We have three doctors dedicated to the health of your horse - they provide timely, high quality, and compassionate care. Our services are listed below with a brief explanation of each area. Please call us if you need more details or wish to make an appointment. We offer care both on-farm and at our state-of-the-art, fully computerized veterinary clinic.
We provide a full array of preventive medical care. This includes-but is not limited to-physical examinations, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and appropriate treatment or medication, flea and tick control, fecal examinations, and dental care. We also can give you information and resources on basic training, and proper nutrition for all life stages for your pet.
WMVS has the equivalent of four doctors dedicated to production animal medicine and surgery. A complete array of health programs and protocols are designed specifically for each dairy, cow-calf or feedlot enterprise. Our small ruminant section is dedicated to the health care needs of your alpacas, llamas, sheep, and goats. We offer high quality, compassionate care and are committed to continuous improvement as the practice of small ruminant care evolves. We accomplish this with a highly caring and well-qualified health team that advocates individual attention and a commitment to excellence.

Is there any way to give zero stars? This vet is a money grab! During covid, they would not allow us to enter the lobby and then proceeded to charge our card for $25 extra. Further, the vet had recommended a $2,500 surgery to fix a bladder stone issue. We told them that we would have to put our cat down for this because we couldn't afford the surgery.
They then suggested a new diet which did work; however, shouldn't this have been their first recommendation? Our cat is now due for a yearly checkup and they will not approve the prescription food diet that they recommended us. We will be taking our animals elsewhere!

A few years back my bull mastiff had a cancerous tumor in his eye that had to be removed, the veterinarian eye specialist in Grand Rapids wanted $2,200 to remove his eye, which was out of our budget, it looked like we were going to have to put him down until the vet's at West Michigan Veterinarian said they would do the surgery for $600.00 - Rosco went on to live for 3 more happy one eyed years afterwards.

Love this place. My family has been taking our dogs there since I was a little kid and they were in a small building across the street. All the vets are great and caring people. Had my dog there this afternoon for an exam because he wasn't feeling well and the Vet, not just the tech, spent almost 30 minutes going over all my questions and concerns. Highly recommended.

I LOVE the large animal staff at West Michigan Vet Services! Dr Cole and Dr Kaitlyn bring new technology and excellent customer interaction to the practice. I enjoyed the pre-covid educational clinics put on by the office and can't wait to get back to those. I am excited to work with this office and staff to meet all of the needs of my horses!
