Services
One of our goals at Fountain Green Veterinary Center is to create a family-friendly atmosphere in which both you and your pet feel comfortable. We are a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, "drop-off" appointments are available.

Dr. Lerner is our neighbor and treated multiple neighborhood dogs and has even come to our homes when we had serious issues after hours. Him and his staff are awesome and Bella loves them too. I like that the business is small and you end up on a first name basis with everyone; you know them and they know you.

We just completed our initial dog training session at the Terrapin K9 Academy. We were very happy with all the recommendations and plan to get our 4-legged family members just a little more well behaved! We're excited for our next appointment to show all of our progress. Would recommend to anyone looking for some canine assistance.

We used this practice for several years. Recently we had to say goodbye to our pup. Dr. Lerner isn't just a great vet - he's a great person. He consulted with us while our old girl was in the ER without charging us a penny and showed us compassion that's rare these days. He made a difficult time immeasurably better. At our dog's best, he was an excellent vet. At her worst, he was also a fantastic resource and a friend through a very hard time. I wish I could give them more stars. Truly wonderful folks here.

We love Dr. DiStephan and Dr. Lerner! They are caring and knowledgable. Most importantly you can tell they care about your pet's wellbeing. In addition to being great with our normal wellness visits, they have helped us several times by working us in to their schedule last minute or speaking with us outside of office hours when we have had urgent concerns with our cats, and we have always been happy with our visits.
The techs and office staff are also kind and caring. They are right around the corner from us now, but we used to drive 30 minutes just to see them even though there were vets much closer.

Dr Lerner and Dr Distefano (sp?) are both wonderful with my dog. He is very skittish around new people and at the vet in particular do to bad experiences with other vets. The Doctors at Fountain Green really take the time to let him get comfortable and work with him to develop trust so that he is more comfortable with each visit. Examples of their patients and "bedside manner": -Just sitting and talking with him for 5 minutes before even trying to listen to his heart. -After all his tests and shots were done Dr Lerner sat and did some training with him to get him used to the scale for the next visit.
At many of the Vet clinics I have gone to in the past, the techs do all the work and the vet is in and out in 5 minutes. At Fountain Green the vet is in the room for ~15 minutes. It is nice to not be treated like you are in a revolving door. I highly recommend Fountain Green to anyone in looking for a vet.
