Every pet like our own This has been our mantra for fifty years. It is the code by which we live, and the north star by which we train. And when your mission is to care for every pet like your own, ordinary standards of medicine won't do. Here, we believe in excellence. We believe in innovation. We believe in setting a new bar for the quality of care you can expect for the pet you love so deeply.
You'll see it in our AAHA accreditation. You'll see it in the thoroughness of our exams, the thoughtfulness of our protocols, and in our facility with the latest technologies.

The veterinarians at Framingham Animal Hospital believe in making a difference in your life. Dr. Rabaut graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. In 1975 she became the owner of Framingham Animal Hospital after purchasing it from Dr. Greene. For years she was active in the Mass Veterinary Medical Association, serving on several committees, and she was President of the Association in 1999.
AAHA Proud AAHA is the only veterinary accrediting body in the United States. Its mission is simple: to standardize and certify excellence in everything an animal hospital does. In order to earn accreditation, a veterinary practice must undergo routine examination and inspection on approximately 900 different standards.
At Framingham Animal Hospital, we advocate for annual diagnostic and wellness checkups for your pet. Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, these annual visits and diagnostics can help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy, or can help us detect hidden diseases, or allow us to monitor chronic health conditions.
Framingham Animal Hospital maintains a complete in-house pharmacy. We have competitive pricing and the assurance of quality manufactured products. We are able to have medications prescribed and ready for you at the time of your pet's appointment or generally the same day as requested. Refills can be requested by calling our hospital at 508-877-0900 it is best if we are given 24-hour notice. The pet must have been examined by our veterinarians within the last 6 months to have refills on any prescription medication.

Dr. Brady is a great vet. I have a senior cat with some health issues and she is so considerate, caring and informative. My experiences have all been great but Dr. Brady in particular has been helpful. Definitely a great place to take your animals. The technicians are all very enthusiastic and caring too. Five stars.

Thank you to Dr. Susan Rabaut and all the staff. You saved our dog's life. You were quick, responsive, kind, and caring. We were very stressed out and had been looking for a hospital all day. Especially to the receptionist, from the moment you answered phone, we knew our dog was in the right hands. When the tumor on her tail took a turn for the worse, Dr. Rabaut was able to fit her in much earlier than originally planned. Everyone took great care of our elderly dog and now she is living her senior years much more comfortably.

I have been taking my pug there for a year now - they were recommend to me by my neighbors who have been using them for a very long time. I have been very pleased with their responsiveness (have had my share of semi-urgent issues over the past 12 months), education, care / aid to remedy, etc. I even had my doctor check in on a Sunday / their day off. Highly recommend!

My husband brought our 6 year old Frengle for a standard nail trim. We've been taking him there since he was a small puppy. I'm not sure what happened between our dog and the nail tech but to give him back to us with a bloodied paw is just upsetting. Our dog absolutely adores people and gets anxiety around unfamiliar dogs so he barks and may growl but it's no reason to cut our dog and rush him back out to us as if nothing happened!
When my husband took him out from the back seat of our car there was blood everywhere! Our poor Toby has been through enough as a pup so for this to happen to him is cruel. Not even an apology or offering to treat his bloodied paw. They must of cut to deep and hurt a nerve in his nail. Our poor dog is now limping around the house. I will not be taking our dog here anymore!

We have been using FAH for many years. Recently our cat, Scout had kidney failure. Dr. Brady examined her and did some blood work. After we got the results later that day, it was determined that the best course was euthanasia. We came back, she left us alone with Scout, to say goodbye. She was extremely compassionate and reassured us that we were making the right decision.
After the procedure she left us alone again, so that we could leave when we were ready. About a week later she sent us a sympathy card with a handwritten personal note of comfort. Dr. Brady should be commended for her compassion, not only for the cat, but for us as well. Thank you, Dr. Brady.

Amazing vet office! The best i have ever encountered. I Have had the pleasure of getting: dr rabaut (both), dr. Nord, dr. Brady, and dr. Monroe. You are in good hands with any of them! What vet thanks you for bringing your cat for a follow up visit because she was just as concerned as you? Dr. Monroe that's who! Thank you everyone for taking care of our kids!

I can't even put into words how incredibly grateful we are to have found this practice. This team (all of them, not just the doctors) is so incredibly kind. The services are affordable providing traditional care, acupuncture etc. Our vet has worked with both ER and oncology doctors to help us navigate the best care for our pups. We've had surgeries here and every single experience has been positive and thoughtful. I just love this team. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

We saw Dr. Monroe with our Cocker Spaniel yesterday and could not be more thrilled with the care he received. Everyone from the front desk staff to those answering the phones was accommodating and incredibly helpful. Dr. Monroe is a smart, thoughtful, compassionate vet who knows her stuff. She quickly assessed our dog, Wesley, suggesting several possibilities for what might be causing his months long loose stool.false negative stool sample masking giardia or irritable bowel disease or protein sensitivity to chicken and prescribed two different antibiotics with clear instructions including follow-up. Vet prices always seem crazy high but seemed relatively reasonable. $175 approx for visit and two medications. Overall a tremendously positive experience! (Now if only I could find a human primary care doc that amazing!)

