Of course, anyone who is still not ready to be close to others for any reason at all, we can continue to do the curbside and baby monitors so you can watch and interact with us that way. Our PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY is based on the GOLDEN RULE: Our clients and animals are treated with patience, dignity and respect, just as we would wish to be treated. We practice the highest quality medicine at a reasonable cost to the client; we tailor our services to the personal needs of each animal and owner; and we spend the time necessary to explain to and educate our clients so that they fully understand any recommended tests and procedures, enabling them to become full partners with the veterinarian in maintaining the good health and well-being of their animal companions.

The Animal Hospitable is a small practice in terms of its physical size, but we practice state of the art medicine. We have in house blood chemistry machines, excellent x-ray and surgical facilities, and well educated, caring staff who regularly attend continuing education seminars to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Teresa Labuszewski is a native western New Yorker, having attended Starpoint Central School from kindergarten through 12th grade. She received a B.A. in psychology from SUNY at Buffalo in 1975, a Ph. D in Psychology from SUNY at Stonybrook in 1980 and her DVM from Cornell University in 1984. She has worked in several western New York veterinary practices, gaining experience and learning from her fellow veterinarians, until 1992 when she opened The Animal Hospitable. You can be assured that our compassionate, caring staff will treat your pet as if they were one of our own.
We offer many services including thorough physical exams, vaccines, same day blood-work, x-rays and dental procedures. We also do surgical procedures including some orthopedics. Our most recent update is our new digital dental x-ray machine. This helps us with extractions of teeth to make sure none of the root is left behind which can cause problems later on.

Death of a pet is inevitable, but medical negligence is inexcusable. Dr. Teresa provided zero medical options to monitor my cat's mild CKD(chronic kidney disease)in July 2021 and died 4 days after she appeared Ill in Feb 2022. So shocked I probed the internet for timely treatments of CKD and the medical management was overwhelming (periodic urine analysis -periodic blood work.etc.).It is INEXCUSABLE that the internet provided better medical care than Dr. Teresa!

The nurses and staff are very pleasant, but the vet has awful bedside manner. I found her to be callous and incompetent. After spending $500 at the office this week I am left with a diagnosis of "I don't know" and a cat still refusing to eat with no direction or follow up in regards to what to do next.

I'm not usually one to write poor reviews, but I don't think this can go without saying. My mom's Yorkie had to be put to sleep after having an internal liver issue. He was internally bleeding. I showed up to comfort her and be there for, what we all know is, a traumatic event. She was in a recovery room which also doubled as the nurse station, I can only assume.
My mother was on the floor crying into the caged space they had him in. There was a large dog recovering from surgery who looked med-dazed but also perturbed by what was happening 3 feet from his resting area. There were staff coming and going nearby, with no privacy. Once they knew she was euthanizing him, why they weren't put in a private room is beyond me.
Ultimately she sat on a stool with him awkwardly in her lap in his bed while they did it. It all felt very unprofessional and utterly uncompassionate given we were not in a space where she could mourn and say goodbye. The dog recovering in that room obviously felt the distress, which can't be good for them. I sincerely hope this was an odd case but, needless to say, we won't ever return.

If you plan to schedule anything from them, make sure you have all a physical paper to prove that. DO NOT rely on them over the phone! Dont tell lies, we send you all the documents needed and you gave us the assurance over the phone. nevertheless please DO NOT give your assurance over the phone if you cannot keep it.

I have been with this clinic and Dr. Teresa for three dogs and starting with my 4th over a period of 25 years or so. The clinic staff is always very knowledgeable and responsive. Dr. T. is an outstanding diagnostician and is very good about explaining treatment and expectations. I trust her implicitly with my dogs' well-being.

Dr Teresa is known in our home as "Mother Teresa" after she saved our Dalmatian's life twice. Once by find a prescription to kill an obscure parasite and again with emergency bladder surgery. She and her team operated late into the night to save our Smokey's life. Smokey gave us 14 years. Thank goodness for Dr Teresa. the most talented, determined, pet-loving Vet one could ever hope to find.

We took our puppy to Dr. Teresa from the very beginning so I cannot really compare them to other vets, but we have been happy so far. She takes the time to explain everything to us and it seems like she really keeps up with the latest research. I also love the fact that she responds via text and email as well. That is fantastic and it gives me great peace of mind to know that I don't have to take Neo in for a visit for every tiny thing.
As for pricing, we have taken Neo for general visits but also a couple of emergencies. Some of the times (there was an x-ray needed) we were a bit surprised by the final amount which was more than we had anticipated but again, I have no point of comparison. When we had him neutered though, the cost was extremely reasonable and I can say that because I had called several other vets in the area and all their estimates were much higher. Every one at the office is super nice and responsive. All in all, would recommend!

I can't say enough about this office. I travel an hour to take my dog here because of the outstanding care and the office's availability to take short notice appointments when you really need to get your dog seen. My dog had a serious grooming accident as a puppy and the office got me an appointment within the hour. My dog was cared for for over 4 hours into the evening and I had detailed instructions to go home with as well as a follow up appointment the next morning.
My dog has since then had a couple scares (sprained leg, bee sting in the eyelid) and I've been able to get him in either next day or that week. You can also sign up for emails to let you know when vet services are due for your pet and they have online scheduling for appointments.

There could never be enough stars! My family has been taking their pets to the Animal Hospitable since I was in the second grade. I'll be 33 in a few months. (I think that sends a message right there.) Over that time we have had excellent routine care, surgeries and advice but also have come in with complicated issues including hip dysplasia, eye trauma, cancer and neurological issues, always getting world class care.
When I bring my dogs in for an appointment or drop them off for surgery, I know that they are in compassionate, clinically competent hands. I could never take my girls anywhere else!

My cat, now 6, has been under Dr. Teresa's care since I adopted him at 1 1/2 years; he has, thankfully, not required any but routine care, but that has always been delivered with obvious concern and attention to detail. I am confident that the doctor and her staff would be more than up to the challenge should the need for emergency care arise. As a first-time cat owner after many years of raising and loving my miniature dachshunds, I have used the services of several veterinarians; Animal Hospitable ranks right there with my favorite and I bless the day I found them after the distance to travel for pet care became a burden and I had to locate a vet closer to home. Thank you all for being there!
