PVMA's charitable arm helps caring people help animals by bridging the gap through their animal welfare initiatives that FEED, CARE, and EDUCATE. Animal Care PA serves as the charitable arm of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association but functions as an independent Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.

Individuals who have successfully graduated from an approved school or college of veterinary medicine or in lieu thereof certification acceptable to the State Board of Veterinary Medicine, and has passed a license examination required by the State Board of Veterinary Medicine.
