Diagnostic procedures are used by our Doctors to determine the health and prognosis for the patients who visit us. Our staff understands that performing theses tests can be stressful on the patient and the owner, so every effort is made to make the experience as pleasant and pain free as possible. As part of every New Patient Consultation, our staff gathers baseline measurements on key metrics about your pet's eye health.
To begin your pet's eye exam, a one of our highly trained technicians will obtain a comprehensive medical history and assess your pet's visual reflexes. The staff member will also perform our Standard Diagnostic testing included in each New Patient Consultation. Communication between our office and your primary veterinarian is very important.
Advanced diagnostics are used when more information is needed to determine diagnosis and prognosis of disease processes. Imaging allows our doctors to see into areas where we otherwise would not be able. Our office has the ability to perform ophthalmic ultrasounds, retinal imaging and in house digital radiography.
Veterinary Vision of Rochester maintains a state of the art surgical suite to provide your pet with the best possible surgical outcome. Our surgical microscope allows our surgeons to operate with precise detail. From our heated surgical table to our mechanical ventilator, every angle of your pet's anesthetic needs have been considered.
To assist our primary veterinary colleagues, the Doctors of Veterinary Vision are happy to offer case consultations as available. To facilitate a speedy response, please complete all information below. A doctor will review your case and will respond via e-mail within 72 hours. Please note our office is open Monday-Thursday.

The BEST eye specialist there is. Our rescue kitty came to us with only one eye and that eye was in pretty rough shape. After having her for about 2 weeks her cornea ruptured in her only eye. The ER vet and another eye specialist helped us get her seeing again. About a year later, even after some continual meds, her eye started to get cloudy and she lost vision again.
We took her to VetVision and wow.they didn't even look at her previous records but it was like they had been with our kitty since see was born as they foreshadowed everything we knew about her, told us why the current medication wasn't the best fit or working. They gave us a new plan, some trusted meds and some experimental as well. Our kitty gained her eye site back again and has been great ever since.
As long as this doctor is practicing I will not take our kitty or trust anyone else when it comes to her eye. THANK YOU! Your work and knowledge means the absolute world to our family and what you were able to do for our special kitty!

They are a life-saver. Another vet told us our dog was blind and we just had to live with it. Two years later (after a referral) Dr. Corcoran restored our dog's sight. She was attentive throughout the process and kept us fully informed about our dog's progress. If only we had known about her earlier.

Our French bulldog, Winston, had surgery at Vet Vision for his cherry eye in March 2022. Vet Vision is a busy practice for good reason! Dr. Corcoran and the Vet Vision team are caring professionals who do everything possible to make your pet comfortable. Post op was a slog. He was six months old at the time of the surgery and managed to find all kinds of creative ways to rub his eyes.
We were worried that he had undone Dr. Corcoran's work, but once we got past the two weeks in a cone everything started looking great. The cherry eye is gone. I am so glad we chose Vet Vision. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any pet owner. Thanks to Dr. Corcoran and her amazing team.

Dr. Corcoran and staff took very good care of our mixed breed poodle. They always made sure our dog was comfortable and did everything they could to save her vision. They were very upfront about the costs of the various treatment options and explained everything thoroughly. I thought the fees were reasonable compared to other specialists and appreciate that they included all the follow-up visits.

I have been trying to reach the Vet Vision office for over a month now via email as well as phone and nobody has contacted me. Every time I call the office it goes to a voicemail service asking me to leave a message but I am unable to leave a message because it then routes me to a receptionist line which always results in the same message (due to high volume of calls they are unable to be reached but leave a message and they will return the call).
When you are dealing with a concern re: health of your pet, I would expect better customer service (e.g. receptionist should pick up the phone once in a while or at least respond to emails). Pretty unfortunate bc we have brought both our dogs to this practice over the past two years and the doctor is fantastic but definitely lacking in general reception / business operations.

Great vet and staff! Recommend 100%. I noticed abnormality with my dogs eyes and was extremely worried. I rescued her so I didn't have any previous history (medical or familial). Dr. Corcoran was able to accurately diagnose and pinpoint my concerns to a specific congenital problem. She sent me home with medications and provided proper education and information on my dogs diagnosis.
Her staff is kind and enthusiastic, especially during a time when appointments are still curbside and extremely busy! Dr. Corcoran discusses everything in person at your car and answers any question throughly. Very happy with the experience I received during my visit today. I trust her with my fur babies eyes and will bring my other dogs here for eye check ups as well.

I was a bit hesitant at first because I found Vet Vision from google and a review said good and cheap, which I would have preferred it to say inexpensive, but after everything I'm 100% confident in the surgery that took place and the fair pricing especially for this area. We were recommended to go to a different place from our normal vet, who would not perform the surgery, however, we could not get an appointment and the estimate was very high.
While it did take a bit to get in to see the doctor at Vet Vision, they were confident, helpful, and professional. Koda had her surgery on February 18. The surgery went fine, the recovery was good, (everyone at home is very happy to have no cone) and now we are onward with the healing process. Anyone looking and especially concerned about a tumor needing removed I hope this review is helpful. Koda had a tumor on her upper eyelid and 2 other vets looked at it and said they could do it, but were not sure.
Well that was not good enough for me. While I don't want anyone's dog to need surgery. If they do and if she did again, I would be back. Thanks to everyone at vet vision for taking care of koda!

My experience with vet vision has been amazing. They treated my dog with great care and spent a lot of time with him. They explained everything and printed an easy to follow spreadsheet of the procedures and cost. Aftercare was emailed and printed and they went over it with us several times just to make sure we understood. The surgery went smoothly and my dog is so much happier now that he can see.
I highly recommend them; the veterinarian and staff could not have been more patient or friendly. Additionally, the cone actually fits him which was comforting and makes things easier (this photo is one day post surgery and there is barely any swelling and he doesn't seem to be in pain).

Unfortunately I have to give vet vision 1 star due to the fact that my beloved dog died one week after surgery. They lack transparency and information when it comes to cost and procedures. I went in for a consultation and was given a price of $2800 but after making the very difficult financial decision to spend that kind of money on my almost 17 year old dog for cataract surgery I then found out that does not include required test and medications which added over another $1,200+ to the bill Making it over $4,000! (for 1 eye!) If I had know that ahead of time I never would of done the surgery.
I was also not properly informed about the care and stress that my dog would be under after surgery and the around the clock medication and how hard that would be for my dog. We were assured that they had state of the art equipment and had performed over 6,000 surgeries, I should of asked how many survived until the 1 week check up successfully. I was assured that she had done this surgery on even older dogs then mine and had done just fine.
I feel she over drugged my dog with oral anitobic which caused him stomach upset and when we went in for our 1 week check up and he was not doing well she failed to see his signs that he was in major distress and within 24 hours went into kidney failure and I had to make the most horrible decision to put him down. So something that was supposed to improve my dogs quality of life ended up killing him and costing me over $4,000 and no dog! Biggest mistake of my life.
She was the expert, she should of know due to my dogs heath history that this was risky, I was not given any such information or advice or information on complication which could result. She just told me how experienced she was and how many she had done. I even question how well he could actually see after surgery, he was crashing into walls and didn't seem to be able to see much better.
I am heartbroken and all they seem to care about is the money. The doctor said she would give me some money back because he did not make it to his follow up appointments, I have called several times to get my money back and they never have. She is a great doctor until something goes wrong.
