Bellerose Animal Hospital was established in 1946, in the developing borough of Queens, New York. Although it was founded as a veterinary hospital for small animals (dogs and cats), we continued to examine and treat farm animals, including goats, cows, and horses, until the early 1950s. From its inception, Bellerose Animal Hospital's philosophy promised progressive medicine and compassionate pet care with an emphasis on the alleviation of pain and suffering in animals and a commitment to guide and educate pet owners.

Though often overlooked by pet owners, dental health is a very important part of your pet's overall health. Dental disease is pervasive enough in 50% of cats and 85% of dogs over the age of 3 to require professional dental intervention and care. Pets who do not receive regular dental brushing and gum care can suffer from serious illnesses as bacteria from the pet's mouth enters its bloodstream and damages the kidneys, heart, and liver.

Wish you could give minus 10 stars.they see you as $$$$$$$$$$ real pity they don't understand these furry friend are our family. the staff talk to you as they read from the screen, no emotion no consideration.went for a small cold and came out with over $900,a nd all they say is " you can choose which treatment you want".are we the vet? Would anyone go to a doctor and not give the treatment the doctor advise? Real distasteful.treating you like trash of $$$$$$ SHAME ON YOU

I had a pet emergency today. My cat is a established patient at bellerose animal hospital and I called them today saying that he seems like he has uveitis in his right eye ( I am an ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis in humans). My cat appears to be light sensitive and has acute onset iris Heterochromia. I wanted him seen today, but I was told that there are no same day appointments.
I said it's an emergency and my cat needs to be seen today. I was informed that I will have to pay $160 to just come in and also $500 dollar for anticipated testing. I was appalled by this place's patient care and the upfront cost of $660 dollars to see a established pet. Clearly all they care about is money not my pet's health

# please stay away from these unprofessional money hungry people, took my puppy there for blood work, and pills refill, blood $90 pills $82 got there they saying she need more than blood work when they the one say they need to blood, phone got disconnected, then they say I hang up and they not seeing my sick puppy, how unprofessional are these people. They only care about money not sick animals.they are the worst. the owner is very rude. Be Aware wish I could give 0 star

They told me my dog needed blood work, make the appointment got there waiting outside for over an hour, then they call asking why my dog is there for, I said I guys have it in your computer, blood word will not work she need this and that, I said I guys said she need it to check her kidneys, phone got disconnected, then they say they not seeing my dog because I hang up phone.
As if they doing me a favor, , all they care about is money, they don't care about a sick animal. please stay away from these people, will report them to 7 on your side. very unprofessional and rude

Had to make a last minute appointment for my cat - and was a little hesitant to take him here based on reviews. I cannot speak to others experiences, but I thought the office and staff were great. They saw me on-time, were friendly, answered all my questions without feeling rushed, explained what actions they recommended and why with a detailed list of pricing, didn't push anything, and told me how cute my cat was multiple times :0

WARNING! Please do not bring your pet here. They only care about money. If they actually cared about animals their prices would be a lot more reasonable. I took my dog here for the first time a couple weeks ago only for vaccines. When i made the appointment the first thing they told me was that i had to pay $55 fee to book the appointment. Which is weird because I've never had to pay a fee to make a vet appointment before.
They seemed nice when i took my dog but after they brought us to the exam room. I'm told the prices for the vaccines by the vet technician tells me rabies and DA2PP is $65 each because it's a 3 yr instead of a 1 yr vaccines. I've worked in a vet clinic before so i know this is scam. Usually rabies and DA2PP cost around $20 each. They over charging people for these vaccines there is no difference in a 1 yr or 3 yr rabies/DA2PP vaccine that just tells how long it's valid for.
And i even mentioned this to the vet technician which she then tells me i could walk out if don't wanna pay this but I'll still be charged for the $55 fee. So i stay only because my dog needs his vaccines and i didn't want to wait another day for another clinic especially if i have to pay the $55 fee anyway. So just for 2 vaccines i get charged $218.50 that is a scam and the dental estimate they gave me was even more ridiculous.
I should've went to my original vet but i wanted to try a place that was closer but i will definitely not be returning. I'll even enclose photos of price differences for vaccines:

Dr. Hernandez has always made my sister and her dog feel comfortable during a visit. Even now that it's over the phone, Dr. Hernandez acknowledges the good with the bad, and provides solutions and treatment plans. We love our German Shepherd Lexi with all of our heart, so thank you for continuing to take good care of her! The vet techs are also super sweet.

Every doctor, vet tech and receptionist are the most professional, kindest people I have ever encountered. They take care of my babies as if they were theirs. They are the epitome of what a business and customer service are supposed to be. They have exceptional hours and are available 7 days a week. Dr Hernandez really knows how to run her company and I just love Dr Taddeo. Even my babies love them all too. Great job. You will always have a loyal customer in me. Best vets in NY hands down!

From beginning to end the staff was friendly and willing to help. Making an appointment over the phone was hassle free. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment the same day. Dr. Hernandez is very sweet, knowledgeable, and personable. Her assistant James was very helpful and handled my Luna with care. Will definitely become here for all my pet health services and highly recommend to others!
