ABC Veterinary Hospital - North Park

ABC veterinary hospital has been so wonderful to both our dogs. High standard of care, reasonable prices, attentive and informative. I would send anyone here who is looking for pet care.

The Doctors and Staff took excellent care of Max during the last 5 years of his life and always welcomed him with a smile and a hug. They were knowledgeable and suggested vitamins and medications that helped to improve the quality of his life. They were honest and fair when it came to treatment options which is not always the case, and their sympathy and understanding helped us make difficult decisions for our precious pup. We had an excellent experience and would highly recommend them for your pets.

Everyone here is always so sweet to my pup! He is kinda a scaredy-cat when it comes to the vet, but they are always so sweet to him!

I was a loyal client for over a decade, but they did not allow me to be with my new GSD pup for exams and shots. Very disappointing. My pup has anxiety and not allowing me in with him may affect his future treatments and experiences at any clinic. Dr. Kosmo was the best, but it appears she is gone and there is a new owner with money on his mind. I don't think I'll be returning to ABC as there is quality care that involves the owners and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Kinda what ABC used to be. But good luck to everyone at the clinic, there are some nice people there.

I bring my two chihuahuas here for all of their medical needs. Recently had surgery done for our younger baby and the entire staff was helpful and professional throughout. Surgery can be scary but the staff at ABC made sure that all of our questions were answered and followed up each step of the way. Still visit ABC for their needs after moving to North Country. Amazing service and staff!

ABC VET HOSPITAL's Pacific Beach service is the very best. I've been taking my 2 cats there for 22 years and always very pleased with their great care. I highly recommend them. The staff are so tuned in to our pets needs and ours also. GREAT all around.

My pet has always been shown genuine love and care, as well as knowledgeable advice from all the staff here. It made me happy to see how happy Charla was whenever Coco came in!

We took our kitten here when she was just 6 weeks old and have been taking her here ever since. The care is always exceptional and they go over the price of care and what treatments are optional every time before moving forward. Pricing is VERY reasonable compared to all of my friends vets when it comes to shots, dewormer, and surgeries. When our cat had to get fixed they did preliminary tests, watched her for 8 hours post-surgery, and called us to see how she was doing the next day. Our cat was in no pain at all and had no scaring. Excellent care, excellent provider. I would recommend them to anyone I know!

The Pacific Beach location is absolutely incredible! My dog, George, does not like new people and is a bit reactive to those who try and touch him that he doesn't know and ABC Vet has worked so well with me and George to make sure he still receives the care he needs. I had gone to another vet before them, and that vet had completely dismissed me and George and spoke down to me for him being reactive instead of trying to come up with a solution.

Even on the first visit to ABC Vet I knew it was going to be an amazing experience. Each person I have interacted with are of course cautious with George but have never spoken badly to me and instead work with me to come up with better ways to make George comfortable. I can't say enough how much I love going to them! Could not recommend them enough!

I am very Thankful for ABC VET. I took Dante here after we had to go to Pet Urgent Care for a continuous problem he has. They retested-him & come to find out his blood work was normal. They gave Dante antibiotics & pain meds He was back to his ole self in no time I appreciate you squeezing us into your busy schedule. Now it's time for another. Dante needs to be neutered. Me and my fur baby, Milo, just moved here from TX and have had a great experience with all staff at ABC in PB. This is definitely our new vet for our new home.

They took good care of my cat KissKiss and were very compassionate and patient when she passed in their exam room. Thank you for making us feel like family and being there for us.

We like all of the above. My wife and I have used ABC since our first critter child over 45 years ago when we moved to PB. Even though staff have changed over the years the quality of care has been the highest. Great place to trust your special little friends.

Great people who've also been there for me and my pups! During good times and most importantly very compassionate when time to day goodbye. Which they've helped me get through twice.

I highly recommend ABC veterinary services for anything that needs to be done to your precious furrbaby(s). I've tried others closer to my home in Clairemont for convenience and always regret it. Every time I used ABC my pet was taken care of with love and I am treated with respect and understanding. It's worth it to me to drive the extra mile and will never consider another Veterinary for my baby.

Dr. Zaranek is absolutely horrible & more concerned with getting home that providing proper care & treatment. Refusing to return after almost a decade of using this clinic.

These are the most friendly and caring vet staff & doctors I've have ever had. Even though I have moved 20 miles away, ABC PB is worth the patronage.

These folks here at ABC are excellent. I had taken my 10lb Cairn Terrier Dexter here for the first 5 years after I adopted him until I moved up to Long Beach. My dog not only was never afraid/ timid to go for a visit, he actually was pretty excited to go every time. I sincerely appreciate their entire warm, canine-friendly staff with a special note of appreciation for Charla & Emily who were as pleasant as they were professional.

The veterinarians here were always knowledgeable, considerate, & went above & beyond to make my fuzzball feel right at home. I didn't realize how fortunate I was to have ABC as my vet until I moved to Long Beach & now my dog no longer enjoys his vet visits. ABC Veterinary Hospital gets 5 stars from me.

ABC Veterinary almost killed my beautiful dog Raisin. My dog started loosing weight rapidly, went from 70lbs to 50lbs. I took my dog to ABC 4 times all together within those 4 months. They wanted me to start with a Fecal and a blood test worth 300$. Both tests came negative, (at least that's what they told me), while my dog was loosing weight in front of my eyes.

After that I paid for another $200 for another kind of blood test that came negative as well. At this point I had spend $500 with no results and my dog was dying in front of my eyes. My last visit they told me to buy some special food, so I did. My dogs diarrhea got worst and his weight dropped MORE, so skinny that he could hardly move, would stay curled up in bed all day.

Last call I made to ABC, they wanted to charge me $400 for an Ultra Sound Testing. I was on my way to get this $400 test done when my friend called and recommended another vet. This other vet told me he thinks it's my dogs pancreas and he needs to do a blood test again. I took my dog Raisin to this new vet and did another blood test. The Doctor called me back next day and prescribed my dog Raisin antibiotics and Pancri-plus.

Ever since then my dog has GAINED back to 65lbs from 50lbs and he is on his way to recovery. If I did not switch my vet, I'm almost positive that my dog would be dead and I would've spend almost $1000 dollars with no results. I tried to contact the owner and the management of ABC Veterinarian and they hung up on me every single time. If you want your pet to be well and live, DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO ABC.
