We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
Every pet owner eventually experiences the pain of saying good-bye to a faithful companion. The grieving process takes time, although the time frame is different for each person. Sometimes the grief is overwhelming, and a person might find coping difficult. Our staff is always here to lend an ear and to try to offer suggestions to help ease the sadness, but some people might need a little more assistance.
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.

Dr. DeVito has taken care of the needs for our "puppy" for the last 15 years. She and her staff are always there and meet the emergency & well-care needs of our DOG, whenever we call. Unfortunately, our toy poodle has had a tough life, with several surgeries before he was two. We appreciate these years of Dr. DeVito providing their services and would recommend her practice to any animal lover in need of her services.

If you're going to offer services that cost hundreds of dollars, don't be unprofessional and rude on the phone when a new client asks why they didn't receive a reminder call. As a potential client seeking to pay money for your services, I would expect to be treated accordingly. As a prior veterinary technician for 3+ years, I know the industry standards for common courtesy and professional conduct. However, I never received that from West Hempstead Animal Hospital.

Love everything about this place. The staff and Veterinarians are very friendly. The Veterinarians are also knowledgeable about what's going on with your fur babies. They treat your babies like it's was their own. Clean place before covid and now they're covid conscious to keep everyone safe. Their prices are reasonable. I would recommend this place to everyone who needs a Veterinarian for their babies. Thank you Dr. Devito, Dr. Cutler and Dr. Goldberg for taking good care of my 2 little guys and all my other babies in the past.

We bought in my our dog mostly for a second opinion on what to do about an injury that required surgery. At the first vet, we had been charged $300 for medicine that did little to improve his condition and were told he would need surgery that would cost over $3000. But we decided to bring him here for a second opinion and we were told he would need surgery but it would only cost less than half of the first price we were given at the first vet. The workers here are phenomenal and incredibly caring. This place deserves all the business in the world. I would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone with a pet.
