Our board certified dermatologists focus on your pet's allergy, skin, nail and ear problems. We do not require a direct referral from your family veterinarian to schedule an initial consultation.Clients can call the Dallas or Grapevine office directly to set up their first appointment. Our front desk staff will call the referring veterinarian for medical records, once it is closer to the scheduled appointment time.

The board certified dermatologists at the Animal Dermatology Referral Clinic focus on your pet's skin and ear problems. Our mission is to provide primary care veterinarians, their clients and pets with specialty level diagnosis, treatment, and management of allergy, immune mediated, hormonal, parasitic, infectious, cancerous, and cosmetic disorders of the skin and ears.
A veterinary dermatologist is trained to recognize the differences and pursue the most direct and cost-effective diagnostic work-up and treatment. It is estimated that up to 75% of patients presented to companion animal clinics have skin disease as a primary or concurrent complaint. Many of these diseases look very much alike, with only subtle variations in clinical presentation, but great differences in treatment and prognosis.
Atopy is the genetically determined predisposition to become allergic to airborne pollens (weeds, trees, and grasses), molds, dander, and house dust. In human beings, it causes hay fever and asthma. In dogs and cats, atopic dermatitis is the most common cause of itching (licking, chewing, biting, rubbing, scratching), as well as chronic skin and ear infections.

ADRC has saved my fur baby's life! They recommend the right medication, they look through the history of my dog's record to make sure they are giving the right treatments. Tammi is so sweet and Dr. Garfield is just as amazing. Expensive, but totally worth it. Long hold time over the phone, but also, totally worth it. Reception is just as nice and caring and the tech's and Drs go above and beyond to give the right treatment.
My dog has HORRIBLE allergies. He was losing all hair and energy to get up and play or just lay around and be a Shiba. The medication we get makes him have a normal loving pup life. Always recommend!

Dr. Garfield and the staff are the sweetest! Dr. Garfield was able to figure out our VERY itchy cat's issues and was able to quickly resolve it. Our cat was creating some real bad lesions on his scalp as well as other locations on his body. He is now thankfully completely healed and on medication. It's been 2 years since we started going to this office and I am so grateful for their hard work.

Dr. Crow has saved my dogs life! Max was overweight, had constant ear infections, always itchy and overall miserable. We had spent more than a year and numerous expensive medications battling his ear infections at his regular vet. Finally, Max got to see Dr. Crow and within 1 month his ears were cleared up! We love Dr. Crow and his staff!

One of the best places ever! They so great with my kid (dog). They treat my little man like he's one of their own. I can't say enough about excellent they are. And, as an added bonus, the staff even knew who my son was named after! That almost never happens! Thank you y'all for all ya'lls hard work and treating my little boy.

Our poor pug had been sick for a year and a half. He had such bad allergies and was going bald. He'd sleep all day and scratch all night. Finally our vet referred us to Dr. GARFIELD. The transformation was incredible. He gave us new food (prescription Hills venison and potato) because our Oliver was allergic to every kind of food.plus new medicine. In 2 days we saw results that we hadn't seen in the year of dealing with our vet. I am so grateful for this place. We have our dog back happy and healthy

Dr Ho is an amazing specialist who is caring and passionate about her clients and their fur baby needs! My dog went in with several allergy and skin issues and I’ll say this she caught on to things our family vet never noticed or mentioned! I couldn’t be any happier with our visit today as we are on a road to recovery! Thanks Dr. Ho and staff you guys are amazing

My cat had been incredibly itchy to the point of scratching large sores into her skin and vets in two different cities hadn't been able to figure out a long term solution. Dr. Karen Ho has taken the time to work with me in order to rule things out and find a medication regimen that works for my cat. I feel strongly that she truly cares if my cat is happy and healthy.
The rest of the staff has been great too. They are all friendly and competent in my experience. Rooms are large and pet-friendly, and they've always gotten me into a room very quickly so my cat was less stressed by other animals. If I had to make a negative comment, I would point out that since this is a specialty vet office it's certainly not cheap, but I feel the care my cat has been given is well worth the value.

Thanks to the Dallas location for taking some canned vegetarian food upstairs to Bo while he was at the surgical center. He wouldn’t eat his regular food while there and with all of his allergies it’s hard to find approved foods to entice him. Needless to say, this was approved by Bo. We appreciated that level of service and going above and beyond. One more reason we love y’all and Dr. Crow.
