Preventing dangerous diseases for your feline is an important part of being a responsible cat owner. When it comes to which vaccinations to get, and when, we are happy to answer any questions you have about what's right for your pet. Our veterinarians will work with you to put together a vaccine schedule for your cat, which may include some of the vaccines listed below:.
As part of the care for your cat or dog, we will work with you to put together a disease prevention schedule for your pet, which will include a series of vaccinations and vaccine boosters that are typically administered by a veterinary assistant. If left untreated, heartworms can prove fatal for a dog, therefore we strongly recommend that your dog have an annual heartworm check, combined with regular preventive treatments.
Craig's ability to diagnose problems and communicate to the owner options for treatment is excellent. Craig correctly diagnosed IBS on our 1st visit and, following his instructions, our dog quickly returned to excellent health.
In most cases your pet will go home the same day as his surgery. You can plan on picking him/her up between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, or as instructed by the veterinarian. Post-surgical pain control is important to us, and we will provide your pet with everything he/she needs for a successful and pain-controlled recovery.

Mt Tabor Animal Hospital immediately treated my dog's bitten ear with surgery. I'm relieved that with the medication they provided, my dog is recovering nicely. Mt Tabor is an excellent emergency Hospital for dogs

After 3 years with Mt Tabor I am moving my dogs to another vet clinic. Our first experience with them was great, they were wonderful with our newfie who needed TPLO surgery, referred us to an amazing specialist in Raleigh. Since then everything has gone downhill. I was giving my dogs their HW pill and realized they'd sold us Interseptor for a teeny dog, I asked about returning it and was told we were supposed to be giving our largest dog both the large dog Interceptor plus the teeny dog pill each month.

No one told us that! I could go on and on with issues with the front desk, Instead I am quietly leaving Mt Tabor and moving to a more reputable vet. BTW, a friend's daughter worked at Mt Tabor Boarding and quit because it was filthy, dogs left with feces in their kennels, etc

We recently changed vets for our 3 dogs. After being with a different vet for over 11 years this was not a hasty decision but definitely the right one. We have received better, more thorough care, and at a lower cost. A win-win in my book! Update: We have now been at Mt Tabor Animal Hospital for 3 years and they continue to exceed expectations and deliver top notch care for our dogs!

Dr. Kristi Mason continually surpasses what is expected of a DVM. Our dog is extremely difficult, (even potentially dangerous at times). In every circumstance, Dr. Mason is knowledgeable, calm, extremely understanding, and will do anything necessary to make him feel safe.

Fantastic Veterinarians and staff. My elderly dog became very sick over the Fourth of July- took him to the closest veterinarian (not Mt Tabor) was charged excessive emergency fees- only for the Vet to tell us he could not find a problem. Sent him home on strong pain medication that made his issues much worse. Fast forward to today- brought him to see Dr.B.

She listened to his heart and knew right away there was a serious problem. After an EKG and ultrasound we found out he has fluid around his heart and his cancer has most likely returned. Not the diagnosis I wanted but now we have an answer. We were also not rushed nor charged outrageous fees. Mount Tabor is a drive for me but I will gladly do it to take my dogs to them.

Our cat got sick very quickly. Kristi and the staff squeezed "Chuck" in the same day for us. Kristi was able to tell just from a physical therapist exam (in our car I might add), what was wrong with our kitty. The staff is full of empathy and compassion. I've seen many vets over the years and the this is by far my new go to for all of my babies.

We've moved around the last few years, and I've had good experiences with multiple vets in different states. This was not one of them. For context, my dog had developed fatty tumors; one had been checked previously but I'd found another one in a more worrisome location. When I called to schedule the appt, they couldn't get me in for over a week. They asked about my last two vet visits to pull her records, and I provided the vet's info.

They told me I cannot enter the facility and that it's curbside only; they'd take my dog inside for the exam. Over a week to see a pet with potential problems and that I couldn't go inside (almost 2/3 of the state is vaccinated by now) seemed a bit much, but the day of the appointment was the real issue: 1) I arrived early (as requested) but sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes before anyone came out 2) when they finally did come out, they told me they'd only pulled her most recent vet visit and, unless I could provide proof of vaccination on the spot, I'd have to pay to get her shots again 3) there was no option to just check her tumors without vaccinations I would have been happy to help them collect her records if they had notified me prior to the appointment time, but to demand them on the spot after I'd been waiting half an hour-with the alternative being pay for her to be re-vaccinated-was not professional. They offered for me to re-schedule. No apologies were made. I'd taken time off work, and my dog has still not been looked at. 10/10 would not recommend.

Awesome team here. They are very friendly and treat our little ones like family. Prices are very reasonable and fair. They don't push unnecessary treatments and procedures on your pet, unlike other big chain vets.

My Tabor. Cat/Dog is a hometown staple for veterinary medicine and care. I have found them to always be clean polite and prompt. If any of the medications are a little rich for your budget they do their best to accommodate you with a generic at a better price so your animal will not do without. They truly care for the animals they see day in and day out.

These are the best people in the world! My whole family has taken our pets to Mt. Tabor Vet since I was a kid and for the past 14 years I have taken my own. I have brought in countless fosters and abused rescues, with varying degrees of trust issues. They have loved and been kind to every single one of them, even when it wasn’t easy (like Bobby, in the attached picture). I’m so grateful for a group that understands the temperament of rescues and loves them despite their occasional dramatic reactions.

My husband and I usually go to Animal Ark in Clemons for our fur-babies, however, we have been searching for a vet closer to our residence just in case of emergencies. Today, one of my dogs inhaled a rawhide alternative and began acting very peculiar which prompted me to rush him to the closest vet which was Mt Tabor. We were fortunate to have met with very understanding and prompt staff as well as fellow pet parents in the lobby.

After meeting with Dr. Katherine Miller Teuschler, DVM, whom treated my dog and family so well, I am delighted to say we have found a new vet much closer to our residence. We look forward to our next visit!
