Visiting for Thanksgiving and came in for an infection on a suture area. Super kind folks that took great care of our pup! Thank you for being open on the Holidays, we very much appreciate you!!

I called VETSS this morning after my French Bulldog Artemis started showing signs of severe nerve pain & muscle tension which was causing her breathing issues. VETSS got us in within 20 minutes of arriving to their location. Even though Artemis was showing limited symptoms by the time we arrived, Dr Boyd was able to quickly diagnose the issue and make X-ray & medication recommendations and we were on our way in less than 2 hours. We’ve spent many hours and a few thousand dollars (we do have pet insurance which helps!) at ER vets over the last 4.5 years between our 2 other Frenchies & this was by far one of the best & least expensive experiences I’ve had (under the circumstances of having to go to an ER that is) to date. Oh! They also offer military discount (and other discounts to those who work in our community so make sure you ask if they offer a discount based on your employer). I highly recommend VETSS.

I had to take my 3 month old puppy in last week due to him retching consistently, extremely soft stool, lethargic and shivering. I was so concerned and scared because I didn’t know why he was suddenly severely sick. Molly was so comforting on the phone and helped me in various ways. From her soothing tone to being my nighttime navigator. Dr. McKenna was extremely patient and took his time to explain everything to me. He outlined the cost of items, what my options were, and what to look for if he should get worse. The nurses were exceptional as well. They listened to all my concerns and conveyed my fears to the doctor. I could not have asked for better care during my puppy’s time of need. Some may seem him as a pet but he’s an integral member of my family and everyone here treated him that way! I’m truly thankful to each & every one of them for helping JoJo get better!

My poor dog broke her canine tooth, and actually a few others due to a bone.
Vetss took her right in and did everything to make her better! The staff is absolutely amazing, the Dr. is amazing! You can’t go wrong with this place!
My sweet dog had some intense dental surgery, the team worked long and hard to do everything possible to make sure she was going to be ok, and heal the right way! We would not know what to do if we didn’t have these amazing people in Charlottesville! They stay open 24/7 and are fully committed to helping you!!
Mind you it’s during a tough time, I had three young children, and they helped me
Came to my car took her in, and did everything to make it as easy as possible!

The staff here is incredible and were so kind to us during one of our hardest days. They made saying goodbye to our sweet Moose as pleasant as possible. We shared our last moments together outside on a blanket under the most beautiful sunset with a cupcake. Thank you all so so much for everything!!
