I trust Dr Melanie and team to provide state of the art care for my two Labrador Retrievers. The team here really cares- loving, invested, professional, skilled.

Our pets have been treated at Otterkill for over a decade. All seemed to be fine until this June when following up from a trip to Emergency Care on Route 211, Middletown, NY, Dr Melanie examined my dog and her initial diagnosis was lymphoma. Urgent care MISSED that one and as far as I am concerned so did Otterkill since my dog had an full exam in April with all the blood work and I was informed all was fine. How her health went from fine to stage 4 lymphoma in 2 months seems like a major miss. When I brought this up I was informed that I took good care of my dog who took top notch supplements and was fed human grade food that the vet did not believe this could happen, but it did. I continued with holistic supplements until she passed away on August 6th. That morning I notified Otterkill and DID NOT receive any call or sympathy card or anything, since then. You would think a simple I am sorry about your loss would have been professional and compassionate, BUT NOTHING. My advice please be your vet and advocate.

The staff at Otterkill Animal Hospital was kind and caring during my dog Mabel's visit. They were professional and friendly. Mabel's examination was a very positive experience.

I always feel like they treat my dog Minnie like she is one of their own. Minnie always comes back to me with her tail wagging.

Luna’s first vet appointment went very smooth, Luna loved the staff! Dr. Melanie and Emily answered all of my questions about my new puppy and she is in good hands!

Took off work for appointment. Canceled my appointment 15mins before as I was driving there. This is after they sent me a text saying see you at 5. She knew I took off work for this. Told me I could come next morning at 9:30, which means I would have to take off work again. I wouldn't be upset but they could of called me sooner, not 15 mins before as I was driving. Told them I'll find another vet. Such garbage on their part.

I was very nervous because my dog is not always easy to deal with but everyone was fantastic: kind, patient, and non-judgmental. I will happily go back anytime.

Your services were very professional and well thought out during this pandemic. I like the phone calls to keep us well informed as to what was going on since we, as pet parents, couldn't be there physically. The Dr was caring and well versed in her explanations and asked for our consent to anesthetize, even though it was written on the forms. No mistakes, all explanations in clear and understandable language.

Dr. Melanie is a kind and caring person that takes not only the animal's welfare into consideration but that of their owners. She takes the time to explain all options and steps of your pets recovery. The staff at Otterkill is not only friendly to the owners but build trust and relationships with the pets! This facility would be best served if more charitable organizations and animal interest groups took a more active role in supporting animal hospitals and their customers.

At times people are faced with financial choices that should never have to be made. A pet should never have to suffer because the financial strain of proper care is overwhelming to the owner. This facility is well worth the interest of supporting organizations!

So glad and fortunate to have found our original Doctor now at Otterkill. Very pleased with their property. Enough room to walk your animals and not be in a parking lot. From making our first appointment, going over all our pup's information was a comforting experience. With covid19, we were met outside by Jordan who took her time with Marley's info and was so patient with our questions.

After a full workup and thorough physical Dr. Melanie came out to go over the results and the plans moving forward. Best is we didn't have to wait for the test results to be sent out like our last place. Already got more information from here and it cost less for better quality. At least something positive is coming out of 2020.

Dr. Haines has been wonderful! She answers all our questions and always reassures us when we have a concern! The support staff are all friendly and reassuring when we drop off and pick up Obie! It's nice to feel comfortable when taking our cat to be looked at.

The expertise is astounding! The passionate caring environment is truly felt by pets and us pet owners alike. This facility is impeccably clean inside and out, always on par and quite reasonable in pricing too. The appointment availability is perfect for us working families to bring our pets to the vet for a checkup and they offer so many services too. Their all amazing! Come one time and you'll never have to switch vets again.

I travel a long way to Otterkill in order to see Dr. Joe. He is the only vet I trust with my two dogs. I have tried four vets and no one compares. I have spent an unimaginable amount of money on my youngest dog and no other vet could get it right. Dr. Joe was thorough in each exam and always got things right the first time. He is knowledgeable and loving in his approach. We are blessed to have found him and beyond grateful for his care!

The best vet I've ever been to. All 3 vets make you feel like your pet is one of their own. The nurses are great and take extra special care of your pet and make sure you feel comfortable and informed. The receptionist welcomes you and always greets your pet and is genuinely happy to see them. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a second opinion or wants their pet to get the very best care. You WON'T be disappointed.
