Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic

This was my first time at Cherrydale. I had seen many recommendations on Nextdoor so i had high expectations. I was not disappointed. ALL of the staff was super efficient and so friendly. Sometimes 1 or 2 may be not so friendly but EVERYONE was awesome. Dr. Christian answered all my questions and was super patient with me (i got an unexpected call during our visit that i had to take). I signed my dog up for a spay for my dog - that's how confident i feel! I just may transfer my other dogs to this clinic!

For more than twenty years, five cats and two dogs, the team at Cherrydale Vet Clinic has provided the most remarkable, empathic, rigorous, caring, and beyond the call of duty kind of care. Dr. Sunny House in particular has been a star--a brilliant vet who is also an exceptionally warm, kind and fierce advocate for pet and owner. But everyone there, from the front office to the team of techs to all the other great vets makes this a place, a family, you feel lucky to be a part of.

We have had dogs in our family for the past 60 years. We have lived in Florida, New York, California and now Virginia. That means we have had a slew of vets care for or four-legged friends. None, I repeat none, has come close to the quality care we have received from Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic.

My pets and I have been clients at Cherrydale for 20 years and they've always been excellent. Dr. House is my go-to vet (I've referred several friends to her and they love her as much as I do), but all the doctors on staff are great. I highly recommend Cherrydale and its awesome staff for you and your pets.

I've been bringing my cats to Cherrydale Vet since 1997 when I moved into NoVA. Not long after after that, I moved into DC (and have continued to move further and further east across the city) but continue to drive out to VA for annual visits and emergency care because they provide such excellent service. The doctors and vet techs are all great! I highly recommend Cherrydale Vet for your furry family members.

We have been taking our dogs to Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic for over 21 years and would not even consider going anywhere else. All of the veterinarians are compassionate and excellent in diagnostics and treatment. We have always been seen quickly with any emergency situation. We first went to Cherrydale after 2 other clinics in the area were unable to resolve our first dog's chronic illnesses. Dr. Boughanem thoroughly addressed her issues and cared for her for the rest of her long and happy life. Cherrydale took care of our second dog all of her life from 8 week puppy through 13 year senior.

We credit the Cherrydale Vets with her longevity and maintaining a quality life, especially Dr. Catbagan and her acupuncture treatments for back pain. Our present dog is nearly 3 years old and healthy. With Cherrydale I know she has and will always receive the best care.

I have a senior Labrador, almost 13 yrs! Dr Boughanem is very compassionate and is very patient with all my concerns. I always feel my senior is in the best care! She has been his patient since she was 9 weeks old Guess we are pretty satisfied clients!

Each doctor and tech goes out of their way to answer all of my silly questions. The truly care about each of their patients and never make us feel rushed. They are also so intelligent. We switched clinics to come to Cherrydale and it was the best decision.

I don't know where to start with this review because I have had 5+ interactions with this office over the last week, and each has been more pleasant, helpful and professional than the last. We first called based on a recommendation from a trusted friend because our dog Clementine was sick, not eating or pooping, and we were extremely nervous. The staff talked us through the likely reasons and our options on the phone, made us an appointment for as soon as possible and also allowed us to consider the option of an ER visit.

We ended up bringing our dog in for an ER visit and Dr. Van den Berg was one of the nicest and most thorough doctors we've ever interacted with. She genuinely cared for our dog like it was her own, and made sure the other doctors understood the situation while she couldn't be at the office. We have nothing but good things to say about this place, and we will continue to bring our dog here for a long, long time. Thanks again to Dr. Van den Berg and Dr. Christian, and Stephanie and everyone at the desk. Best vet in the area.

Our first appointment at this vet went wonderful! Their system is efficient and thorough. The vet took her time with us to explain any issues our pet was having. We are happy and excited to have our pets go here!

Great establishment, I have been taking my dogs here since 2007 and the staff has always be friendly and the veterinarians knowledgeable and compassionate.

Lovely staff that works with you if your pet has an issue that needs to be addressed. They are on the pricey side but definitely worth it for your fur baby!

Very good service, the vet takes the time to explain and talk about Jacks needs. Very happy with their work so far. Dr Van den Berg is the best Jack loves her.

