Boo Boo has BEEN to 4 VETERINARIANS in 7 years, GRAND MONTECITO is by far the BEST one I've ever taken her too. The staff and Vet's are amazingly friendly, caring, patient and knowledgeable. My 8.5 pound female blue nose Chihuahua needed major dental work due to incompetence at her previous vet, I also decided to have her fixed cuz we were moving from an apartment to a house on a large piece of land living with other dogs and I wanted her chipped just in case (because no more apartment living).
I knew this would cost a fortune because it meant 3 different visits, overnights etc. But MY CONCERN was BOO BOO NOT MONEY. During the consultation they surprised me, they could do everything during her dental surgery, I was worried about doing too much during one surgery however, they assured me BOO would be fine and that it was actually better for her because she would only be under anesthesia one time. BOO BOO CAME OUT OF the SURGERY with FLYING COLORS was HAPPY, HEALTHY RUNNING AROUND within a FEW DAYS.
Below are the Before & After pictures of BOO BOO, so the 1st picture is B4 they fixed her mouth, the 2nd picture is after the 3rd Is B4, the 4th picture is after, the 5th picture is just BOO happy and no longer in pain. UPDATED UPDATE: It's Monday, May 23, 2022 BOO BOO Has continued to do beautifully beautifully eating everything sheating everything she can. GRAND MONTECITO VET Has been taking care of her ever since. THANK YOU GRAND MONTECITO & STAFF.

Wait times are ridiculous! What is the point of having an appointment if they never, ever have seen me when scheduled? A simple vaccine is a least an hour visit. What is the point of having front office staff if they cannot convey information from the back office? Every time that I have been there, they always seem to have an 'emergency'. I hate to tell them, but they are an animal HOSPITAL where emergencies happen and you can actually schedule staff to handle it.
Phone numbers are for contacting patient owners, not just to remind of appointment, but to convey the status of your appointment, or reschedule. I will take my business elsewhere. They forget, it is I who pay them for a service. They do not pay me for my time.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness As a long time patient mom of a senior dog, we've been a patient for the past 12 years. This vet practice has gotten so busy & the wait times have become ridiculous. Very poor communication and nobodyreally knows what is going on. We will be taking our business elsewhere and hopefully somewhere that cares a bit more.

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine who takes her dogs here and I couldn't be more happier with this place! My dog was having back to back seizures for the first time and on multiple occasions and they were so helpful in dealing with it. They have a good response time and always available for my questions. They took such good care of my old dog and being with them made our experience a little more comforting.
I also used them for boarding and had no issues at all! I recently moved to the other side of town but will do the drive since I know they'll take care of my dog or any other animal I bring in.

The staff (starting with the front desk techs to all the doctors) are always courteous, respectful, and professional. They are quick to clean & sanitize the exam rooms and sweep the common area to prevent buildup from pet hair. I have been bringing my pets there for a long time and will continue to do so. Kudos to Dr Lewis for his leadership and patience in training students and young doctors in the veterinary environment.

We had to say goodbye to our 17 year old best friend yesterday. This vet is relatively new to me, they'd never seen my dog (but had done well with our cat previously). We were taking him in because he was weak and at the end of his life. We wanted a second opinion because we really couldn't bear to lose him. Dr Bailey was patient and so compassionate.
She didn't try to sway us any specific direction. She offered us kindness, personal stories of her own pets and difficult choices and helped us come to the decision on our own. She made sure he was sedated and comfortable in my arms and we were allowed to sit for as long as we wanted. We were not rushed. They took payment quietly and gently while having us decide how we would like his remains back, ahead of time so we were able to think only of him once they brought him to us.
We sat with him and spent some times saying goodbye and then Dr Bailey came in when we asked and she let me hold him while he transitioned, comfortably and peacefully. We noticed they had placed little hearts on his bandage. This was the hardest day of my life and they made it somehow bearable. I really appreciate everyone we interacted with from them doctor to the administrative staff. Thank you.

Brought our Bailey here for the first time to get her annual shots and the whole entire staff is amazing! Dr took time to meet with us and chat. They are busy, but was able to get a same day appointment. The wait time wasn't long at all and the staff moved along at a fast pace while still being able to interact with all the pets coming and going. We highly recommend GMAH for all your fur babies health care.

This place is awesome! Friendly receptionists, knowledgeable and caring vet staff and kennel staff. I’ve been to many animal hospitals and this one is at the top of the quality spectrum. They care for rescue animals that I volunteer to walk and transport. The dogs are always happy to go back there, and that’s not easy for a Veterinarian!

Dr. Stolzer has been absolutely amazing!!! Our family dog Bullet had been having some issues. She was very HONEST with us. We hoped it was something minor , unfortunately it was not and we had not caught it in time. It was a short month and a half, but with every vet visit, she gave us options. She never pushed to do some pricey expensive procedure.
This is the first vet I have gone to that did not just try to get money out of us. Approximately 3 weeks ago we had a emergency with Bullet. I called in and they had a tech waiting to bring Bullet in to a room, as soon as I got there. I also want to acknowledge one of the girls up front, Andrea. The last two times I came in I was a emotional mess. She was very patient, understanding, and caring with me. She was very loving and always greeted Bullet. Thank you again for all you did for him!!!!

I love this place they take care of our baby Bella we give them a 10 never have they done us wrong they make sure telling us like parents to take care of our dogs They don't see him as dogs. They see him as human beings. I take care of us. Showing us love new things. And absolutely I'm in love with them.
