Dr. James Burns has been serving the needs of Montgomery County MD pets and their owners for over 35 years. When James Burns was a child, a neighbor asked him where the nearest veterinarian was. His reply was, "What is a veterinarian?" The neighbor told him that they were the people who took special care of animals and the rest is history.Having an animal in your home can be a very satisfying and rewarding experience. Pets have been a part of man's society throughout history; and they can provide security and companionship for people of any age, any sex, whether living alone or in a family environment.

I was disappointed in hindsight due to their overall ability to diagnose cataracts and diabetes while seeing the doctor two to three times a year. In December 2021, I had to put my 15 year old dog down rather then see her suffer. Their vet went through so many different procedures that were unnecessary. In my 60 years of dog ownership I had never seeing a doctor do the unnecessary procedures that we're done at flower valley veterinarian. I walked away truly believing I have been milked like a cow during the entire life of my dog therefore I say beware.

Came here because my dog was behind on his shots and I needed to find my dog a local vet in olney instead of randomly going to any vet. The staff was great at handling my very skiddish 80lb lab and brought him back with a smile on his face. The Dr also took time to go over my dogs health after the visit. Pricing was also very fair, especially for this area. Definitely will be bringing my dog here going forward

Our family did our best to have faith in this clinic, but not only did they tell us that our pet lost 10 lbs when he actually did not, but also became very defensive when we asked for a prescription to buy pet food from another source. They wouldn't say no if you ask for it, but you can see from their reaction that they are uncooperative, and they call this their policy.
Prescription issues happen every time we ask for it. They also charge you $60 for phone calls, but they don't tell you this while you are on the phone. They are not bad people, but not sure if we can trust them.

This place is amazing. Dr. Burns and all of the staff members are so helpful and genuine. They never make me feel any type of way when i have 100 questions to ask, i never feel rushed. This is the 4th veterinary clinic I've taken my dog too in Montgomery County because the other places were trash and over-priced in my opinion. But this place is a WINNER.
