They took good care of my kitty when I brought him here! Our main vet cancelled our appointment due to catching covid, but we weren't able to wait since my cat was throwing up blood. We were brought straight to a room with him and he was able to be accessed and had a bunch of tests run. I didn't get a firm diagnosis on his condition, but I do have a better understanding of what's going on and can have the records transferred to my main vet for further follow ups.
Everyone working was incredibly nice! There were some long periods of waiting but that's to be expected when there's a handful of other patients being simultaneously seen. Bring a book or something to occupy yourself while waiting and you should be fine. If you have an emergency that can't wait for a weekday vet, then go here!

My first time traveling and bringing my kitty feline to this 24hr hospital facility. Very nurturing and caring animal hospital. Front desk staff was very patient, understanding and professional. I liked the nursing staff and how they came to you and gathered the appropriate notes. And appreciated how the doctor, Dr Barchard comes to you patiently and professional with the medical prognosis and preventive care.
Thanks for the next day follow-up. All positivity is true. Only warning I can offer to the next potential human--fur parent visit is do expect some medium to long wait as this hospital facility gets VERY BUSY! Bring yourself something to occupy your time while you wait on your fur-baby/buddy and to calm your nerves! Happy healing to your pet and thanks Animal Specialty and Emergency Hospital for seeing my kitty!

The staff was extremely compassionate, the female (don't have her name) at the front desk was welcoming and extremely friendly when I arrived and when I was leaving (after midnight on 5/7/22) she talked to me and seemed to really care about what was going on with my dog. The vet (Mary Rowe) took her time explaining everything to me and the vet techs (I wish I had their names but one was a younger male and a very friendly female) were amazing with my dog(older female pit bull).
I was scared the fee to bring my dog in on a Saturday night was going to be outrageous, but it wasn't too much more than what it would be at some of the regular vets office, and I paid the same amount for the tests that another vets office ran 2 years ago. After years of trying to get to the bottom of what was going on with my dog she was diagnosed with diabetes.
I was sent home informed and ready to face what I needed to do for my dog that I love so much. Thank you to the staff for being amazing and caring for my dog like it was their own.

Some of the staff are great, and seem to just want to help. I've been here a number of times over the past ten years or so, however, and my most recent experience was horrible. I took my cat here and was told I should consider euthanizing, as she would need to stay overnight at least for one night, possibly more, and would need surgery. I told them I wanted to have her stay overnight and reassess her condition the following day to see if her condition improved.
The woman who was handling my cat's basic intake (not the vet) then told me I was being selfish in that decision. Her demeanor changed when I told her I could pay for their ridiculous costs for a single overnight stay, and that comment was incredibly uncalled for and way off base. I made a number of phone calls that night to find another vet in the area who would be able to help my cat if she needed another stay before getting surgery, and took her home the following day.
It's been nearly two weeks since my cat had surgery and she's back to her old self. If I listened to that employee, my cat would be dead for no reason. I understand that sometimes you have to make the hard choice, because it's best for the pet. But I feel like she made a lot of assumptions about me and disparaged me for no reason. I'd also like to say that the majority of the staff were great, especially the vet who was there the next day when I picked my cat up, but I feel like that one interaction completely overshadowed any of the positive aspects of their service.
I debated leaving a review for a while, because I really don't want to deter people from going to an emergency vet when needed, but I decided to leave it because I think it's important to let people know that they're not selfish for trying to give their pets a chance to recover, or to get a second opinion. I'm so glad I did. I've raised this cat since she was 3-5 days old. I won't apologize for giving her a chance, especially one that she seized with vigor.

The staff was helpful when we called and coordinate with the staff on site to make sure our dog could be seen. When we arrived, we called to notify them and were quickly taken in to an exam room. The tech saw to our dog, asked us lots of questions, including medical history and issues and took him into the back. Once treated the doctor visited with us, reviewed the treatment and plan for going forward. The staff called the following day (Sunday) to check on our dog and make sure there were no later complications. A pleasure to deal with when having an urgent need.

With two senior cats, Animal Specialty and Emergency has seen us through devastating loss, scares that thankfully ended up to be minor, and everything in between. The care is always thorough and at the utmost quality, with state of the art equipment and everything they need at their fingertips. Being a vet is always a hard job, but I can't imagine how hard it must be to see panicking people and their beloved pets through 24-hour emergencies.
The staff is always compassionate and thoughtful. We lost our beloved cat at their facility, and they gave us all the time we needed and worked with the local Pet Loss Center to handle arrangements. This high-quality emergency care comes at a cost premium, but it is truly worth it (and not as expensive as I've expected sometimes), and at no point have I ever felt taken advantage of. Quotes are upfront and accurate, giving the pet owner the ability to make decisions before committing. We are thankful to have this facility.

I was really nervous to have to take my dog here having had a bit so great experience at the other pet hospital in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness and caring of the staff and doctor here. They were very helpful, thorough and discussed every option available for us without any pressure as to what they expected us to do. it was wonderful, we will use them again if we need to. Thank you so much for a good experience!

If you have an emergency this is a good option. We did have a dying dog in urgent need of medicine that could help his condition. The staff was able to see us right away. And then the waiting began. While the dog wasnt given any treatment, while we waited for 4 hours for no reason! While the dog suffered. Be on top of these people for faster service.
The business was not busy and we were scolded by staff for asking how long it would take after waiting 3.5 hours. Very bad experience and also be aware they are controlling with covid measures.

We went here when our dog was having some issues and we were worried so we rushed to this location, when we arrived we were so well taken care of and treated with sympathy, they truly wanted to take care of our pup and give us the proper goodbye, letting go was hard but they truly made it smooth going for us and treated us not like customers, but like humans losing a family member. we can't thank everyone there enough, when we went to pick up our girls remains we got a gift.
This was the most loving, greatest gift we could've asked for. truly we didn't expect to have such an amazing piece with her paw print in it we can now forever remember. much love to the workers.

Thank you for saving Monty's life! They got us in immediately and were able to treat him without surgery. They have the most affordable rates of any emergency vet we've ever had to visit (unfortunately Monty has had quite a few emergency medical issues). Everyone was so kind to me and especially to Monty. We hopefully will not be back, but if another emergency comes up they will definitely be my first choice.
