I have taken my 2 dogs to Gibraltar Vet for years. I am taking care of my sons dog for a few months as he is in the Army and needed someone to watch his dog short term. His dog is 7 and had a fairly long seizure and has never had one before. I called and explained the situation and they would not let me bring him in for over 2 1/2 weeks. I am retired so I told them I could do any day/time but that didn't help. Called another vet who I have not been to, they said they could get me in the next day. I won't be going back. I like the vets at Gibraltar but this is unacceptable.

We just showed up for our 3.40 appointment. We reached out and advised we would be a little late. We were 15 minutes late. They refused to see us unless we paid an emergency office visit fee. I understand the need for keeping a schedule, but they clearly have capacity if they can see the dog, they just want more money to do it. Be better Gibraltar Vet. This place can go "love" themselves.

The front desk is always nice never rude the few times I have been in thus far. When calling it is the same always friendly never rude. And. Dr. Duderstadt is amazing. I absolutely trust her to take care of my 2 new kitties. After an unexpected and for me a traumatic loss of my 9 year old cat Angel and a horrible vet experience I came here and she is a God send. Nothing less than an amazing vet and human.

The care is usually good however. They over schedule themselves, I scheduled an appointment pretty early and had to wait an hour just for them to see my dog. The reason for the two stars is I called for an emergency the night before and they couldn't get me in because they had too many appointments. Now I'm here for my appointment and they can't get me in because of emergencies.
Very strange, very unprofessional. I had to call them after a while to see where anyone was, 30 minutes after I called to tell I was here; which was 10 minutes before my appointment. So an 1:40min in the parking lot while my dog bleeds.

We boarded our Golden Retriever for her first time, she is just over a year old and was scared to death. It was as hard on us leaving her as it was her being away from us. She is very shy and avoids new people. They were very nice when I called to check on her, and assured me they were taking good care of her. They said she was very sweet, which surprised me.
She was happy when they walked her out when we picked her up, before she knew we were there. So I know they took great care of her, and even though I paid them for a service I feel they went above and beyond and we can't thank them enough.
