Very upset with this place. I have been before and Dr Erin was wonderful and amazing, which was 4 weeks ago for an ultrasound for 2 of my pregnant dogs. I drove an hour today to my appt for an ultrasound just to be told i can wait in the car! which my son in law was there 2 days ago and went in with his dog for his wellness visit. I am not sending my pg dog in without me and why am i not allowed inside? DONT like that and it wont happen and i should have been told before the hour drive there. NOT professional and not dependable or consistent I have been a breeder for 23 years! Worst experience ever

We took our two dogs here for years and referred many people to them. Recently we moved to Florida and called 3 times to get a flea pill prescription sent to chewy as we hadn't gotten a new vet yet and I just had spine surgery. Obtaining our dog records was also difficult. They would not accommodate these simple requests.

I would give Heritage Animal Hospital more stars if I could. these people are amazing! We have an English Bulldog who was having her first litter. She ended up with 7 beautiful puppies but 2 were born with cleft palates. These 2 puppies were beautiful on the outside but in order to care for them properly, they would require tube feedings to avoid aspiration and aspiration induced pneumonia.
We were devastated and we had to make a decision on how to proceed. Realistically, we would never be able to give them the care that they needed and deserved. I cried all morning trying to decide what to do. but then I got a call from the vet who delivered the puppies. She had gone out of her way to find a foster who specializes in cleft palates. I couldn't have been happier that they are now getting a chance. the world needs more people like this! We are forever grateful for their kindness.

Absolutely worth every minute of the drive. Dr. Amanda is so nice and personable. I was calm and relaxed the entire time. I drove 40mins each way and I will continue to for my almost 10yr old lab Bootsie. Dr. Morrison is there also, my girls regular vet of several yrs. Amazing Dr. also! Staff were wonderful. I can't say enough about this wonderful visit we had. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We have been bringing our dog here since she was a puppy. We lived in Dundee at the time, but have since moved away; however, we are so impressed with her care at Heritage that we will not take her anywhere else. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and there have been instances where staff call or text us to follow up on how our sweet girl is feeling. So grateful to have such a wonderful veterinary practice to take care of our dog!

We have very good experiences with our two almost one year old Chihuahuas at this veterinarian. I've been bringing them here since they were around 10 weeks old. Any issues they've had they've been able to treat them. They both had their spaying operation done here and have had no problems. They are very good and patient especially with my one nervous pup.

The vets are awesome, but several have left since we started, the office seems WAAY understaffed. WARNING! Don't use their online pharmacy. Express shipping is a joke and certainly not for any urgent need, $18 for express delivery actually means 6 days. They manage the website and when you call to inquire, their response is to blame it on the "online pharmacy, " like it is some other company.
They literally processed the order while I was on the phone expressing concern. What a rip off! They definitely seem to care A LOT more about making money rather than caring for animals, definitely more than they used to - BEWARE! This place has gotten more and more expensive over time. If you are too understaffed, then don't offer an online pharmacy or have another company do it for you. You may lose a few bucks, but you charge plenty and for every tiny thing, so you should be just fine.

Thank you. You really helped my dog out today. Moderate ear wound, called on a Saturday morning to get in. Of course you are booked up, but worked us into the schedule, got her in, and got her expertly stitched up. All for a very reasonable price. Your effort to work her in and expert care saved her a lot of unnecessary stress and will lead to a much better outcome for her ear. Thank you. Of course not my first visit there. You always do exceptional work. But today was an extra that made a significant difference.

I have taken all my dogs here for years! From the time when my vet(Dr. Cornprost) was younger in his day! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Very respectful and organized! Really cares for the animals that come through their doors! So if you want a family atmosphere come here! The Staff is great and really make you feel at home!

I will forever brings my animals here. I had to unfortunately put my loved dog down on Friday. It was a week long event and every single step of the way they did their best and tried to help. Even to the point that a spectacular staff member anonymously donated to his care cost. They searched rescues for donations until the last moment. Even when. the tough decision had to be made they never once made me feel guilty about what needed to be done.
What they showed me made everything so much easier than I could fathom. It still hurts beyond belief. But even though half the time I was sobbing and over sharing they made it as easy as they could.

