We are proud to offer personalized pet care for the residents of Micanopy, Gainesville, Ocala, and the surrounding communities. Dr. Molly Pearson has been caring for Gainesville area pets since graduating from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. During that time, she worked at Gainesville Animal Hospital for 4 years and Magnolia Animal Hospital in Ocala for 8 years. In 2000, she opened her own practice in scenic Micanopy, FL, and has been enjoying the clientele and their animals ever since.
Getting your new puppy or kitten off to a healthy start sets the stage for their lives as healthy adults. Regular physical examinations, core and elective vaccinations, fecal testing for parasites, and deworming are all important elements of ensuring good health for your puppy or kitten. Our knowledgeable staff can help your family learn about potty training your pup, performing nail trims on your puppy or kitten, dietary recommendations, and potential health hazards for your new pet.Spaying and neutering are additional topics to consider; the appropriate age for the timing of sterilization surgery may vary upon the species and breed of your pet.
Our family of cats as large as 7 adults at once, and even the occasional reptile, have all ben in the care of Micanopy Animal Hospital for 14 years. From routine care to emergent needs, they have done a great job and we have worked with some really talented vets that I think have gone the extra mile to be thoughtful about the patients and the owners.
In order to maintain our high standard of service, we require that payment is made at the time services are rendered. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. CareCredit: When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well.

I have been looking for a new vet for my critters and I have found it. We have only been here once but my dog was so comfy and relaxed that he decided to take a nap. The staff and vet were so loving and kind to him. They were friendly, helpful and informative to my concerns about my dog. I didn't feel vet shamed or forced to do a bunch of unnecessary costly testing.
I felt that they listened to my concerns and gave me their opinions and options of what could be done. Overall I was very happy with our visit and I think my dog was too. Thanks to Micanopy Animal Hopsital for the Cats Meow visit.

This place is fantastic. Team members treat you and your pets like family. They always go above and beyond. As a college student they also would help me find the best treatment within my budget. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're new to the area and need a new primary vet, I highly recommend trying Micanopy Animal Hospital! Edited to include that they have excellent Covid-19 precautions in place to make sure you can safely get your pet cared for even in the pandemic!

I was moving from central Florida to Indiana and my 17 1/2 year old dog started having some issues while traveling. I called to see if they could see him and they took him as soon as I got there. They only did what was necessary to figure out what was wrong. They informed me of charges before hand and told me how he was doing often. You can tell that they really enjoy what they do and truly care about your animal. If you live in the area I would definitely recommend taking your animals/family members here. They saved my boy's life and I can't thank them enough! Amazing people!

I have been seeing Dr. Pearson and the professional Vets and staff at Micanopy Vet Hospital for around 16 years. I first came to know them through my Rednose pitbull puppy, Titus who grew to be a 100 lb brute. He was an absolute beast and handsome guy and Dr. Pearson loved him. He eventually passed of cancer, but not before living an extra year and a half from the treatment he received here.
Fast forward to today and both my black and tan dachshunds receive care here one for 4.5 years and the other puppy for 6 months. We also board our dogs here when we go out of town and they are so loved and taken care of. We love and appreciate you MAH!

Customer service means a lot. I took my dog in for an appointment yesterday and there was some confusion regarding services. I posted a review. I am glad to see they really care about their customers and want to make things right. The lead Veterinary Doctor called me yesterday (same day) and everything was resolved. It's refreshing to see this kind of customer service. Yes, I was frustrated, but we are all human and make mistakes. The important thing is they proved to me they care about my dogs and the satisfaction of their customers. Thanks.

I wouldn't let anybody but Doc Molly work on my dogs. She is caring and compassionate. She is so willing to work with me. My dog is a pain in the butt. She is high-strung and known to snap at strangers. These vet techs really know how to work with the animals. I always know she will get the best care here even though she may not be the best patient.

I bring my catahoulas here for all thier vet car from the time they're born. It's not easy keeping four rambunctious pups calm but the staff here is excellent and provides them with toys and cheese and makes sure thier first vet visit is a good experience! I appreciate how kind and considerate the staff is and always gives the best care to my babies!
