Michigan Humane deploys a team of trained and credentialed investigators and rescue agents on the road in metro Detroit. Michigan Humane takes a leadership role in affecting legislation to address animal welfare issues in our state. Join our Legislative Action Network and help lobby for laws to address animal welfare issues in Michigan.
Michigan Humane investigates cruelty complaints in our service area of Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park. To report suspected animal cruelty in these cities, call our Cruelty Hotline at 313-872-3401 daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or leave a detailed message any time. Be sure to leave all the information requested on the voice mail message, including the complaint street address and major cross streets. You can remain anonymous but please include your phone number if possible in case additional information is needed.

Everyone was helpful and I'm still in need of getting rid of small kitten. It's no problem; I'm just not in the position to keep it. A loving caring home would be appreciated. The kitten is mild mannered affectionate and a clean indoor type. If interested please respond. Only if seriously considering.

Dave helped me. He is from the Westland branch. He was really great and answered all of my many questions. He's very knowledgeable about dogs. The ladies were all really nice too. They answered my questions and they were Very patient and kind. I just got my new dog yesterday but so far so good. Hes great! So sweet.

Was there at 8:25 am, our appointment for our cat was at 8:40 am. We tried to call when we got there but the phone cut us off twice, so my husband went to the door and they claimed they didn't have any appointments until 9:20 am. He told them that we received a reminder of call from Michigan Humane Society the day before, so after sitting for another 15 minutes, they saw our appointment and took care of our cat, which was only about 15 minutes! So we wasn't too happy about that!

The best veterinarian I have ever been to, I will never go anywhere else. This place was AMAZING, the staff, the service, the time it took to get my cats for surgery. I really can't put it in words how happy I am with this place and everything they have done for me and my animals, they are so caring, loving and helpful. They really went above and beyond to help me with my cats.
My kitten was injured and they were all booked but they told me to bring him in to get looked at, they made sure he was fine and kept calling me to update me on what they were doing for him. After they got done, they asked me if I wanted to get the other cat Fixed/neutered, and they scheduled me a appointment for them. I told them I was not working at the time and I couldn't afford to pay for everything but they didn't care about the money, they cared about the health and safety of my cats.
I felt so much better knowing that my cats were in good hands. I would highly recommend this place to anyone even if you already have a veterinarian that you are comfortable with. I recommend you try them out one time and then make the decision where you want to take your animals, I guarantee you would choose Michigan Humane as your number one location for all your animal health care.

We came to the shelter on Monday looking for a puppy. As soon as I saw Pavel now Oakley We fell in love! He is fitting in perfectly with our pack. He loves his older sister Roxy and she loves him too. They are a perfect match. I just want to say how friendly everybody was there at the shelter. Thank you for the awesome experience
