Took my 2 cats there last Friday for their annual checkups. Things were uneventful for my grey tabby, however my older orange cat became a wild cat, thought I was watching an episode of "My Cat from Hell" when he went nuts! Dr Penyy and the tech handled him kindly and got the job done. They are so good with the cats, even a temporary wild cat. Great place and staff!

Dr. Penyy is absolutely incredible, as well as her entire staff. Each and every time I had an issue with my cat, they were accomodating, kind, and responsive. Bedside manner and genuine love for cats and animals is a must for me as a mom of a patient, and the entire staff obviously feels this way, without question. My cat also is super finnecky, and they were supportive of her need to be close to me to keep calm. This is another example of how they truly care. Thank you Dr. Peny and all of the Cat Doctor staff

So far so good. They recommended the right medicine for my cat's IBD. They don't waste time running test after test like some other vets.

Horrible experience. I have been taking my cats here for a few years now, and I haven't had a problem until just the other day. I previously had taken my new kitten there to get her first shots, they overcharged me for the shots. My neighbor, brought her kitten is as well and these 2 cats were from the same litter and she got charged less. She mentioned that I was just there before her, and I was overcharged, and the lady behind the counter ensured that I would receive my money back, as I was overcharged. Okay, Never did.

So I assumed it was loaded onto my account for the next time I came in. I go in just the other day, with one of my older cats, and I use a Groupon that the Cat doctor has. I used it and got the response, "this is your third time using it, and you can't combine your $10 which I don't even see, with your groupon, and that it's only for "new clientele." I than proceeded to ask if I would be able to use the money I was overcharged for from my previous visit, and they had no idea what I was talking about. Safe to say, we will be finding another vet.

We've been using Dr. Penyy for about six years now (since moving from Manhattan) and couldn't be happier. Not only is she extremely intelligent and current on the feline veterinary field, but she also has a very friendly "bedside manner". The women at the front desk and the techs are also extremely friendly and pleasant. When our first cat passed away from cancer a few years ago, Dr. Penyy treated us with compassion, especially when we decided to put her to sleep before a long holiday weekend (it was my first time going through euthanasia with any animal).

Now we have three new cats (all rescues) and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for their checkups and treatments. I love the small familial atmosphere of Dr. Penyy's practice.

I just had to write this review. I have been having issues with my cat for almost 2 weeks. Back and forth from my vet and 2 emergency vet visits. I needed another opinion because I was losing my mind. I called the cat doctor and they listened to my concerns. Went over my cats medical records from the hospital. From the staff who answered the phone to the doctor just amazing.

I am not even their patient and they went out of their way for me. I called other doctors over the last few days that wanted nothing to do with me because they weren't getting money from the testing because I had it done already. This is where I plan to bring my 6 cats from now on.

Not happy at all with my first visit for my new kitten. All they cared about was if she got her vaccines. I heard the word vaccine about 8 times. Never Asked how she was doing at home etc. There is no NYS requirement for kitten vaccines and I was told by the secretary they are required. That is a lie. My poor kitten has a cold and the last thing I would do would be to give her a vaccine when her immune system is low. I will never return as all they seemed to care about was scheduling vaccines.

Dr. Peny and staff are a caring, thoughtful group of professionals and you can rest assured your cat will be in very good hands. Our Emily is no longer with us but we are forever grateful for the care she received from Dr. Peny. If we ever decide to adopt a new feline you can bet our first day will be a visit to the Cat Doctor.

I am so glad I took the chance and went to see Dr. Penny. Immediately upon walking in the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. I instantly felt comfortable and knew my Cosmo was in great hands. I appreciated all that they did for my Cosmo and I will definitely be returning. My experience was amazing. I am grateful to have found this establishment and the lovely people who work there.

Good experience. Knowledgeable people, good service. My cat was quiet all the time: The doctor explained all about his ration and told us very important information about his diet. From now on, it will be our vet place#1.

