They were one of the only places open when I got off my night shift and needed a vet. I actually tried Animal Emergency Center first - if you wanna know how that went find my review for them - needless to say I ended up here and the front desk ladies were very nice. The doctor could have seemed to care a bit more but he did his job. I'll stick with my regular vet for appointments but I am very thankful they were open and saw me within an hour of walking in.

Staff and doctors are great, however I stopped coming here because you can't make appointments for anything. It's 100% walk-in and oftentimes on the weekend wait times are several hours. I understand the convenience for some to have walk-in availability but allow 1 appointment an hour or something? Our dog loves Dr. McCollum, but when he moved to this hospital we had to find a new vet.

I have visited Tropicana animal hospital many times and my strong opinion is that this is the very best veterinary service I have ever experienced by far. I told them today that they get 4 1/2 stars only because I never give five stars, however I did have one small issue on my last visit for my Boxer who was diagnosed as likely gastroenteritis and prescribed antibiotics but I also paid for a relatively expensive blood test and was told I would receive a call with the results but I never did.

Not that big of a deal especially since the antibiotics worked but I kind of felt like I didn't really need to pay for the blood test and told them about it today when I visited. I wasn't making a big complaint and I didn't ask for any compensation but when I went to pay the Bill they did not charge me for the office visit which was for both of my 2 dogs.

So I decided to give the - very rare for me - five star review. I would not recommend or say this if I did not feel it with a 100% convection - this is a good veterinary hospital with a great staff excellent doctors and for me always relatively fast and generally more than satisfactory service at reasonable prices. My advice is if you live near enough to this hospital it is likely the best choice you could make in the entire Las Vegas Valley.

My additional advice is to take the negative reviews you may see here with a grain of salt - I have read most of them and I have never had any seriously bad experiences at this excellent animal hospital. Shout out to Dr. Lee this time for the patient focused attention and extra time that she put into my visit today. Big shout out to anyone involved at the office of making my office visit today complementary as well - it was not necessary but it made me feel very good. Better than I already did. I also rarely even leave reviews. Mostly I only leave reviews when I'm unhappy about my experience. *****

I've been going to this vet for about 10 years. In the last couple years they have been getting busier and busier. I'm not sure why they don't take appointments, but I feel like it would help them with how busy they are. Tried getting my dog's shots two days in a row and waited over 4 hours between both days. I had to leave on Tuesday, because their "estimated" wait time was way off and I had to go to work.

I called at 630 this morning to be put on the list and didn't leave the office until after 9. Just crazy. I don't want to look for another vet, due to the long time relationship I have here, but it's getting ridiculous trying to get my pet's needs taking care of in a timely manor. They also don't accept CareCredit, which comes in handy for when something unexpected happens. Vet prices are outrageous.

Dr. Lay was the tending doctor the morning we brought in our 2 1/2 year old dog "Asher." The diagnosis was Parvo. Dr. Lay suggested admitting her would be best to ensure the best chance of her recovery. We admitted her Sunday morning and throughout her stay Dr. Lay's willingness to take/return my phone calls to update us on Asher's status was a huge stress relief.

We picked Asher up this morning (Thursday) and she's back to her normal, energetic self again. A sincere thank you to Dr. Lay and the staff at Tropicana Animal Hospital for taking such great care of our girl.

You car will be taken care of better at an auto shop compared to how these people treat animals. They don't care that your pet is scared, all they want to do is make money. Endless tests just to raise the bill. Your pet is just an object. No vet there knows what they're doing because obvious issues they don't take care of but order more unnecessary tests just to frighten the animals. The bottom line is all they care about, not your pet. Avoid this place.

We went to see Dr. Uppinghouse after the two feral kittens we feed got sick. Unfortunately the female Knack passed, but the male Knick has gotten better and we thought he might lose his eye but it's almost all better!

Dr. Upping house is amazing! He always takes the time to make sure I fully understand what's going on with my dogs. Great experience no complains! Definitely recommend!

We had a great experience with Dr. Lee and she took care of our pupper very professionally. Unfortunately it does not seem that the front desk staff is ever on the same page as to what the Dr. discussed with us. I called to follow up and the staff member told me I should have only waited up to 14 days to take out her stitches. We were told by Dr. Lee 3 weeks and to follow up after about a week, but I wanted to verify because her antibiotics had been completed.

When I tried to explain what the doctor told me, the staff member said that they do not wait 3 weeks for stitches nor do they do follow up calls. The staff member told me to come in to get them taken out. We bring her in two days later for the doctor to turn us away because it had not been 3 weeks since the stitches were put in. I understand the hospital is busy, but I was rushed off the phone while explaining what I was told and also told that I had wrong information.

So far I've only taken my cat here twice for minor things. Today for example I took him in to get his nails trimmed up since I have a hard time doing it myself. They were pretty busy when I walked in, which was no issue since I didn't have anything else I needed to be doing at the time. I waited for about 10 minutes before being helped. Despite how busy they were, they were able to take my cat in really quick to trim him up which I was very thankful for.

It costs $11.50 for a nail trim which is a fair price in my opinion. However, upon further inspection after I got home I noticed some of his nails weren't trimmed. They have marks on them like clippers were touching his nails but they're still long and somewhat sharp. I'm guessing they were just doing it super fast and didn't get to them all since they had other animals to help that needed it more (understandable completely).

I just wish instead of being charged $11.50 for a nail trim I would have been asked to come back later/the next day so I could get my full moneys worth. Overall I would recommended them because the staff is very helpful and friendly.
