Mission Viejo Veterinary Hospital

Took my almost 3 year old dog in for a routine visit and a vaccination. Waiting in my car was not too terrible, but not ideal. After maybe 10-15 min in the car, they let us come in. They brought us back to the room and I waited another 10 min or so before the Vet made his way in, he didn't introduce himself or anything, and wanted me to lift my 45lb dog onto the high table.

When I explained I couldn't do that due to a recent surgery, he went to go get help from the vet tech. He seemed nervous and scared around my dog from the get-go which was very odd for a vet. After the vet tech took control of the leash, the dog started getting nervous and then he made me put a muzzle on her which just escalated the anxiety. Even with the muzzle on, the vet was too scared to do anything with my dog.

I have never seen my dog so scared and nervous. I have 3 small children and my dog has never been vicious towards anyone! It was so weird to see a vet so scared of a medium sized dog before. I was so weirded out the whole time, I will not return there again. I was there for 45 min and left with no one even getting near to my dog.

Good clinic. They were great with my dog., as a new patient. She was there for an annual check up. The staff is really friendly and good with her. The doctor was great and helpful. I highly recommend.

Have been going here, seeing the same vet for 9+ pets throughout the past 20 years. Reasonably priced. Great staff. Always friendly. Love this place.

Reasonably priced but also just SO friendly. Been to a lot of vets, but doctor Ralston was by far the best. Super down to earth and easy to talk to, doesn't try and sap money from you, just recommends what he truly believes is best for your animal. Absolutely will come back here for all further health concerns with any of my pets!

I'm new to the area and need a vet for our three dogs. I found these folks as they are close to my house. I found their service great - you can tell they really love the animals they treat. I'm looking forward to having a regular vet for our three fur babies. Thank you!

Everyone was so sweet and helpful during our visit. Waiting in the car was so easy as they were very communicative. The vet (can not remember his name) was super personable and empathetic. I was very pleased with my experience and feel comfortable coming to mission viejo when my baby is in need.

This used to be a great vet clinic. But now the staff is not knowledgeable and are not helpful at all. I called to get a refill for meds that my dog desperately needs and the staff said no refills until we bring him in for a physical, which of course they didn't have anything available until at least a week out. If you care about your animals, please take them somewhere else, they don't care if your pet lives or dies.

Never had any issues about this clinic until I had to meet Deann (manager). What a rude and inconsiderate individual. Came in for my dogs appt at 10am - tech takes my dog right away and then brings him out to go potty. I take him for a brief walk and then when I return - I'm immediately told to wait outside and when she came out to get my puppy she said it was the techs fault for even getting my dog in the first place and tells me to wait in my car and then not even 45 seconds later a tech comes to get my dog from me. She is extremely RUDE and now I've cancelled all future appointments from this clinic. Thanks Deann

Been going to MVV for over a decade. Dr. Ralston takes GREAT care of my very needy animals (and my very needy self!). I have also seen the other providers here and there and have always been impressed with their thorough review of my animals' lengthy health history prior to our appointments - they come in the room aware and educated. Since I moved I contemplated transferring my pet's healthcare, but I feel so comfortable there, it's worth the drive! A+ all around for MVV!

Amazing place for our fur babies! From the initial phone call to all 3 visits I have had a great experience, their customer service is beyond 5 star rating, finally found a place where the staff is always happy and excited to attend to anyone that comes in that door, even their curve side service is amazing! From following up with you while you wait, educate you a bit of what's going on with your fur baby to bringing them back feeling much better can't put a price to that! Thank you all you guys are amazing!

I took my cat here about 3 years ago, and I got a proper diagnosis of a URI. The vet was very professional and didn't sugar coat anything, got the meds on our way. Last year, we got a puppy and decided to stick with this vet. They have always been very professional and have never once pushed us or made us spend money, even though I fully believe they know I'm a new neurotic dog mom, worried about everything and anything that my pup gets. They have helped us in every way possible and have always given me reassurance and never made me feel like a failure as a dog parent; my dog has had giardia, conjunctivitis, and just recently, a very bad case of diarrhea. Instead of making me feel terrible, prescribing me a million drugs, and taking my money, the vet came and spoke with me and we figured it out together. It was as simple as switching his food, and she even gave me recommendations. Any other vet could have shoved problem after problem, pill after pill at us, but they did not, and I'm so thankful. It took about a month to get this figured out and I'm happy they worked with me! My pup loves the vet, and he doesn't like people! I have never had a problem with calling, making appointments, or the front office staff. They are kind and caring people. Even the curbside, which they now have to do, is very professional. Will keep bringing all my pets here