For the last 11 years of his life, we took Rocco to Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic in Arlington and found them to be responsive, caring to Rocco and understanding of our needs as well. Anytime Rocco needed anything outside of the routine checkups and shots they walked us through ALL of the options, not just what they could provide. The vets and vet techs truly wanted the best care for Rocco and the best experience for us. Additionally, They were very thoughtful and kind throughout his end of life care and very considerate towards our needs and timing.

We've been going to this clinic for over three years. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. They are great with my terrified of all things medical dog. We've also used them for boarding and they've always taken great care of our dog. I highly recommend them.

We LOVE Dr. Van Der Berg! Our two doggos have seen a handful of vets and none were so thorough. The office has great hours and I can usually get in within a day or two if it's necessary. Would highly recommend.

Cherrydale has always been fantastic - especially Dr. Van Den Berg (who cared for Charlie when he was a puppy) and Dr. Hughes and Dr. Catbagan have given Charlie excellent care when he had an urgent care need most recently. I rarely leave reviews, but I am so appreciative for how well they communicated with me when Charlie was sick, I was home sick with the flu, and had grad school classes on Zoom. They liased effectively with my dog walker and really are always so top-notch.

Dr. Catbagan has been taking care of our cat Hank. I cannot say enough great things about her! Excellent care and follow-up. Dr. Christian took care of him most recently and she is a top notch doctor as well!. The techs have been compassionate and caring and the front desk gets messages to the doctors and techs. Jody has been very supportive and has Hank's back too!

Dr. Christian , formerly Dr. Zyga is the BEST vet I have ever had for any of my fur babies. There are multiple reviews that talk about the expensive costs of services here - well you GET what you pay for & how could you put a price on the care of your beloved fur baby? YES- they are on the pricer side so become a Loyalty member and it pays for itself. Dr.

Christian is so patient, kind, and super sweet to my little pup. She always gives him kisses & lots of affection before she even starts the exam , which makes him feel more calm. She is extremely knowledgeable about the latest medications & pain management for animals. She also reviews how to keep your pet healthy and live longer. Dr. Christian always reviews the cost of every option on the items that are needed for your pet & is happy to provide an estimate.

It's also your responsibility as a pet owner to ask for estimates for additional services, like a dental cleaning. I've been taking my lil pup here for over 6 years and have always had a wonderful experience with the staff, getting test results quickly, and emails checking up on my pup after an appointment. The veterinarians here are very passionate about animals & if you want the BEST care for your babies, bring them here!

As a First time PetOwner, this was by far the best experience I could've imagined at a VetClinic. I found the Cherrydale Vet Clinic Just by chance, but thanks to Jesus (BestEver front desk staff member) we are now their ForeverLoyalPatients. Jesus went above & beyond when I called looking for an specific food brand/type that's apparently. 'Prescription only' in DC & VA; he took the time to answer all my questions & guided me tru the "hunt" after having tried at least 6 other surrounding VetClinics in the area & being rudely hung up on by them all.

My Kilian (TeaCupPoodle from FouFouPuppies) immediately loved DrHouse, like Right Away (and He is by all means a finicky boy with humans) as did I, since she was extremely patient with all my particular requests, fears & questions. She's super experienced with little breeds like him & such a passionate AnimalDoctor, You will notice right away. We are so lucky to have found her there. I will continue to recommend this clinic to All my clients & friends. Trust me, I doubt you will find better VetDr humans than at this place.

The staff was great and so was the doctor! I had to come in on very short notice to get a health certificate so I could bring my new puppy home! Highly recommended

I also brought in my other cat Ruby just for a checkup. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionist who helped. get the door for me.

I filled out a short bit of paperwork and had their records sent over without an issue. Dr. C of the clinic had reviewed their health records and had a good understanding of their background before even seeing us. We were seen promptly with less than 5 minutes of waiting. After the exams, Dr. C advised of some remedies to.

I went home and she had another wheezing attack that night. Dr. C had told me to record a video of the wheezing in action, so I did, and I forwarded it to the clinic. The clinic followed up with me in the morning and advised me to bring her in for a steroid shot. We went back in and she was given the shot. I was asked if I wanted to have X-rays done to further investigate. Thorough explanations were made throughout the process of what to look for and expect so that I could make an informed decision regarding my pet's health.

