Just Cats Veterinary Services was founded to be a compassionate patient advocate and resource of latest knowledge on health and wellness for felines of all life stages. JCVS has built a team that has dedicated themselves to being the support system for the felines we encounter as well as for the clients who have chosen to embrace responsibility for these amazing creatures.
Services
Because of the shorter lifespan of our cats, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help identify health problems before they become too serious. We offer a wide range of preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to keep your cats feeling their best!
Dr. Cynthia McManis received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1985. She developed her interest in cats during her first year post-graduation. Little was known about cats at this time and they were treated like small dogs. She began to actively pursue more education and information regarding feline health care and joined the Academy of Feline Medicine in 1989.
Jen has worked various jobs in the veterinary industry since 1998. She graduated from Suffolk County Community College in New York with an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 2004 and obtained her LVT status in NY in early 2005. Jen then furthered her education and graduated from Cornell University with a B.S in Animal Sciences in 2006.
O'Malley came to us in 2011 as a stray. After several attempts to find his home, we decided to keep him since our previous clinic cat, Mommy, had been retired from service. O'Malley has had the opportunity to save a few kitty lives by donating his blood but you will find him most days laying on the cat tree in the reception area or in one of his many cat beds located around the clinic. I am not sure why just cats does NOT have five stars? I would give them a million stars if I could. First Mister O'Malley was the best greeter ever :) second Rhonda was amazing when contacting me to set greys initial surgery. Long story short I had a terrible experience with another place and honestly I'm glad. Because this allowed me (or my vet) to find such a great place!
The staff was AMAZING (sorry i forgot the vet tech who was in my initial consultations name but she was a super star!) the vet tech just put me at ease immediately. I'm super picky with my pets and I ABSOLUTELY NEED people that care because my animals deserve the best. She allowed grey to do what ever he wanted (he wanted to sit the the cabinet but it's not allowed at home) which made him super comfy.
I was in tears when I had to leave him over night but she reassured me that he will be well cared for. Which he was. Then there is Dr. McManis. I don't even have the words to express how grateful I am. She went above and beyond to make sure I fully understood the surgery grey would need. She was up front but delivered the information in a way that put me at ease.
She listened to my concerns and answered all questions I had. Post surgery she followed up via phone and she walked me step by step through the procedure. Again I can't even express how grateful I am. Most importantly I know grey is so grateful and can now live a more comfy life. It's hard for me to trust anyone with my pets but hands down I would recommend just cats for anyone looking for a great vet and staff that truly cares. this place was the total opposite from the last place I had visited. Grey was priority. Period.
I would recommend this place to anyone hands down and without a doubt. Anyone I know or any person I meet that has a cat will definitely hear about this place. Great job Just Cats! You guys are rockstars!

Dr. McManis, Kinsey, and Jen are AMAZING. I've never seen this level of care and compassion toward taking care of my cats until now. They all had the knowledge and expertise needed to administer treatment and explain everything that was happening during the visit. They also helped make a plan for going forward, and put me at ease with my own worries. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done to serve my family.

They should rename this place "Just Money". I tried to speak to someone over the phone about a couple of preliminary questions I had to ask before choosing the right place to care for my cat. They simply told me they won't answer anything without a 150$ appointment. The lady was pretty rude over the phone. She answered, and immediately started talking about money.
I told her money (the price) was not my concern. I love my animals, have a well paying job, you can not put a price tag on that. Obviously this place is not into the business to make happy customers. Strictly about a dollar.

Had a great first experience at Just Cats with my FIV+ cat. They didn't make me wait a long time like most vets I've been to, they were very friendly and explained everything in a way I could understand. They were good to my cat and gave her time to calm down when she was getting fed up with all the tests and shots she needed instead of pushing through and upsetting her just to save time. I can recommend this vet for anyone that needs to bring their cat in for an appointment. I will be returning here for my next feline vet visit.
