Services
Our computerized appointment system allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Client Service Representatives will do their best to accommodate all requests. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us (845) 634-4607.
We have a full on site laboratory that can run complete blood counts, chemistry panels, cortisol, thyroid, urinalysis and cytology evaluations within minutes. This facilitates diagnosis and therapy. Our in house laboratory is supported by a veterinary reference laboratory. We commonly send our clients digital copies of laboratory results along with an explanation of these via email in a timely manner.
We are happy to keep an eye on your pet when you are away. We administer prescribed medications at no additional charge. However, if your pet is diabetic, we do charge extra for monitoring their sugar and administering medication as needed. The veterinary staff is available to consult should the need arise.

To Dr. Weiner, Dr. Neiman and the Staff of County Animal Hospital, My husband came into your office today with our new addition, Beau, an 8 week old Golden. (We lost our three senior dogs in the past year.) The house is filled with sadness. Beau was seen by Dr. Neiman. I had the pleasure of speaking with her via phone during the visit. I wanted to tell you that we both absolutely love her!
So did Beau! Dr. Neiman was warm and caring and explained vaccinations needed and recommendations for flea/tick/heartworm prevention along with answering questions about Beau's feeding. My other dogs are/were small breeds. Your office staff are wonderful as well. I look forward to along relationship with everyone at County Animal Hospital! Thank you again!

Dr. Weiner and his team were exceptional in every way! Dr. Weiner's knowledge coupled with his excellent bedside manner are everything one would want in a vet! Dr. Weiner not only thoroughly examined our cat and carefully reviewed her records, but he also took the time to explain her conditions and the reasons behind her treatment plan. We are so grateful that we now have a vet with vast experience who takes time to care for the pet and her family!

My mom was in a bind. She was unable to drive all the way to her regular vet to pick up fluids for her 18 year old cat with kidney failure. I'm in California or I'd have driven over there. We wanted to see if someone closer to home would sell her the fluids - without seeing the cat. We hoped we could have her regular vet provide a prescription.
We called several local veterinary clinics. We got a lot of recorded messages, and spoke to one guy who was not enthusiastic about helping. I finally tried County Animal Hospital and Wendy answered the phone. She was sympathetic and seemed genuinely interested in helping us. She spoke to Dr. Wiener and we were able to work something out. My mom was able to get the fluids and take care of her kitty. Wendy really went out of her way to help. You can tell when someone actually cares. We were so grateful!

Loved this place. My baby Weimereiner girl is very frightened of all strangers. They had so much patience. They were so sweet to her petting her, giving her treats and they gave her the time she needed to calm down and warm up to them. She didn't even notice when they gave her shots! So happy I came here. I highly recommend this place,

Dr Robert Weiner and his amazing staff have been caring for our kids since we moved to Rockland County in 2001. He has cared for our cats, dogs, and African grey parrots. We could not ask for better treatment and care of our kids and completely trust that they will get the best care from Dr Bob. In the very rare occasions that a kid presents with a need outside of Dr Bob's scope of practice, he does not hesitate to point us to the best professional to do the job.

I have been going to Dr. Weiner for 20 years with both of my GSD. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable in his field and an incredibly compassionate and kind person. His staff is very responsive and very nice to work with. If you are looking for a new Vet you can be assured that you can trust your pet is in great care with Dr. Weiner and staff!

The staff and doctors make you feel like family. They truly care about your pet and it shows. The docs themselves are very accessible by phone, email and even an app that lets you face time them! My dog had gone to another local vet office for 8 years and I'm so happy I switched! The care my dog receives here is top notch! Thank you County Animal Hospital!

All members of my family have taken our total of 7 dogs to Dr Weiner since the late 90's and we could not be happier with his compassion, willingness to take time to explain what's going on and help us make the right decisions for our pups, and general knowledgeability and expertise. He has guided us through cancer and the heartbreak of putting a love to sleep, teeth cleaning, bladder stones, and herniated vertebral discs as well as all the more usual vaccines, diarrhea, and eye infections.
The practice will always find a way to fit us in in an emergency and every single staff member feels like a gift. The way they handle our pups and go above and beyond (even just helping cut off solid eye gunk). We are so grateful for this practice.

Dr. Rothstein and Dr. Weiner take such good care of my dogs every time we bring them here. They're both so thorough and patient with the both of them and I'm very happy with the care they get from County Animal Hospital! As well as the wonderful vet techs and receptionists that are also so attentive and sweet to them every time they come in! Thank you all for creating such a wonderful, loving, safe, and welcoming environment for our dogs!

Great place. Both of the vets there are wonderful vets and wonderful people---which has clearly rubbed off on their office staff and vet techs, because they're all so nice, too. I recently moved, but when I was taking my cat there, they were very interested in getting to the bottom of his issues, but without doing unnecessary tests/procedures.
Their prices are fair, and if they don't think it's necessary to get a certain test done, or if it's going to be pricey, they'll tell you up front and leave the decision up to you, no pressure. They involve you in decisions. A lot of vets do not do that. I miss them!

I recently took my 10 yr old Jack Russell Terrier Homer to see Dr Susan Rothstein. Homer had a few tumors that looked suspicious to me. I had researched animal hospitals from New city ny to Oradel nj. I.was frustrated. It looked like most Vets only cared about money. What about homer. So after reading only good reviews. I decided to take homer to County Animal hospital. Dr Rothstein carefully examined Homer.
She biopsied each tumor and decided they had to come out. I read about MastCell tumors. They can easily matastize. They were taken out by Dr Rothstein. Homer is now cancer free. Dr Rothstein saved Homers life. The fees are fair. So if you love your pet take them to Couny Animal hospital in New City N.Y.You will be glad you did. Louise Armstrong R.N.
