The importance of the annual exam is stressed at Riverbrook Animal Hospital because pets can not tell you how they really feel. A yearly exam for your pet is like a physical every seven years for you, so a lot can transpire in the life of an animal over the course of a year. Listening to your pet's heart for any murmurs or abnormal rhythms is important for early detection of cardiac disease.
At Riverbrook Animal Hospital we are here to help your pet reach its fullest potential and we are so excited to walk with you through every step. Our first puppy or kitten visit will consist of a thorough physical exam to make sure there are no health issues to address in the very beginning. We assess your pet's conformation, behavior and personality.
Riverbrook Animal Hospital uses state-of-the-art radiographic equipment which allows us to quickly read radiographs in-house. We are also able to send radiographs via the internet and e-mail to radiology specialists for second opinions. We frequently utilize radiographs to evaluate bones for fractures, arthritis, spinal conditions as well as to evaluate your pet's heart, lungs, abdomen, urinary bladder and other important areas of the body. We also have dental radiographs which are used to evaluate the roots of teeth below the gumline.

When I say my dog gets SO excited when we pull up for a visit, I am not joking. She absolutely LOVES this place and all of the staff, which makes vet visits a breeze for her! My dog is incredibly hyper and obnoxiously loving sometimes, but they are so patient and kind to her. I always know Luzi is getting the best care when taking her in for a visit.

Very impressed with customer service and care they showed toward me and my baby today. First visit after my normal vet couldn't see us for 2 weeks. They were accommodating, felt like the doctor truly cared to listen and understand my thoughts but also giving a great opinion, and squeezed us in with very short notice. I am truly thankful I found them on Google and trusted my gut! We will be returning patients:

We had to take our senior kitty in for a couple of things, and ultimately dental surgery, right before and during the pandemic. It was way less stressful due to the wonderful staff at Riverbrook! They provided great care for our cat and I know I can trust Dr. Davied. She was very thorough with any questions/concerns I had about my pet. Thank You!

Omg, the entire staff is so very attentive and incredibly sweet! My last vet made me very uncomfortable with how quiet and rude they were, but my experience today was top notch and they were maki g sure they did everything f they could for my baby, an 11 year old chi named Gonzo. I was impressed and felt comfortable with him in their hands. I even heard them in the back when they were doing tests, says, "Good boy, Gonzo!" Which just shows how much they love what they do. Thank you to the entire staff for being so lovely!

We have spent a lot of time here and they are so lovely and always available. The vets care so much and always make everything so personally. It's great being able to call and always knowing they'll find you answers. The whole staff is very dedicated and I've never worried if my dogs are in good hands. We've had some pretty extensive visits for serious stuff and they're reasonably priced for the level of care they provide.

We have been going to Riverbrook for years now, and I can't imagine any better place for our cats! Everyone remembers them, greets them, and gives them all the love so vet visits aren't scary. They took amazing care of our one cat who ate rubber bands and required surgery - he was pampered and I got updates daily from the doctor. So grateful for the staff and their passion for animals.

Dr. Layton and staff are incredible. I went on Monday and learned my cat's teeth and gums were in horrible shape. She is a total introvert with anxiety who doesn't like to be handled so I could never manage to look in her mouth, but I could tell something was up. She responded so well to Dr. Layton! Two days later she was in surgery and had 11. teeth removed.
The whole team took fantastic care of her, they fully explained the charges and procedures to me in advance, and communicated with me several times while my kitty was there. They even kept her an extra 24 hours so they could observe her recovery. AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. I am beyond impressed with this clinic. Thankfully they are young, so they will be available to care for all my furry pets the rest of my life!
