We had our initial visit with Shaffer for our senior lab. They really took time to address all my concerns and we established a plan for his continued care and comfort. He is also high anxiety and doctor and vet tech actually won him over! Quite impressive!

I cannot explain how amazing of a veterinarian Dr. Gerrish is. I have been driving over 45 minutes for almost two year's for her to treat my European Great Dane. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. Recently, my Great Dane fractured his toe and was unable to get in with a specialists until next week and Dr. Gerrish called Blue Pearl Specialty vet and was somehow able to get me a same day appointment for my big guy to be seen and get a splint put on.

She is the sweetest, kindest person ever. Every time I bring my big guy in she gets on the floor and makes him feel so comfortable. I will never stop traveling to see her as I have yet to meet a veterinarian that is 1/2 as amazing as she is.

Always a good experience here. From reception to vet techs to doctor, it's pleasant and relaxing for my cat She gets nervous on the ride over, and calms down once there. Everyone is very friendly and considerate. They even follow up the next day. Wouldn't go amywhere else for my pets' care.

Dr. Gerrish was amazing! We adopted our baby in January and have been very nervous to take her to the vet since she is so anxious. Dr. Gerrish and her technician sat on the floor with Prym the entire time and made sure she was comfortable for her visit. Prym left with a smile on her face and a belly full of treats! We will definitely be coming back here. :

Absolutely love this vet practice. Both my dogs see Dr. Gerrish, and I couldn't brag more about her. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and goes above & beyond when I have concerns. My oldest recently had surgery there, and she kept me well informed as she probably guessed how scared I was, and generously gave her time through phone calls post-op when there were a few complications. We've also seen Dr. Patel a few times, who was lovely as well & even remembered us after only seeing us once years prior. The staff have always communicated well with me and been very friendly. Wonderful place!

I enjoy everytime I visit in regards to my pets, they all will be cared for. The entire staff is greatly appreciated with how they listen to me on my concerns and issues. I will highly recommend Shaffer Animal Hospital to everyone I may talk to if they need a vet to count on for caring for their pets care.

We have been using this vet service for many years. The staff has been wonderful in taking care of all our needs. Dr. Gerrish is so kind and attentive to every situation our pets have. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Our two pups love to go to Go Dogs for grooming. Our younger one starts his happy yipping song 5 blocks away and can't wait to get in there. The groomers are always responsive to my concerns and our dogs come out clean, fluffy and adorable!

I love taking my dog to Shaffer Animal Hospital. Dr. Patel and her staff are so good to Kodi and to us. They all love him so much, and when we call there to order food they always ask about him. All the vets are so good and professional!

Shaffer and it's entire staff is simply the best. They take care of my shelties just like I do. They are simply a superb vet that treats our pets with incredibly meticulous care.

They were absolutely great! We are new to the area, and my two Danes get nervous at the vet (which isn't uncommon). The team was really gentle with my girls, they took the time to make them comfortable, and they helped go over all my options for treatment. I would highly recommend this place!

This is actually an update from my previous reviews. I never heard back from Shaffer -- BUT -- apparently they DID run the urine analysis on the sample they told me they were discarding. So credit where it is due. I only became aware of this when Seminole Trail Animal Hospital (STAH) requested records. So GOOD for Shaffer running the tests - but BAD for them never notifying me.

As for my experience with the new vet (STAH), a much (MUCH!) better experience. Not only did we discuss a wide range of possibly causes for Lucy's condition and arrive at a multi-stage course of therapy, the cost was a fraction of the cost at Shaffer and NO PRESSURE to buy expensive "add ons" and NO additional costs without informing me and getting approval. Dr. Walker at STAH is ACES!

I took my dog here who blew oUt her knee she was 13. I was told she would be better euthanized however I regret listening. to them and not getting a second opinion. I watched my dog struggle being put down and it was horrific. I have had many animals put down and never have I seen this they kept showing me multiple things to raise bill that weren't needed and only cared about making the most money vs what the dogs really needed. I will not ever be back.

We've been coming here for years with our rabbit first and now our kitties that we got through other clients of the clinic, the Drs and staff are always so kind. They are excellent at explaining their process and best practices. We're there every 2 months getting soft paws put on our newest cat, it's a wonderful alternative to declawing and keeps him from scratching us, the other cat and furniture! Thank you all!

The entire staff of Shaffer Animal hospital is wonderful, professional, courteous, and compassionate. Dr. Patel is amazing with my animals and always spends one on one time with me to discuss the best course of action to keep my furry friends healthy and happy. I truly couldn't ask for a better animal hospital, Shaffer is one of a kind! Thank you all for everything that you do!

Good for basic care, staff are friendly but careless. See attached photo of lost sick pet. Dr's also could not resolve a sick ( young ) pet despite multiple diagnosis and cortisone injections. Recommend another pet clinic for better overall pet care.

My 2nd emergency visit with 2 different pets within 16 months & I would definitely recommend their services.