Amazing vet! I've been to many different vets in this state between the 3 cats I've had in my life. I was a nervous wreck. but between the Receptionists, Vets Assistants and Dr. Penyy this place has shown me how much they truly care about my Cat and all cats. This is a Vet for cats only which I absolutely love. I would highly recommend the Cat Doctor to anyone looking for a great vet and care for their Cat/s.

Great atmosphere and staff especially Ashley the cat she really made me feel comfortable and right at home. Dr. Penyy was extremely good at taking care of my cat and getting to the root of the problem. I will continue taking my fur baby to her. I only trust her with my fur baby. I highly recommend this Veterinary.

I would like to thank Dr M. Penyy, Chrissy, Laura and the rest of the staff for Your the kindness, compassion and expert care that you not only provided to Chloe but also to me. After many years my dear Chloe developed maxillary cancer complicated by severe nose bleeds. Dr. Penyy 's erudition and compassion made this difficult day less painful as she was euthanized today. If you're looking for the best doctor in town to look after your furbaby then look no further. Dr. Penny is it. My baby boy was extremely comfortable and knew he was in good hands here almost immediately. The whole staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well, regarding anything and everything that you might be curious about to take better care of your feline. So happy that Yelp helped me find this gem of a doctor because my baby deserves only the best!

Dr and her vet tech are amazing with aggressive cats. Came from another practice who couldn't/wouldn't handle her and just wanted to put her under. She handled her gently but firmly and quickly to avoid her getting even more angry than she already was. Other vets have been so obsessed with calming her down before doing anything that they wind up making it worse, not understanding this is as good as she gets.

She and her amazing vet tech handle her great. The second time my cat came in they didn't even need to use a blanket it was amazing. I also never feel they're recommending something unnecessary. She says cats over 10 years old that are completely indoors don't need certain vaccines, which I appreciate. She has a long term customer in me and my cat!

FIVE STAR FIVE STAR! BEST doctor and staff I had ever seen, I living far away from the clinic, but I love their attentive and patient. Dr. Penyy was very friendly to explain every details about my cat, no regret to choose them, and i would highly recommend to my friends and everybody around me!

Very good with cats, good food and litter etc suggestions, very good cat hotel, friendly staff, the whole nine yards. You got check this place out if you have a cat!

Kind caring office. Our senior cat was very calm in this felines only facility. She actually purred during the exam. The vet was knowledgeable and spent time with us to explore our concerns.

I found The Cat Doctor on Yelp and decided to check it out after reading the reviews. I was looking for a place to board my cat for a few days. Before boarding, I set up a time for a check up for her and a tour of the boarding facilities. The customer service personnel present were nice and accommodating, offering coffee while we waited. Dr. Penyy and Sean were great with Mittens.

They were gentle and told me what they were observing as they checked her out. The examination was thorough and allowed an opportunity for me to ask questions as well. After the exam, I was able to check out the various types of "rooms" available such as the double wide cage, the condos, and the private rooms. Seeing the cats that were already there made me feel comfortable with the treatment they were receiving.

The center and cages were clean. In the end, I decided to board her there. Mittens stayed for 5 days. I received a few pictures and a video which made me feel at ease since this was our first boarding experience. Overall, I was happy with the experience. I look forward to working with The Cat Doctor in the future.

This my first Cat Doctor visit. My kitty was being really good on our way because I kept talking to him and reassuring him in the car but when we got there, he seemed really scared. The vet coaxed him out of carrier with 4 choices of treats, they were so gentle and loving and affectionate I couldn't believe it. (Honestly, I didn't get half the love from my ER nurse and doctor.) He needed blood work, shots and usual check up.

They were so loving you would think it was their pet. They explained everything as they were doing it and were extremely knowledgeable. Also, they didn't advise you get unnecessary treatment or shots. Not only did they offer him treats, but the staff while you wait were pretty swell too. They had some treats for the owners too, ie coffee, home-baked cookies, chocolates.there is nowhere else I would go to for my kitty's care.
