Meet The Staff Report

Each member of our staff is committed to providing the best possible care for your pet. Our employees have an average tenure of over 8 years with our hospital and this experience shows in our compassion, empathy and concern for our patients. By providing individual hands on training, lectures, staff meetings and continuing education seminars to our team members we are able to stay abreast of advances in veterinary medicine and patient care. We had a near-emergency situation with our elderly female cat Agatha. Upon learning that the office was short-handed we were concerned that the wait would be long and maybe we'd still end up having to seek out emergency help elsewhere. Neither turned out to be the case, as the staff not only got us in quickly, but welcomed us all and put Agatha at ease. With the help from them and Dr. Campbell, we learned what was going on and received expert recommendations and options for how to proceed. Our cat is not in great condition, but now we understand much better what we need to do, and I really appreciate their approach. Great service at a fair price!

I had to say goodbye to one of my fur babies and everyone at Ashland Veterinary was so sweet. Dr. Gretchen was so nice and informative.
They are also very reasonably priced and are, in my opinion, the best Veterinary office I've ever visited. Definitely recommend!

I recently had an emergency situation with my dog Percy. He cut himself in a big way on a Saturday when my regular vet was closed. I stopped in at Animal Veterinary Hospital to see if they could make time. It was near closing time but upon seeing his wound they made time to see him. Everyone from the vet techs to the Dr were genuinely concerned about him and did all they could to help.

The treatment has been very effective in healing his wound and he is well on his way to a full recovery. If you are looking for a compassionate vet that is reasonably priced I highly recommend Ashland Veterinary Hospital.

Accommodating! I have a large semi aggressive breed that needs services. Better than Turner Rd & Chester vets n they are closer. In what way? Competence sake! All can pricey but Ashland is worth the drive!

I'm very disappointed in them I took my little Yorkie sassy there they told me that she needed to have an emergency surgery that they couldn't do it that I needed to take her to an emergency hospital that wanted to charge me $6,000 and I found a vet in Hanover who did it for $700 and come find out all she really needed to be was spayed but they couldn't even do that they will never get my business ever again and I almost had my dog put down because of listening to all the horrible things they were saying was going on with her thank God for Dr billiter and Hanover animal hospital

They were very attentive to my cats needs for a semi emergency we found when we woke up. He was seen immeadeatly unlike our regular vet. We are switching over when we move soon. The kitty came out relatively quickly and more importantly happy and calm.

They ensure I understand everything, every step of the way, down to itemizing what you're charged for. I can't say enough good things about this practice. Over the years we've had some of the best most honest and thoughtful experiences with staff and Doctors. Just a very well run and caring establishment for our fur babies. I highly recommend them! And Doctor Gretchen is the bomb!

Everyone that works here is so kind and they are so personable. They truly care about your fur baby and they discuss your options with you. They have never tried to rip us off and have given their professional opinion with tact. Our sweet kitty had a wound over Christmas and they took great care of her and have kept in touch with us to follow up on her healing process. This has been greatly comforting to us. We are appreciative and so glad they are so close by!

This is my go to vet. Have been taking my dogs there since they were puppies. They take good care of the dogs and are especially kind and patient with my dog who is so afraid of the vet. They are very accommodating when it comes to trying to give you the appointment time and date you want.