This place is amazing, my dog had heart worm and had to have a cancer tumor removed and they took good care of him. They are very thorough and take their time with the appointments

Shaffer is by far the best animal hospital around. Everyone, from the veterinarians to the front desk, are caring. They go above and beyond. Early last year, my dog had a questionable polyp. Dr. Patel was able to refer me to a specialist who removed it, and it turned out to be cancerous. All my follow up visits have been at Shaffer, every 3 months. Dr Patel takes her time to give Sully a thorough exam and she is extremely gentle and caring with him.

He is not afraid to come to the vet's office because they give him lots of love (and treats) to comfort him. My dog is my family and I wouldn't trust him with anyone else.

Fourteen years ago after my sister-in-law became one of the many 9/11 casualties, I inherited the guardianship of a beautiful Toy Poodle. Yesterday, I had to help my most loyal companion pass from this world. I wish that every pet would pass away naturally, but if their life becomes labored with pain then a visit to this hospital is recommended. The staff at Shaffer's AH were both respectful and highly compassionate.

I recently had to have my fur baby, Snuggles, put down. It has been 5 days and I still cry at the drop of a hat. Dr. Patel at Shaffer was the most compassionate vet during the procedure. I held my baby to the end and Dr. Patel allowed me time alone with Snuggles before I left. Yesterday, 6/25, I got the call his ashes were there. Another bad day for me but the staff member who checked me out was another caring person.

I can't say enough good things about this vet. They took care of my baby since the day we got him to his last day. Thank you Dr. Patel and the entire staff for your caring of both my dog, Snuggles, and his mommy.

To the team of Shaffer Animal Hospital. I wanted to share with anyone who has a chance to read my email. I would like to thank you all VERY much! I recently had to put down my BEST FRIND of 18 years, Brody a Jack Russell Terrier who I loved dearly. He has been through many tough times with me especially in the past 8 years. He was with me all the time and always made me smile and feel warm inside.

I have been bringing Brody on and off to Shaffer as I move a lot for business. I recently moved back to Oviedo and knew it was Brodys time, so I went in to Shaffer for what I called counseling. They, especially Debbie, were all sooo nice to me and helped me to understand the procedures to put Brody to rest. It was very hard for me as many of you may already understand. Putting to rest such a beloved dog to me, my family and many of my friends was going to be one of the toughest experiences I have ever had to do. )-; I gave Brody his last meal in the back of my SUV (in the back of the Vet.

Parking lot) a treat of McDonald's plain hamburger which he enjoyed very much! Then they told me they were ready for me and Brody. We were so well taken care of I can't explain in words how kind they were to us both. The procedure was professionally done by a Doctor who cares for animals and people. Brody was put to rest in my arms where he felt most comfortable and relaxed. November 28th., 2017 I LOVE YOU BRODY! THANK YOU SHAFFER ANIMAL HOSPITAL TEAM!

Dr. Garrish is the best vet ever! We have been going to Schaffer since 2001. The entire staff is professional, friendly and superb at what they do! Dr. Garrish is truly a wonderful Vet.

My husband and I have used Shaffer for a few years now for our 3 fur babies and we were very sad to move to Atlanta and find a new vet. We came to Shaffer after having a terrible experience with Banfield and couldn't believe the difference in customer service and quality of care for our pups! Doctor Berelsman was a fantastic provider for our fur family and provided a very personalized experience each time we brought our dogs in.

We were never pressured into purchasing services or products like our previous vet. If you're looking for loving care for your 4 legged babies I highly recommend this place, if only they had a branch in Atlanta!

I have been using this office for 20-ish years! They are very thorough, clean, and stay modern! I love Dr. Kendra and Dr. Gerrish! Sometimes I get a different doctor, but the receptionist will always ask over the phone first. I have never had a bad experience here! They have always given my puppies the very best care, and they give me honest advice about their health! They are also wonderful at getting you in quickly for any emergencies.

Wife loves this vet, especially after a former vet killed one of our dogs. Our dogs stay here when we take trips and they don't seem too upset which tells us that they feel alwright here. We have even had this office send us pictures of our kids when we are on a longer trip missing them. We have had to walk three dogs across the rainbow bridge here over time.

Two of our own and a rescue. As hard as that is we were treated with respect and they tried to make the situation as comfortable as possible. We still regularly bring our dogs and rescues here for treatment and kennel.

I could not say enough good things about Shaffer Animal Hospital. My pets have been seen by both Dr. Kendra Shaffer and Dr. Jeff Shaffer and have also been seen by some of the newer Dr.'s. The Shaffer's take time to go over every aspect of your pet's health and lifestyle. I have a cat and a dog, who get treated like extensions of their family.

My sister has taken her pets here for years, which is how I came to know Dr. Kendra. Truly, she has a heart of gold and has been with my sister through the most sad and joyful times with her beloved pets. The office staff is very friendly and thorough, and the G.O.D.O.G.S. facility is very nice for training.
