My 12 year lab Shelly was dying of cancer and they are very caring always . They let us stay with her when they were putting her down . The staff is always nice, caring and compassionate . May god bless all of the staff, the doctors, n my dog shelly

Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Bardari today and had Amy as my vet tech. They are absolutely amazing and took great care of my little Muki. They were super nice, patient, and gentle. I have never seen my cat so calm. They performed a full wellness exam, clipped nails, and of course showed my baby so much love. They answered all my questions and gave me good info on purchasing pet insurance which is soo important!

They are animal whisperers! So thankful for them! Claire and Laura at the front desk are so warm and welcoming with smiles and great energy! So grateful for Animal Medical of New City, top of the line care! Shoutout to the entire staff as well! 100% recommend!

I had an emergency with my 9 month old kitty and Animal Medical of New City took us in for immediate help with a moment's notice even though I had no appointment, was a first-time patient, and they were 1 hour from closing. Their care and expertise reveals just how much they love animals and what they do. Thank you Dr. Gittelman for continuing to check-in and provide help to my kitten even after being transferred over to another emergency animal hospital!

Overall they take very good care of my family's animals. We've been seeing them for a long time and they are really careful and awesome people. Some doctors are better than others, as you would find at any practice and that is up to you to decide. They are great.

We have been using Animal Medical of New City for 10 years and everyone is always loving, caring and professional. Dr. Gittelman is patient and loving with my Bear. He is a great vet and you can tell he truly loved animals.

Animal Medical of New City is amazing. Everyone in the vets office is caring, understanding and amazing, Dr. Badari is my favorite Vet. I am so glad we found her and followed her over to New City. My dog was neutered & had dental surgery here years ago when I adopted him from Hi Tor. I don't live in the area anymore but I always remembered it being really nice. Yesterday my mom took her dog who hadn't been eating (who does live in Rockland) to a different vet and after a 5 minute appointment was told this was "the end of the line" for her.

I immediately called Animal Medical of new city to see if they could Squeeze my mom and her dog in for a last minute appointment for a second opinion. They took her a few hours later and spent over an hour and half with my mom and her dog to get to the root of the problem. The whole time they were incredibly sweet to both my mom and the dog and made sure the dog was comfortable.

It turns out that while the original vet was recommending to put the dog down due to intense dental issues, the vet at animal medical found that she has a gash in her cheek thats making it painful for her to eat! They are doing further tests but my mom is so happy to know that no matter what, she will know this place did everything they could for her dog. When I move back to rockland in a few months I will absolutely be taking my dog to animal medical.

I brought my golden who has been a part of my family here for 11+years. They treated him with such love and compassion. as if he had been a part of their family for 11years. even though they only just met him. Dr. Bardari is a sincere, compassionate, kind and educated veterinarian. The staff here is beyond supportive. With my heart heavy with such sadness I had to say goodbye to my beloved friend and the Dr. and staff went above and beyond to make this painful process as comfortable as they possibly could.

They even took the time to send a handwritten, touching sympathy card. I have never experienced this type of care from a veterinarian's office. Many praises to them for the Doctors they are and the caring staff they employ. Thank you to all. Trust you can bring your furry family friends here. you are in good hands.

I brought my dog Moose here when he was very ill due to ingesting a peach pit. Dr. Gittelman, Dr. Badari, and their amazing staff performed exploratory surgery on Moose, removing part of his intestines as well as the peach pit that was stuck inside. Every member of the team at Animal Medical fought for Moose's life during the several weeks of his recovery.

They treated him as they would a human being, and I am forever thankful. It's now been a month since Moose has been home and he has returned to his healthy and happy self! I wouldn't waste your time taking your beloved pet anywhere else, you'll never find the type of compassion and quality treatment this practice has.

Been going for over 17 years now. Our beloved Bijon, Becky, recently passed away and Dr G and staff showed so much compassion. It was a heart felt loss to them also as they took wonderful care of her from her first day. Now we have a brand new Havanese, Bella, and we can rest assured she's in great hands with Dr G and his team.

