Had a very sick bird with seizures. They gave me medication to give to my bird. Did that for a week, but he got worse all of a sudden. The most hardest weekend spent with my bird. Took him back and she wanted to try another med. We said that we can not do that to him if this one is not going to help. The vet was very understanding and said seizure are hard to treat in a bird. She agreed to put him asleep. They where very kind. I would take another on my birds to them.

I take my cockatiel here for regular care and they were able to get my cockatiel in for an emergency the same day and resolve his issue. It is well equipped and I trust the team's knowledge. They were able to cure my cockatiel of his sickness and also were very professional and understanding. I drive all the way from Corvallis to take him here. This place is awesome!

If ever there was a place that creates miracles, this is it. I was moving across country to the Portland, Oregon area and I could tell my 20 year old cockatiel was going down hill about half way here. I called Avian Medical Center and even though I wasn't an existing patient, they understood how serious this was from my observations and they squeezed him in earlier than normal.
That was the first time they saved his life. He had a hernia and had developed an infection because food wasn't cleanly passing out of his body. They put him on antibiotics to get him healthy before surgery. Long story short he had a couple of challenges because of a good sized bulge that had formed in his intestine where it had pushed itself out through a tear in his abdominal muscle.
Shortly after his hernia surgery and while still at the hospital, he prolapsed that bulge. Seriously, Dr. Lintner had to explain it to me twice as I had trouble visualizing that part of his intestine was now hanging out of his butt. I thought for sure this meant I would lose him -- but they managed to fix that, too, and they saved him a second time!
No surprise that I made numerous trips back and forth to their center for Mr. Bert Bird's visits, and I heard as many other incredible miracle stories from the other bird owners who were there. I think they should change their name from the Avian Medical Center to the Avian Miracle Center.

Month and a half wait time, on a day before appointment rescheduled for another day. At appointment I asked for a doctor to see me before anything was done. Another tech came out and listened to my concerns and told me he's not a doctor. I said what's the point of explaining all to him, can I please see the doctor. Doctor came out and told me I was rude and didn't want to look at my bird. Terrible service and that's not my first time here never was too happy with them. Never coming back!

I decided to choose the Avian Medical Center to use as my Conures regular avian vet. I have visited for check ups and recently had to bring my conure in after being shut in a door. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Litner were AMAZING. I got updates every day on how my conure was doing and if she was making progress. Thank you for getting her in within a reasonable time and saving her life. Very professional and affordable.

Dr lintner is the best avian vet I have been able to find in the portland metro area. She is amazing and I reccomend her to everyone for their pet birds. Shes seen both my cockatiels and one of my doves and everytime shes been able to figure out the problem and help them get back to healthy tip top shape.

Dr. Marli Lintner and her staff is outstanding. I will not take my flock anywhere else. I recently inherited a 3rd parrot with a plucking problem and she took the time to explain the causes behind plucking and we are working on a solution to help this sweet baby. I started bringing my girls to her 9 months ago when I got my first 2. She takes the time to answer any questions we might have and was very informative when I was a new bird owner. It is a little more expensive than a regular vet but she has the experience to justify it and she is the ONLY certified avian vet in the state of Oregon.