I haven't posted anything to Yelp in years. But sitting here with a purring cat next to me who was so ill just 3 days ago, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the staff at Framingham Animal Hospital. One of our cats started vomiting over the course of a weekend. By the time Monday morning came, we'd tried every home remedy in the book. When I called FAH, I was able to bring him in right away.
They reserve appointments for emergencies like this. Dr. Monroe took great care of him. Two days ago, we truly prepared for the worst. Our cat was lethargic, could not even stand, and vomited bile in the exam room. It was terrible to watch, and my heart was broken. I didn't think he would make it, and the doctor was careful to prepare us for the worst.
Tonight he is sitting next to me, with a big scar in his belly, but happy and healthy. These clinicians understand what it is to love a pet as a member of your family. Dr. Monroe has emailed me on off-hours to see how Lucky is doing - any pet parent will understand how much that means. Dr. Nord has treated my dog for persistent ear infections/ allergies, and was the first to tell me about Apoquel (if your dog has allergies, look it up, it's a game changer).
Reading through some other reviews, I suppose I agree they are on the expensive side. I don't think it's over the top. And I'd pay this and more, every time, to get the level of care these veterinarians provide. I received an email from our doctor with the subject line "hooray for poop!" Enough said. These people care:)

Knowledgable, caring, friendly staff! I was referred to FAH 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. I bring both my Wheaton Terrier and Lab Chow mix for their regular check ups. I have called a few times with a concern or silly question and the doctors always call back (quickly and at no charge)! They do not ask you to bring your pet in unless it is necessary. Thank you for taking such great care of my dogs, we love you!

Every experience I've had with FAH has been positive. Their staff is thorough and patient. Their facility is clean, welcoming, and exceptionally pet-friendly (they have a separate waiting area for cats!). Dr. Yagodzinski is wonderful. I adore her. She is understanding, explains everything patiently, and so obviously loves what she does. Their prices are pretty standard, I'd say.
I always feel ok with what I pay, and I believe it's a great value. I feel like my cats are in great hands with this staff! An additional note: I had to utilize their emergency services this morning, and I could not be more pleased with the process. When I called at 7am, a service answered with a chipper, friendly, caring voice. She took some information and the on-call vet called me back within 5 minutes.
I explained what was going on and was told I could bring my sick little kitty in this morning. I was so surprised, I thought I would have to wait for normal business hours! I was able to get in, have her seen, get some meds, and get home in about 45 minutes from start to finish. And that included an exam, x-ray, antibiotic and steroid injection, and suture removal! And check-out! All-in-all, I have been beyond pleased. If you're considering using FAH, do it. You won't regret the decision.

I'd just like to say thanks to the staff of Framingham Animal Hospital. Recently, I experienced the dog-sitter's nightmare - one of the dogs I was watching hurt himself and I had to take him to the vet. Thankfully, Framingham Animal Hospital was great about keeping in touch with the owner, understood my situation regarding payment, answered all my questions and had excellent records of the dog's past visits/medications, of which I had minimal information. Dr Rabaut easily dealt with my grumpy charge, who has to be muzzled at the vet. He's bitey, but a sweet boy, so I was glad she treated him accordingly.
She was not overly rough with him, as some people tend to be with aggressive dogs. She was very thorough and I felt very confident of her analysis. The xray techs also did a great job handling my canine friend. I will suggest that the staff be reminded to approach muzzled animals carefully, or ask before approaching. They should also educate their customers of the same thing.
So many people just reached out their hands at my muzzled buddy without even questioning WHY a dog is muzzled in the first place? They should also make an effort to have water and bowls available, or offer them to panting dogs.

I had been bringing our cat Bear to another vet place, but when we took in our new little wastrel, I realized I needed to look elsewhere for care. They wanted to give the poor cat two rounds of shots before fixing, and they got the sex of the cat wrong. And they were retardedly expensive. So, in I go to Dr. Rabaut, who was really nice, and kind. She went to fix our little guy, and found out he has a congenital deformity which is sort of Life Threatening.
Instead of advocating a really expensive surgery, she suggested that we enjoy the little guy for as long as he has, as the surgery would not positively help him. Plus, the surgery might have killed him, as he has wonky lungs. The best thing was her manner, which soothed our freaked out kitty to no end. She also soothed his freaked out owners, too. And the prices for care here, were the best I found in the area. In a totally incidental note, they have a really pretty garden out front.

I thought my prior vet was good until I started coming to Framingham Animal Hospital. The vets are great and thorough. Our vet made an easy recommendation that has totally helped my dog and saved me lots of money. I really like the waiting room, free candy, and friendly staff. Even though they see tons of dogs all day, they act very happy to see Sniffy.
My only complaint is their phone system. Never when I call do I speak to anyone. I leave a message and they call me back a day later and a game of phone tag ensues. It's strange, as this is a pretty big place. It's also This is really annoying as when I call them, I'm ready to make the appointment.

My first experience here was absolutely perfect. The receptionists were all very friendly and overly helpful. The waiting room was a bit crowded, but it was clean and I wasn't sitting there for very long. We saw Dr. Monroe who is definitely the type of veterinarian who will do what is best for the animal and not what will make the most money for the practice.
I spent 6 years working as a veterinary technician, and I've worked with about 15 doctors. Since then, my cats have been seen by 5 different doctors in 3 different animal hospitals and I've finally found one I'm comfortable with. I'd just like to point out that out of the 20 or so veterinarians I have had exposure to, there have been 3 that I completely trust with my pets, and Dr. Monroe is one of them. Granted, I have only met her once, but she really impressed me.
I can't speak for the other doctors at this hospital, but the overall vibe here is cheery. You don't have happy vet clinic employees if you practice shoddy medicine.