Brought my dog here for a leg injury. Dr. Gittleman is a consummate professional. He spent a long time examining my dog, talking to me about his diagnosis and surgical procedures. He illustrated with an anatomic model of a dog's knee joint to allow me to have a better understanding of this type of injury. He answered all questions and concerns. The staff is very warm and compassionate and obviously dedicated to their work. Top notch!

Dr. Gittelman and the staff have been taking care of my pet companions for over 20 years - and I trust them implicitly. What I appreciate most is that they combine extensive medical knowledge with compassion for the animals and the humans. They know and remember my pets. They are as committed to their well-being as I am. Glad that Animal Medical now offers alternative treatments like acupuncture as well as traditional. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Highly recommend them.

After a few bad experiences with vets closer to my home in Westchester, a coworker recommended Animal Medical of New City. While I was not thrilled about driving 30 minutes with whining cats to get here, I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the facility and the care with which we were treated by staff. Dr. Gittleman exudes competence and professionalism.

He is also one of the few vets that I have met that actually listens rather than lectures. Pricing is reasonable for the area, and they do not try to push unnecessary treatments and procedures on you. We have now been coming here for several years, and we are quite happy to make the trip. Well, my husband and I are, anyway. The cats still aren't crazy about the ride.

I started using Animal Medical of New City, when I got my new puppy this year. I'm an experienced dog owner, so I was skeptical at first. From day one, I felt my baby was in great hands with Dr. Gittelman and his wonderful staff. They are all caring and knowledgable. I was concerned the neutering would be overpriced, but not in the least. The fee was very reasonable.

The minimum and maximum was explained to me beforehand and it was all very upfront. I couldn't be happier with my choice of veterinary offices. I believe my puppy would agree!

I absolutely love this animal hospital. After a bad experience with my previous vet when I got my new puppy I knew I had to find somewhere I trusted to take care of my pet. I shopped ALL around rockland county, on the recommendations of friends at all different vets. No one was better then Animal Medical. They don't nickel and dime you for unneeded procedures, they are up front, honest, and truly care about your animal, and not just your bill. Dr. Gittleman and all the vet's assistants we have seen have been compassionate, friendly, and know what they are doing.

Where my old vet had "handlers" to come manhandle my 20 pound dog, Animal Medical is caring enough that my puppy is not afraid to go! In fact she seems to enjoy herself and the attention she gets there! I will be sticking with Animal Medical for my current dog and all pets to come!

I have used Animal Medical for the last 20 years. That's a long time with no complaints. I have three dogs and the drs have all been terrific and really acomodating. Calling after hours etc.to help me. I If you are questioning their fees, DON'T you get what you pay for

I went to Animal Hospital New City with my cat. Dr Howard Gittelman is best Vet ever. My cat is doing great and on a special diet, she is not having any more problems now that she is on the right food.

When I got home from work I found Chili (our cat) sick in the kitchen. We immediately took her to Animal Medical Clinic. They did tests and assured us that our cat had eaten something that irritated her stomach and that the condition was not life threatening. We got meds for her and by the next night she was fine. I was very nervous about taking my rabbit to the vet. The doctors at Animal Medical in New City were very friendly and knowledgeable about rabbits and talked to me before and after the visit so I was comfortable bringing her in for care. Thank you.

I went to Animal Medical in New City after my dog was hit by a car and broke his leg. I am very thankful to Animal Medical for helping Bear through his injury, recover and physical therapy. He is back to his old self and we have a new dog fence!

Animal Medical is the worse place to take your pet. We have had very bad experiences with them.

I recommend them without qualification These guys are great. I've taken my cats to them for the past 10 years and they are professional, responsible, smart, thorough, clean and I trust them completely with my pet's care. I also never got the feeling I was ever taken advantage of financially from them. Ive gotten that feeling at other Vets in the past. Everyone who works there, that Ive come into contact with, has been very nice. I really get the impression they are really knowledgeable.
