Our new hospital is just around the corner from our Hazel Street location, at 510 Hartford Ave West in Uxbridge, next to the UXLocale Restaurant! The Uxbridge Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital.

Dr. Jocelyn Cowan joined the UAH veterinary team in 2004, providing outstanding patient care and performing surgery. Meeting clients and their companions is one of the great parts of my job. Knowing that I help owners keep their pets safe, healthy and comfortable is a feeling beyond compare. Dr. Cowan completed a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science and Mathematical Science at Johns Hopkins University.

Your pet's health is important to us, that's why we provide a wide range of veterinary services. Our knowledgeable, experienced staff will provide the care and guidance your pet needs to live a long and happy life. We understand veterinary care can be expensive at times so we also accept Care Credit, which allows you 6 months interest free, for purchases over $200.

I've been bringing my pets to Uxbridge Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They are always caring, attentive and professional. The support staff is knowledgeable, accommodating and loving to my pets. The vets are amazing, they always handle my pets with love and concern and the level of care is second to none. I highly recommend the practice.

Incredible care and service everytime we visit or call. They listen, ensure I undertand what's going on each step of the way and they take incredible care of your furry family members. I have brought my pets here for years and have always had a positive experience. The entire staff is caring, understanding and thorough. They will break everything down for you from costs to procedures and reasons why. They always answer my questions no matter how silly they may be and I cannot recommend them enough. Dr. Veo is amazing and I will be coming to her as long as she's there, and as long as I have pets! Thank you to the whole team for always putting your all into everything even through a pandemic! We took our dog here for 4 years, mostly just needing routine care. Up to recently I was always pleased with the care we received. Over the summer my dog started struggling with anxiety, he started treatment and started to improve initially. Fast forward a couple months and his anxiety was worsening again and a new murmur was picked up at a routine appt for vaccines.
I was instructed to google Covid separation anxiety, given some suggestions on holistic calming ideas, told to change his food as it was the cause of his murmur. When I voiced concern over his teeth I was instructed that he does not need dental at this time and go on the website for dog approved dental products. None of this sat right with me. Why would we not work up a new murmur?
I decided to switch doctors and get a second opinion. Very first visit we added new medications to his regimen that helped his anxiety, I was given the specific suggestions that might help his anxiety not instructed to look them up and gingivitis was diagnosed and dental cleaning scheduled. Within 2 weeks an echo was done to find the source of the murmur. THIS is what I would have expected. I know that times are tough right now, but they are our family, and they should be treated as such.

We have now used the Uxbridge Animal Hospital for two of our dogs (on a recommendation from a friend) and they have been fantastic. Each appointment they take the time to explain everything and listen to any questions you may have. I always receive a follow up call the next day checking on any questions or to see how our dog has responded to any treatment that may have been received. Highly recommended!

The staff at the hospital is caring and considerate. Dr Veo is so kind and is very reasonable in her treatment of our dog. I respect and have great faith in her decisions. One important factor is the office does not continually schedule unnecessary appointments for the financial gain of the clinic. We so appreciate that. Our dog Finn never minds going to see the vet because he is so well treated. I would recommend the Uxbridge animal hospital to anyone who has a new pet or is looking to change vets.