Very nice facility, everyone was very polite and I'm sure the other veterinarians are great. My only advice would be to absolutely steer clear of Nick Vitale. We. put a great deal of trust into his "expertise" Unfortunately that caused a lot of heartache for us, made all the worse by how quickly he was able excuse himself from any accountability. Again, I mean no disrespect towards anyone at the vet I'm sure they're all great and I have tremendous respect for anyone who dedicates their life to helping animals. just speaking from the perspective of an animal lover who cares about my pets like children. Trusting him was a mistake.

We have two rescue dogs and Heritage Animal Hospital has been patient and caring on making sure they are heathy. Each of our dogs have faced some very unique illnesses and their doctors didn't give up on them. Our babies are healthy and fun loving again because Heritage cared and went the extra mile. Thank you to Dr. Nick and his caring team!

It has taken me a long time to get up the courage to write this review. I loved my pet fox Smudge to the moon and back. He was gifted to me by my husband when I was going through breast cancer treatment. Smudge was and expert on cuddles and snuggles and his antics outside made me laugh and kept my spirits high well into and out of recovery. Smudge practically raised our black and tan coonhound puppy. Jasper was the hound to Smudge the fox, the two were inseparable, playing digging, and the best part-snow!
One winter day they were playing in tunnels of snow they had dug and we heard Smudge screech! We ran over to him and he was holding his front leg up. We rushed him to Heritage Animal Hospital where Dr. Nick examined him and took x-rays. Yes, Smudge had broken his leg. And of course it wasn't a clean break, it was the kind of break that you need plates and screws.
That wasn't the daunting part. That part was to keep Smudge quiet and not using his leg before and after surgery. Well we converted part of the attached garage to a recovery room. Smudge was not happy but he put up with us taking him outside to do his business and not letting him play and run with his best friend. One day, well into his recovery I checked on him and he was sleeping.
I decided to 'sleep while the patient slept' on the couch. The next thing I remember is my husband yelling-there's something wrong with Smudge! I ran out to see poor Smudge walking with his front cast and good leg and dragging his back legs! Again I wrapped him up and we drove to Heritage where Dr. Nick examined and more x rays. All test were normal. Medically there wan't a reason for Smudge to be dragging his back legs. Dr. Nick tried various treatments for the next 8 days, consulted with other vets out of town.but nothing helped.
I knew what had to be done and my heart broke. I took Smudge out to the back yard where he could lie and smell and bite at the snow for the last time. I kissed his black button nose and shared my yogurt with him. I cuddled and snuggled and cried into his fur and he tolerated it all, almost like he knew this was goodbye. The staff and Dr. Nick were all as tearful as I was.
They let my perfect little breast cancer recovery buddy cross over while I held him in my arms and sobbed into his fur and I felt him relax while his spirit slipped away. I could not have a better veterinary team trying to save my beloved Smudge's life. They were there for me when it counted.

Most of the Vets are very young, this can be a good or bad thing. I personally would like to see a more experienced staff. As soon as your pet has symptoms that do not fit a cookie-cutter description they don't know what to do. This year we unfortunately lost a dog at 7yo due to, what I feel like, was a rushed decision to perform a surgery before they understood all of her symptoms.
I don't think it was negligence as much as just a lack of experience; the Vet was very nice and open with their thoughts about the symptoms and overall situation. They did consult another Vet on staff who as equally as inexperienced. The Vet was very good about following up daily when the dog got sick and it was obvious that they cared about her.
It is hard to say if there could have been a different outcome under more experienced staff. The staff working the front desk are now usually disorganized, not returning calls, not tracking info in our pet's file. Last year they even asked about making an appointment for a dog who was euthanized there weeks before. that was pretty awful. I would seek an additional opinion before committing to any intrusive procedures and make sure to hold them accountable at the front desk.

I love this vet clinic. They always fit me in when my pets are sick. All the staff are great but Dr Cornprobst is the best. You can tell he truly cares about the animals. He doesn't try to tack on extra cost. If my pets don't need something, he tells me. Unlike a lot of veterinarians, he fixes the problem, instead of half-assing it so you have to come back.
He gives discounts when he can and free samples. I love this place. I recently moved an hour and a half away and I've still been driving there, because when your pet is your baby, you take them to the best. And this is the best place.
