Farms Veterinary Clinic The Veterinary Scholarship Trust of New England is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to New Englanders studying veterinary medicine. Founded in 1958 through the foresight and generosity of the late Dr. Cornelius Thibeault, the fund has helped to support over 500 veterinary students with their educational expenses.

This aid is made possible by the support of individual veterinarians, various state veterinary associations, the New England Veterinary Medical Association, canine and equine groups, memorial gifts, rabies clinics and other generous individuals.

Scholarships are awarded the following Spring. We are currently accepting applications from Final year (4th year of 4 year programs or 5th year of 5 year programs) veterinary students for the VSTONE Scholar Awards. Each year we will select a Final year Veterinary student from each of the 6 New England States to receive a $5000 VSTONE Scholar Award.
The Joel M. Woolfson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2016 by his colleagues, family and friends to honor and preserve the memory of a truly amazing veterinarian, dedicated surgeon, mentor to all who knew him and humanitarian. We tragically lost Joel to suicide in the fall of 2015. This endowed scholarship is intended to honor his life and legacy, but also serves to shine a light on the alarming statistics regarding the high rate of suicide in the veterinary profession.Joel was a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Veterinarians and veterinary clinics that make a $50.00 donation to VSTONE can receive 10 pet memorial cards. These 4" x 6" cards are keepsake quality with "Eyes on the Future" on the front. Individuals that make a $50.00 donation to VSTONE can receive 20 note cards with envelopes. These 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" note cards are blank inside with "Eyes on the Future" on the front.
VSTONE celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008. This art has helped us raise funds and also raise the awareness of the need for increased veterinary and public support for better health in our region and in the world. Robin Truelove Stronk, DVM is a 1975 graduate of NY State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell.