I opted for the X-rays but there was no pressure to have them done. The doctor respected my choices and helped me understand the underlying issues. I am happy to report that Contessa is doing much better with the prescribed treatment. I am SO pleased to have found this vet clinic for my pets. We have been to quite a few veterinarians over the years with moving around, but I have never been more impressed than I was with this clinic. Highly recommend!

Everyone here is great. They have helped us through tough treatments and decisions, as well as regular maintenance and care. We can always get appointments when we need them. We really appreciate all they have done for us and our pets.

I had just come back from vacation when my cat became very ill and I had to find somewhere to see him asap. Most places are closed early if even open on the weekends so I was very happy to see they were open till 8pm! The staff was very very nice and was very pleasant with my cat and I. It was definitely pricey and a bit more steep then I'd like but as a last minute option I am very thankful for this clinic for seeing me at a moment's notice.

This place is absolutely amazing. The entire staff is wonderful with animals and truly love their job. The vets are very knowledgeable and have never tried to upsale me, or asked to run a million tests. They take their time with explanations and always make sure you understand/are comfortable with the treatment plan. I've met all the vets in my several years here and and they are all great.
Luckily, I've only needed to take my cat there twice (outside of routine check-ups).

Both times the vet accurately diagnosed her in office, which can be very hard with cats. With physicals they've personally called with test results and emailed me after visits to make sure things were ok. The prices are a bit higher than I've paid in the past, but not crazy (my bill from the last visit was $120, which was a problem visit with imaging or labs - not a check-up).

I promise, the money is worth it. I would not take my fur baby anywhere else, even if I moved out of the immediate area. I've had my cat for 12 years, and these vets are the best she's ever been to.

I absolutely LOVE Cherrydale Veterinary Clinic. From the minute I walk in the door, the employees at the front desk greet me with a smile and make me feel welcome. Dr. Van den Berg is the vet my dog and I normally see and she is absolutely fantastic! She is friendly, knowledgeable and truly cares for you pet. The vet tech's are also awesome and beyond helpful when my dog needs to get a shot or needs an injury looked at.

Whenever I have a question, I am always able to call and ask for advice. The receptionists will go above and beyond to help and transfer you to an available doctor. For example, I just got off the phone with Daniel. I had a question about the new food I am starting for my dog. Although there was not an available veterinarian I could speak with, he took the time to get all of my information, questions and concerns and within 30 min, I received a call back with everything I needed!

So helpful! And although we normally see Dr. Van den Berg, I have also booked appointments with the other veterinarians and they are all amazing as well. I recommend anyone that is looking for a vet to go here, you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Sunny House Timke is AMAZING! I truly love how smart she is and how fearless she is around my dog. I have a very scared and therefore aggressive pitbull. Dr. Timke took him as a patient and simply told me to muzzle him. I was so worried no one would take him as a patient, but she did. The rates are sky high and more expensive than 90% of the other places, but Dr. Timke gets my dog and treats him right even though he growls the ENTIRE dog check up. I'll take high rates for someone who isn't scare of my dog AND treats him right.

I've been taking my dog to Cherrydale for about 2 years, since I adopted her. She's been for both her regular appointments and a few non-routine appointments. I'm not going to lie and say she loves going to the vet, but the entire staff makes it as least traumatic as they can. Little things, like not making her get up on table, and instead sitting with her on the floor to examine her (she's a medium sized dog).

In general, just their attitude and approach towards the dogs is very kind and compassionate. They don't just talk to me, they talk to her, reassure her, etc. For the non-routine visits, neither was an emergency, but definitely needed to get in quickly to make sure it wasn't serious. The receptionist was great both times and got me an appointment on the same day.

For the first time, she specifically found a slot where someone had cancelled so I wouldn't be charged and "emergency" fee. For the second time, I was just charged the normal fees. Maybe "emergency" is more if you just come in and need to see someone without an appointment, but I know lots of places will charge you for a same day/next day non-routine request, and I have never been charged here.
