back again in the morning for the third time. The rabbit seemed fine as i brought her home in the evening, but the morning after bringing her home she died painfully. Unfortunately, the rabbit did not live to eat the next day, but they should have provided better advice for feeding.

How to force feed, amounts to feed, and intervals. Force feeding incorrectly or too much can back food up into the rabbit's lungs and cause additional problems. My experience leaves me wondering if we had gone to a more experienced or communicative Vet the rabbit might have lived. Have to agree with others, this is not a small/exotic animal vet and is expensive.

I highly encourage anyone seeking veterinary services to take their animals to Village Animal Hospital. My pet Chinchilla was in critical need of care and I was able to make a same day appointment when other veterinarians were booked weeks in advance. Despite being on such short notice, the quality of care and level of professionalism provided by Dr. Earnheart and her staff was absolutely phenomenal.

When it came to the actual appointment, the doctor was clearly experienced in the way she examined and handled my chinchilla and was also incredibly patient with being able to explain everything to me and providing multiple viable treatment options including their pros, cons, and expenses. The staff were very similar in the fact that they were welcoming both times I had an appointment and did a great job at ensuring everything went smoothly even though I had to wait in the car for one of the appointments.

When nothing else worked and I had to make the difficult decision to put my chinchilla down rather than let him suffer they were considerate and allowed me enough time to say my goodbyes and even sent me a completely unprompted handwritten letter from the staff expressing their condolences for my loss. All in all, this hospital has a very genuine love for animals they work with and went above and beyond any expectation I had for a timely veterinary service, I cannot recommend them enough.

Our sweet Guinnea Pig, Peachy was doing very poorly, and we were not able to see our regular veterinarian. After calling, literally everywhere in Los Angeles the were able to see us at Village Animal Hospital and I am glad we did. The staff were very kind and compassionate and the veterinarian Dr. Earnheart examined Peachy and let us know she had many masses in her abdomen and throat. Dr. Earnheart explained our options, and the team was very compassionate with us despite the fact we decided to give her end of life care. I would definitely return to the this clinic for care again.

I brought my dog to Dr. Earnheart at her practice in Diamond Bar in Sept.after a horrible previous night at East Valley ER Vet hospital (see my review for the whole story on that). Due to the urgent nature of the situation, she told me to bring my dog right in. My girl had been diagnosed with a ruptured spleen at East Valley ER and a recommendation for surgery that I did not trust.

After exam and lab tests, Dr. Earnheart diagnosed likely spleen rupture due to cancer, which had caused internal bleeding. Although at first it was her intention to do an abdominal ultrasound, she changed her mind later in rhe day and said she thought it was unecessary. The prognosis for my dog was grave. The Dr.encouraged me to euthanize my dog there and then.

I was in total shock and said absolutely not as she appeared to be rallying. Over the course of a few days, Suzy improved and I took her to see family members-dog and human- go for a walk on the beach, etc. We continued her routine at home. She loved it. I did speak to the Dr.a couple of times and brought Suzy in for follow up labs. I knew Suzy was on borrowed time and the ultrasound was on my mind so I decided to have it done just to get clarity. Dr. Johnson comes in 2x per week to do ultrasounds at this practice. Resilts were surprising.

It was not the spleenl but likely a cancerous liver tumor that causing internal bleeding. Nothing to do but it had been misdiagnosed by Dr. Earnheart. At that moment all of my girl's labs looked good so we ilived in the moment. Sadly on October 7th (exactly one month after her 1st collapse from internal bleeding), Suzy had another collapse and died at home in my arms. An agonizing loss for me on my own but quiet and peaceful and she was at home without any intervention in her passing.

She was not nervous or in pain. Devastated, I called Dr. Earnheart to let her know my baby had died but I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HER! I NEVER HEARD FROM DR.JOHNSON EITHER! I was very hurt by this as I regard it as part of a Dr's job to offer condolences. The staff at the practice were all wonderfully supportive of myself and my dog. Such empathy and compassion and kind words.

I thank them all. Dr Earnheart has owned this practice for many years but it became clear to me that she gets distracted, changes her mind, and can be less than definitive at times. She seems to have too much on her plate for one vet to handle and until she can find another doc to join her, she should probably consider cutting back some services and take fewer patients.

She is, I think, quite kind, but I will not forget her encouraging me to euthanize my dog that first day I met her when I was shocked and sobbing. My sweet girl had more precious time to enjoy her life and I knew it. It turned out to be one month but what a wonderful month it was! Perhaps the doc thought she was being kind to me to suggest euthanizing Suzy that day but she underestimated how strong Suzy and I both were. She was nine years old. Gone too soon.

Misgendered my cat twice & did not like vet's demeanor. Also had no clue about cat breed. Not a HUGE deal but I registered my kitty's license, name and everything just to find out it was the wrong gender. do you really want to bring your little fur babies to a place with not even the lowest of general knowledge? I mean would you go to a doctor or dentist with no answer to a basic question? I wouldn't.

We stupidly went to this place for many years but would never recommend it to others. We had our dogs nails trimmed and express anal glands for 60 which is outrageous to begin with but on top of that saw that they charge 50 for shampoo and the whole thing and never bothered to tell us. They successfully made me pay extra 10 Dollars but that was a mistake bc they permanently lost my business, especially after they called, recommending a 1000 dollar blood test

I would give zero stars if I could. The vet is not professional and in her demeanor, especially when I had a difficult time with my final decision to put my fur baby down. she wanted me to pay for unnecessary tests and they even tried to over charge me with the final bill adding on a urinary catheter fee when one wasn't used. This place is a scam and overpriced and the vet does not treat people with respect.

