In addition, we offer a wide range of advanced diagnostic procedures such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy.

We provide a broad spectrum of animal health services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, tips on training your puppy/kitten, spay/neuter programs as well as a range of advanced diagnostic, medical, surgical and geriatric care. Our knowledgeable and helpful staff is eager to assist you throughout your pet's lifetime.
What is your favorite part about your job? I love solving difficult medical problems and helping sick patients through ultrasound and endoscopy. Why do my dogs seek out and voluntarily roll and cover themselves in the most putrid trash, waste and smells they can find? I worked at the New England Aquarium before Veterinary school in the veterinary department as a biologist.

AVH has really been there for us over the last 2 years. Both regularly scheduled appointments and plenty of same-day appointments (ear infections, skin infections, why is my dog limping, my dog just ate something weird., etc). And then I've probably had over 50 refills on their medications which has always been easy and fast. I've even had strange requests like, "hey my dog just had leg surgery, can someone come out to the car to check the stitches because he can't move, " and they were accommodating. I'd be the worst customer in the world if I didn't give them 5 stars.

My Billy had his year old check up Dr Cronin and Cole. They were so kind and gentle with him. He didn't even flinch when the Dr drew blood. He was happy when he went in, and came out happy.especially, after the many treats he got. The Dr answered my questions, and I had full confidence that Billy received excellent care.

The staff at Atlantic vet are extremely passionate and professional people who are genuinely caring about your pets and it's such a pleasure to know the people that you trust your loved ones with are that compassionate and that caring, my cat recently passed away and they just handled everything extremely professional and just made me feel a lot better about the situation and I just want to thank everybody in that building you're an amazing group of people and keep doing what you're doing because you're making this town a better place to live, thank you so much Pumpkin's Father!

I moved to Marblehead after living in NYC for 25 years, thinking I had the best vets there. I was blow away by the talent at Atlantic. A chronic condition my 15 year old dog had in Nyc was treated as something entirely different and helped so much. Then, at nearly 18, she had to cross the rainbow bridge and Dr. Reilly came to my home and made it more bearable and dare I say, beautiful.
I now have three new pups and part of what I love about Atlantic is I'm fine with ANY of the doctors there treating them. That's the kind of confidence I have in their care. I feel so lucky.

The facility is beautiful, and all of the staff is top-notch. When I moved to the North Shore, my previous vet recommended Dr. Rockwell specifically because my dog was diagnosed with severe kidney issues at age five, and under Dr. Rockwell's care he lived to age fourteen! I have had different Drs, taking care of the dog that I have now (who is currently 10), and the care has continued to be wonderful.

Love these guys! Clean space, friendly staff, and quality care. Our cat Newton can be a jerk & quick to bite but I've been told he always does well here--that tells me they're doing something right for sure. Early in the pandemic when you were not allowed to go inside the building, the doctor would come out and debrief with you after an appointment and that always felt very personal and thoughtful to me. I'm happy to trust these guys with my pets!

We are absolutely in love with Dr. Story. He takes care of our girls with such compassion and love. He never pressures us into doing any service or treatment we're not comfortable with which is so important in a Vet - our dogs best interest is at the core of his guidance, not money. He has carried us through a very difficult diagnosis and helped guide us to make the best possible decision for our girl at an extremely vulnerable time for our family. We are SO pleased with his care and hope he never leaves!

We have been going to Atlantic Vet. for over 20 years with both of our dogs combined. We have always felt like personal friends of the Doctors, Nurses and staff. I highly recommend this practice as it is incredibly professional but personable and friendly at the same time. I know our fur babies are in good care and completely safe in their hands. I thoroughly trust them and Dr. Rockwell, Dr.
Story and his nurse have been incredibly thorough, especially in a particular time of crisis with one of our dogs. I feel like they genuinely love her and that is so incredibly valuable. I wouldn't go any place else with my 4 legged family member/s.
