Assisi Veterinary Hospital

I am so disappointed I sent my dog their to get grooming and a shot since he's almost 1 and the amount of money i payed and everything isn't even worth it. First of all I sent him at 11:30 for his appointment. I called and asked when will he be done around 2:30ish and she said an hour so i came back and he wasn't ready still. Also worst of all she cut him fur so bad I get he had nots but last time he did also and she didn't even cut it this bad.

He has a huge chunk of fur on one side of his cheek that she didn't even cut properly. I called back another time and said, "That I was not satisfied with the haircut and that their is a chunk of fur on his cheek." She said"our hair tec just left so you can call tomorrow morning and cut it if you want." Like are you serious you messed up his fur couldn't she have just spent a minute to check if it's good or not before sending the dog out. I am thinking of possibly changing our grooming place. Sorry you lost a very good customer.

The staff was pleasant, and the office smelled clean and was spotless! Dr Jacoby was so good with my 15 yo ship tzu who is usually extremely anxious at the vet. She took her time to explain the treatment that was necessary. Tori the vet tech was super friendly and you can tell she has such a love for animals. I highly recommend them- I wish I came here sooner!

We have been very pleased with the level of professionalism coupled with the kindness and compassion demonstrated by each member of the entire team at Assisi. We feel as though each one of our pups receives the attention we expect and that they each deserve. Additionally, they provide comprehensive explanations and help to quell our anxieties throughout the process of providing competent care!

When our little guy ingested a foreign object, Dr. Guzman took a conservative approach in order to give time for the object to pass. He treated our pup for nausea, vomiting and dehydration and did X-rays (and ultrasound) to check for obstruction. He let us take him home with specific instructions for our pup's care and requested that we return if he does not improve by the next morning. Needless to say, our pup required surgery. Dr. Guzman and Dr. Jacobi provided the best possible care.

They personally gave us updates at regular intervals. Every member of their staff, from the veterinary techs and assistants, the receptionists, and the doctors treated us with dignity, compassion and respect for my family. What's more is that they treated our "Frank" as a VIP! Thank you to one and all!

My dog had a small paw injury from breaking a nail. It wasn't bad but we wanted it to get looked at quickly to avoid infection. They got him in right away and doctor and physician's assistant were so sweet and attentive. We were happy with the quality of care and also, they didn't overcharge. The bill was super reasonable! Definitely recommend.

We started taking our dogs to Assisi when they first opened in Malverne. From the very start the entire staff went out of their way to make us and our dogs feel comfortable. They handled everything from an upset tummy to a fairly serious surgery with excellent results. We have moved away from the area and were back visiting with our dog and she became ill.

I called Assisi and within the hour we were in the office being seen by Dr. Lopez who gave us the meds we needed to make our dog feel better. Even though it had been a while since we had been to Assisi they remembered us and were happy to help make our dog feel better. Dr. Guzman who owns the hospital is a great vet and hires people who truly have compassion for animals. I highly recommend Assisi Animal Hospital to anyone looking for quality veterinary services.

The staff is very patient and professional. I must admit, I am difficult, yet the staff and doctors all seem to handle my difficult personality very well. They have never made me feel uncomfortable or rushed during the care and treatment of my pup's allergy and ear infections (unless there is an emergency, which is completely understandable). The vet techs are very nice and informative.

I trust my puppy with them (both the vet techs and vets). I also like that the doctors always discuss their recommendations with me before moving forward or being billed (pre- and during the pandemic). Side note, I loved that they brought in Santa for the holiday season and took pictures of my puppy with Santa.

Dr. O'Leary is an amazing vet! The best of best! I have been going to her for over fifteen years. I followed her to this practice and recommend her to all my friends and family. She keeps up with new medications and always explains test results and options. She is excellent with my bulldog who sees her often with his many issues. He loves going to see her!

I also have also been very impressed with the vet tech Victoria who has always gone out of her way to make sure that he has a good experience. I cannot thank them enough for everything that they do!

I adopted a mini bernedoodle & have had such a hard time with her health. I spent 4 months at a vet that did nothing for her and didn't seem to care. I went to Assisi for one visit and Dr. Lopez not only helped my dog but validated everything I was feeling. We fall in love with our pets and so desperately need vets that will take a personal interest. Dr Lopez loved Mimi from the moment he met her. His staff was comforting, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank God I found these people. We are on the right track with Assisi.

I was referred to have my dog groomed, as most groomers that are not affiliated with an animal hospital are closed. My dog also needed to get his regular vaccines. The staff at Assisi were so responsive, updated me on everything and made the experience of dropping the dog off from the car seamless with everything going on now. Patti gave my dog Charlie a great haircut and the staff examined him and gave him the vaccines he needed. They called me and kept me updated through the whole process. I will be using this animal hospital and Patti in the future.

Assisi Veterinary Hospital is not just any animal Hospital. They are Professional who care about all animals, unconditional love, excellent care, knowledge, it is not just a job or a patient everyone is special. The service and support is unbelievable. Your pets will always look forward to visiting Assisi. You as a pet owner will feel right at home.

They will guide you through the most trying times. I highly recommend Assisi. Dr. Guzman is a professional, his love for his patients you can see it through his eyes and the quality of his Staff, well all of his staff are animal lovers. Jake & Annie love going to Assisi. Dr. Guzman has given Jake a second chance at life due to his dedication and knowledge.
