Services
Homeopathy is at the center of our treatment focus at Holistic Care for Animals. A system of medicine over 200 years old, homeopathy stimulates the body to heal itself. Homeopathic medicines, called remedies, are derived from natural sources. If a large dose of the raw material were given to a healthy individual, their effect would create an illness similar to that which the corresponding homeopathic remedy would help to correct or heal.
When a human goes to a medical doctor with a health problem, he or she can communicate symptoms directly to the practitioner. With your animal, you are the vital link in this communication. Since holistic treatment deals with specific remedies for specific symptoms, this input from you becomes even more critical.
Our practice philosophy is to be of service and to engage with the client in a team approach to the wellness of their companion animal. This requires an understanding of the expectations and belief systems of the client, as well as an assessment of the animal's health needs. We are committed to providing you and your animal with our best effort during the healing process.
Caring for companion animals is our primary concern at Holistic Care for Animals. We also understand how important it is for you to know how much treatment will cost and when payment is due. Our experience has show us that by addressing these questions early in the process clients can more easily plan within these parameters.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Jan. She is so committed to caring for my beloved pup, and I love how passionate she is about her work and how kind she is too. She's one of those vets that wants to be sure you as the owner are educated, which I very much appreciate. She's successfully helped my dog through various ailments, from skin issues to tummy troubles to a back injury as well. I'm so grateful to her and will continue to recommend her to all the dog parents out there!

Dr Jan is an awesome homeopathic vet and she really helped my boy who had autoimmune neutropenia. Within months his #s were back in the range he was supposed to be in. This trip I took my new puppy and he had some anger issues she is treating him for. I'm excited to see the outcome! She's a caring doctor / person and Bettina the office manager is awesome too!

I have never seen or experienced a veterinarian as good with animals as Dr Jan! I have had a lot of animals, and over the last 20 years have seen many veterinarians in many states, but none as experienced with animals as Dr Jan! For the first time, I am not scared to bring my cat to the veterinarian. She does most, if not all her assessments and treatments in the same room with the pet parent, and that is the way it should be!

This has been the ONLY actual holistic vet that I've been able to find in the Denver area. The rest all say that they are holistic but offer up no actual holistic treatments aside from acupuncture. This place is amazing, it's an old house so it's the only time my dog hasn't acted scared at a vet. The woman who owns the place is so wonderful and full of information and so helpful when it comes to taking a look at improving the actual problem and not just offering up a bunch of pills you could take. We noticed almost immediate changes in our dogs health and behaviour. We will use her as our primary vet from now on, we just adore her!

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Jan. My pup has been struggling with a couple minor medical issues, but even with something minor, she has been so loving, caring and helpful. We've spoken almost every day on the phone about my little guys progress and to be sure his treatment is going in the right direction. There is no better holistic vet in Denver.

Dr. Jan is the best vet and genuinely cares for all her patients wellbeing. Besides being a great family friend throughout the years, it is a comfort to know there is someone who I trust wholeheartedly should my animals need attending too. My pets are never scared when going to her clinic as the room is decorated like a comfortable living room; my pets feel right at home and relaxed. If you're looking for a great vet, look no further!

I've known Jan literally my entire life. My mother used to work for her here, and still does occasional house calls. Not only is Jan one of the most caring people I've ever known when it comes to people and animals, but she is also very knowledgeable and well-practiced. She has done so much for my pets and every other animal that comes through her door. I would recommend her and this clinic to anyone.

I have been taking my pets to Jan for several years. She does a great job and obviously cares about the animals under her care as well as the people that bring them in. I have had instances when one of my dogs required a procedure that could not be done in her office and she always provided me with a referral to another vet. I have never been disappointed in her services.
