Small animal veterinarians estimate that they see more patients for skin problems than any other concern, making dermatology a large part of their practice. Healthy skin and a normal hair coat are the result of many internal and external factors. Nutrition, proper bathing and brushing, parasite prevention and general health are all important factors.
It's common knowledge that dogs and cats have extraordinary hearing. However, this often means they are more sensitive to ear infections and the discomfort an ear infection will likely cause. Luckily, however, an exam and a diagnosis by your veterinary specialist will lead to proper treatment. An affected dog will often have inflammation in the ears in addition to a foul odor.
As long as the stools aren't extremely watery, black like tar, containing fresh blood, or associated with vomiting or excessive straining, you can try giving 1 teaspoon per 5 pounds of Kaopectate. You may also try feeding a bland diet of cooked white rice and boiled skinless, boneless chicken or lean hamburger meat.
Cystitis applies to any disease that inflames the urinary bladder. It is typically caused by a bacterial infection; however, bladder stones and polyps may be to blame. The more common symptoms include blood in the urine and discomfort when urinating. Your pooch may also urinate more frequently than normal.

They are simply the best. I was having trouble finding someone to deal with my pup's lymphoma. I am in Palm City and no one could take her here for 3 weeks, they moved the schedule around to get her in and starting on the chemo regime. I was lucky to find someone at The Cancer Care Clinic here is Stuart to get her in finally, but these people came to the plate and were ready to assist if I could not get someone immediately. I appreciate all their help and wanted to give a big THANK YOU.

Went to this clinic with my Boston Terrier and the service is above & beyond. Let's start with the doctor. He was very professional, assessment was thorough yet gentle with my dog. He not only was on point with his diagnosis, but the guy let me also participate in the care of my dog. Is great to see a profesional that really enjoys what he does and educate pet owners how to follow up on care.
His team is very attentive, polite & kind. My dog went twice, trauma related events and Jayko's tech was so calming to him, especially when he was in so much pain. More impressive is that the amount I paid was really good for the care he was given. I really recommend this clinic and I wish they grow. We need more people like this to take care of our pets.

I have used Animal Medical Clinic in the past for my other dog that I had to put down after 18 years. I have a new puppy now and of course I wanted the best care and I chose Animal Medical Clinic for my new puppy. They truly care about the well-being of your animal and will do the most to make the animals feel comfortable. I've only had positive experiences for over my many years here and I am looking forward to many more.

This veterinarian's office is one of the best I have been to in many years. Excellent care, customer service and services offered at this location. They remember your pet and treat you like family. No pet ever likes going, but they do their best to make it as easy and painless as possible, for your pet and pocketbook.

Outstanding care. My dog is a patient at the Melbourne Beach location (which is also fantastic), and when she needed emergency care while they were closed, the Melbourne clinic was able to see her immediately. Dr. Ellie and Dr. Rodriguez were phenomenal, and thanks to them, my dog is still alive. They are so knowledgeable, caring, and clearly skilled.
The doctors and staff were very patient with my many questions. It was obvious to us that the techs were also taking excellent care of her behind the scenes, and we were reassured by the knowledge that she would be monitored overnight after surgery. We are forever grateful to everyone here for saving our girl's life.