NOT A SMALL/EXOTIC ANIMAL VET! Super disappointed with this place and definitely got scammed. The vet, Dr. Earnheart, didn't know a thing she was talking about. Due to Covid, we were required to stay in the car and communicate by phone. She took in my guinea pig and called me to get more "information" about her. I told her I thought my guinea pig had bumblefoot and needed the scab to be removed and cleaned.

She kept asking questions about what I knew about bumblefoot and about her diet and living conditions. I didn't think much of it until I got the second phone call saying she was uncomfortable removing the wound, and that she felt it would cause infection, but to instead pay a hundred dollars for 2 oral and 1 topical medications. She said to check back in with her in 2 weeks.

I took my guinea pig home sad because if it was bumble foot from everything I have research it would have to be removed and cleaned to prevent further infection. But I figured the vet would know better. I didn't see a change so I decided to go to an actual expert. So today, I went to the LA Guinea pig rescue today, a place that actually specializes in guinea pigs, and they laughed when I told them about this.

They said it should be clear to any vet that my guinea pig does not have bumble foot, that it is just a callus on her foot. They explained the callus needs to be trimmed and if it was bumble foot she could have made my pet lose legs by waiting on it like she did. I should have followed my gut. Do not go here for your small pets / Exotics. She wants you to give her the answers and she is to scared to actually treat your pets. I want a refund and am looking into what I can do because this business needs to be shut down.

Dr Earnhart and Dr DeLaPaz Took excellent care of my Maltese after she was brutally attacked. The technicians were compassionate and provided for her needs as she recovered from surgery. Even the front office staff was helpful and patient in reviewing the charges with me.

This is the worst place to take an animal Dr. Earnhardt had the fucken nerve to charge someone who's animal was dying and then once told we wanted her cremated she has the nerve to dispose of our loving dog after we spent THOUSANDS of dollars to save her. now we are left with no ashes to. we will never tell anyone anything good about this place ever again I promise that. Shame on this Dr and her staff for not being more sincere to even question if we wanted to cremate our dog after we already stated we did. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. you want to ask what you can do Dr Earnhardt you can refund us let's see how sorry you really are

THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR PROMOTIONS IN THEIR WEBSITE. My corgi puppy already had 2 sets of vaccines when I brought her here, so she only needed two more rounds. However, they do not give vaccines without a checkup, which is fine, but considering how Lucy already had two sets, I wanted to find the most cost efficient way to get her the last two rounds.

Not because I can't afford it, but because who would want to pay more than what they need. I called various places trying to find the best place that can give her just the two sets, plus various other vaccines. On their website, they said that the first visit for new customers are free. I set an appointment and after they performed the checkup, they told me that they don't honor their promotions anymore.

They said it's because they haven't gotten around to changing the website and it's due to covid that they changed it, but they did change the website to include their new Covid-19 policies online. So I don't understand why they're misleading their customers like this. My appointment was for 11:00. I parked in front of the store and called in as per their policy and the lady left me on hold for 10 minutes as I watched her sweep the front of her store and dump out water, WHILE I WAS ON HOLD.

They finally answered my call back and told me they've checked me in, and had me continue to wait for another 20 minutes until they walked out to accept her. They didn't accept her until 11:30, and I was waiting outside in my car the whole time. All I can say, is the two stars are for the kind lady that took Lucy in. She was very sweet, however if you're trying to find a cost efficient way to vaccinate your puppy, GO TO OTHER HOSPITALS THAT HAVE PUPPY PACKAGES FOR $200-$250 and include everything. I will not be recommending this place to any of my friends who have puppies. I would not either for any of you either. PLEASE HONOR YOUR PROMOTIONS OR TAKE THEM DOWN.

Literally a live saver! I took my sick parakeet here, after calling about every animal hospital within a 40 mile radius. Village was one of the few that could accommodate birds with such short notice. Not only was the staff nice, Dr. Earnheart showed genuine care and concern for my little budgie. I was given bad advice from the location I got him and she told me everything I needed to change and immediately put him on antibiotics.

Within 2 days my little bird was back to himself and she called up to check on him and answer all of my remaining questions, including offering holistic advice for treatment that now has help him be better than ever. I'm so glad I found her, and she will continue to be our birds Vet for as long as she's in the area! Thank you Dr. E and the staff at Village!

My little cockatiel was injured and neglected during boarding at a facility. We noticed something was very off about her after we picked her up, so we made an appointment with the village hospital to have my baby seen. The staff made no delays, we booked an immediate appointment and the staff welcomed us with open arms. The day we arrived, the staff and Dr. Earnheart were extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Throughout the entire ordeal of making sure my cockatiel was doing okay, Dr. E, Stephanie (the office manager), and all the staff and nurses were very, very caring and often called me to follow up on my bird's condition. They were all very professional, patient, and kind, and prioritized my baby's recovery above all else. In addition, they gave us all the medical records and photos that we needed, without question or delay.

The doctor also made unbiased observations about her injury and explained in detail what potentially happened, as well as how to care for her injury while she's recovering at home. I'll spare the other nitty-gritty details, but will say, if you have a bird that is injured or unwell, come to Dr. Earnheart. Her expertise, knowledge, and care for hurt animals are unparalleled.

Thank you so much for saving my baby's wing. If it weren't for your care, she may not be able to fly again. But since she's recovering so nicely now, we're very, very hopeful. Thank you for cheering my baby on, too! We're SO elated!
