GREAT staff. I brought them a bunny I bought from Rural King (horrible place too) to seek care after we had one pass away that morning. They gave great care and concern for the little guy and even got him to perk up for a little bit and got meds and food for him. They were just as upset if not more than I was due to the condition of the bunny and the fact it seemed to be taken from its mom and sold at maybe 2-3 weeks old. Highly recommend this place and I will def be taking my next bunny (which will come from a breeder) to them and any future pets as well. Thank you all!

Used to recommend this vet to everyone. However, my confidence in them has dwindled since it's hard to get a same day or even next day appt when your pet is seriously sick. For routine, sure they are good. Your pet gets sick and needs to be seen - they say screw you! My dog was very sick and they couldn't my dog me for a week (thanks) Ended up taking her to shively animal clinic but the medicine they gave wasn't helping and I knew it was time to end her suffering.
Again called Finchville to see about getting a Euthanasia appt and got no help. Ended up taking her back to shively animal hospital and the drive took so much out of her that she died as I carried her in to their office.

I've had occasion to visit this veterinary clinic over the years as a volunteer with greyhound adoption but never with one of my own. Dr. Rexroad and staff were wonderful to my Carrie and me when we went in for a second opinion. We were given reassurance after a thorough exam, plus literature to reinforce the clean bill of health. I wish we were closer but we will continue to visit for all major areas of concern or any surgeries on my greyhounds. Lovely clinic, also.

I have been a client of Finchville Animal Hospital for over 10 years. The staff is outstanding, caring , and friendly. Dr. Rexroad is outstanding and does a great job with our pets. Never have my family or I had a complaint, and we will continue to use Finchville Animal Hospital for all our small animal veterinary needs. Also, the receptionist, Theresa deserves special recognition for putting up with me for as long as she has!

Took the boys to their new vet and we LOVE Dr. Rexroad! The Finchville Animal Hospital is soooo nice. They have separate rooms for dogs and cats... no sterile tables in the rooms just a nice rug on the floor and she and her assistant get down on the floor WITH the dogs to examine them! My little dog usually growls and snaps while getting examined (which I always attributed to my old vet being being an absolute asshat) and today... none of that!
He wagged his tail, and licked her face!!! And she diagnosed his facial droop as a real thing! When I asked our old vet about it he just shrugged it off and said... "it happens".. what a nunce! Little things like this make me glad I'm here in Kentucky now... My boys are finally getting the kind of care they deserve! I am so grateful!

Even after moving from Taylorsville to Louisville I continue to drive 30 miles to take my cats to see Dr. White at Finchville Animal Hospital because her skill, knowledge, and geniuine interest in the wellbeing of my pets exceeds that of any other veterinarian I have ever encountered. One of my cats has a heart condition and Dr. White's ability to provide onsite diagnostic testing and treatment has been extremely impressive for what appears at first glance to be just a country veterinary practice. I have recommended Finchville Animal Hospital to people and will continue to do so.
