Moraga Veterinary Hospital knows the importance of staying connected with the community. We donate extensively to local schools and community programs. In the past Dr. Bill Kidd has received awards and recognition from animal welfare groups for volunteer services the hospital has provided. Providing good medical care is important to us but it's not much use unless clients can afford the care. One of our goals is to assure our patients get the best care that veterinary medicine has to offer and not have expense be a limiting factor.

Dr. Bill Kidd purchased Moraga Veterinary Hospital in 1977 and his son Ian joined the practice in January of 2010. Dr. Bill Kidd's love and dedication to his profession has built up the practice to provide the community with first-rate pet care. To remain a high quality provider of veterinary care, we have expanded the facility with modern equipment.
Moraga Veterinary Hospital is a full-service facility ready to handle your pet's medical care needs with a fully equipped operating room, a radiology suite, advanced blood chemistry analyzers, electrocardiogram, tonometry, doppler blood pressure monitor and a wide range of instruments needed for most cases.

We are lucky to have dedicated, skilled team members to help the hospital run smoothly and to provide the best care possible to our clients and their families. Stacey is our UC Davis-educated RVT and she's been with us for 25 years.

Moraga Vet had been recommended to me by a family friend who lives in the area. My 8 month cat who lives with me in my dorm was having tummy issues and I couldn't bring myself to have us travel 1.5 hours to go our vet back home. I was able to bring Smog in on the same day and had such a great experience with the staff, particularly Dr. Ian Kidd. I appreciated being able to go into the exam room with my cat and have a genuine conversation regarding the best treatments for Smog. I walked out feeling so confident about choosing the right providers for my cat! I highly recommend Moraga Vet to anyone in the Lamorinda area and to any SMC students!

Highly Recommended! Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Took my kitty cat for a check up. We had a great experience with Dr. Ian Kidd. He is highly knowledgeable, patience, and thoroughly answered all my questions. He was very gentle and made my kitty feel safe and comfortable. I'm happy to know we are in very good hands for years to come!

My 12 year old Border Collie had a medical emergency and my regular vet was unable to see her until the following Monday. I called Moraga Vet and they got me in that morning. The staff was absolutely amazing! When I arrived my dog collapsed when I got her out of the car. I went inside and they rushed out and got her into an exam room in seconds, literally. Dr. William Kidd examined her and after a thorough exam with ultrasound and X-ray, her prognosis was grim.
He could not have been kinder as he explained her options. I made the difficult decision to have her put to sleep. Both Doctors Kidd came back with me to say goodbye to her. They and their staff were beyond exemplary in their gentle treatment of my pup and me. They helped me through the worst day ever, and I will be forever indebted to them for their professionalism and kindness.

I rescued a cat at Moraga Commons Park and Moraga Veterinary Hospital staff were so kind to come to the car and scan for a chip, which this kitty had, and because of that I was able to return the kitty to it's family. Kitty was far from home and not just an escapee from one of the nearby homes. Mystery as to how it got there!

Dr. William Kidd is a genuinely caring doctor. He elaborated the care for my dog from one disease to another. He spent a great deal of time being very resourceful regarding how to give my dog's medications. He has knowledge and understanding regarding dog's breed as well as how to take care of them. And his patience to care for the animals is just exceptional. One must have such a big heart to love the animals that much!

Dr. Ian and his staff are great! Always fair and explains everything thoroughly without rushing you. They have handled one of my very timid and anxious cats without ever stressing them out. Easy to get an appointment too! I still travel after moving 30 minutes away to bring my animals here because I know I can trust them to give the best care.
